well, march definitely went worse, so i guess i have that to look up with.

a bit of background is that i played over 200 hours in march and went around $45-->$135 in nl2, nl5 and nl10 with very little information on how to play and no real idea what i was doing. i finished March with SilverStar status.

at the very end of march i met up with Reload on LP who was kind enough to introduce me to the website. for all of April i feel that i improved and played a better game . i did some nl5, nl10, nl25. i was rolled around 135 originally and now i am around 550.

my peak was around 930 at nl25 and for the last 5 or 6 days i have been on a major downward swing, losing about 10 buyins in total. i am sort of on life tilt but to make matters worse i do feel that i am getting a higher than average amount of draw outs / coolers.

of course, i guess every cloud has a silver lining and i pushed a little bit over the top to hit platinumstar for the first time. note that i really have not been playing a lot ever since ive been on a tough swing. because i have been running bad i try not to play too long if i feel i am making bad decisions and etc, so a lot of this came while i was still on a half decent run. maybe i need to play less.

idk i am a pretty hardcore gamer coming from playing 12-16 hours a day of world of warcraft when im really into it

so i think when i am running hot i can easily play 10k hands in 1 day on umm, if its fr it would have to be like 12-20 tables over 10 + hours

the problem comes when i start playing poorly or running into bad beats and second guessing myself. i cant keep up that many hands obviously, its not healthy poker anymore i dont think.

i got cold in the last 6-8 days i really only played 1-3k hands a day which is very low for me, i have been very unmotivated and like i said on life tilt a bit, and just running cold. i will take a celebratory break from poker on april 30 since i have met my requirement for platinumstar and my mentor has recommended i take a day off in this cold spell

and *edit* i really am trying to make sure i wasnt just running super hot earlier and now i think normal is cold. i have been doing just 4 tables over the last couple days and really trying to bank ever so slightly. i still really strongly feel this too shall pass and ill come back to some better times. *shrug*

$400 downswings suck ass. I've seen some of your beats and they are brutal. I'm on a decent downswing myself. Great job on the platinum star though and GL.
