Hi, im TRACKDO1, "Track" for short, and i'm new to LiquidPoker. I don't have a background as a gamer like a lot of you guys seem to be. I'm an old fart and Donkey Kong is the game of my generation. I came to this site to try to learn how to play (6 max) NLHE. I've trolled most of the sites over the past year and this seems to be the best of the best when it comes to HARD CORE NLHE 6 MAX. I landed here because you guys seem to be working twice as hard learning to be the best grinders period!

Im going to try to keep this blog updated with my progress as i start my (6 MAX) NLHE education.

Im a full ring limit grinder and intend to start my NL baby steps at (6 max) $25nl. $25nl may be a little bigger then i need to start, but that's where i'm making my stake.

I ended my thrid PokerStars session tonight a little sooner than i wanted. cold cards and dry flops were putting me on tilt, so i called it a night. I put in 2100 hands and in all of the hands, my biggest pot was $10.65 sick!

I got PokerTracker/PokerAce HUD and this stuff is way too cool. after 3700 hands my vp$ip is 19 and preflop agg is 4.5, i need to get my aggression factor way up closer to my vp$ip... i think?

3700 hands ($79.50) not a good start!

I'm ($79.50) in the red now after my first 3700 hands. I made a few bad calls and too many bad rivers to count.

Maybe it wont be long until i'm putting dents in Jonnycosmo's roll LoL!!

Wish me luck and say hi if you see me grinding $25 6max on Stars.

welcome,

and preflop aggression is a meaningless stat

what is your preflop raise %?

i dont play 6 max but im pretty sure u should aim for about 12 (tight) to 18 (semi-loose) and once u get that u are on the right track. its mostly about post flop play so just keep playing hands and questioning situations so you can improve as fast as possible

12.40% preflop raise
19.48% vpip

Maybe i'm running a bit loose preflop because my post flop play is still too weak for this many starting hands. i'm looking for my sweet spot and hope i find it fast.
I'm more worried about my post flop play. I'll be posting my comfusing hands for you guys opinions.
