At the advice of Oxy (thanks a bunch) I started playing 5+50 SNGs instead of 10NL to build my bankroll so I can get to 50NL and start to play real poker. The nice thing about the non-turbo tournaments is you can play them much more like a cash game early to mid game it seems. Ended up $43 ahead, which I believe figures to 71% ROI, while 6-tabling. (11 games...2 1st($22.50/game),3 2nd($13.50/game), 2 third($9.00/game)) If you can play a decent cash game style early-mid game you can bust fish pretty easily. They will call with anything just about. Plus, the tournaments get me fpp faster than 10NL was, so Im that much closer to clearing the astounding $50 deposit bonus. In light of today's success I think I'll stick to these SNGs for a while and hopefully get rolled enough to play 50NL.

Your roi will probably be higher in non-turbo sngs, but you should consider the turbos, because you can fit in alot more games per hour. Also the rake is much better than the non-turbos as the 6.50's have a higher buyin yet the same entrance fee as the 5.50's

Once you go turbo, you don't go back, when im playing turbos, its a snooze fest up until the push/fold stage.

Anywayz, just my 2 cents

Yeah ive been talking to oxy a little recently about sng strategy and hope to feel good enough about my game to move to turbos soon. Ill just put this out there preemptively...i know ROI after like 20 sngs means approximately nothing i just thought id include it.
