I'll take the contrarian view. I think the forum has a tendency to cyber-bully Neilly. He consistently gets insulted for no reason at all here. Taking Baal's point of view though, these recent grudge posts were ridiculous lol, hard to know what was going on here. Also alot of people are quick to point out that these Neilly posts are stupid, but I don't think that's any excuse to flame the fuel on things like that stupid grudge match for example with a vibe of reveling in this type of entertainment popcorn.jpg style. imo people are more empathetic towards neilly than anyone else here all things considered. he's consistently ignored every bit of well-meaning advice given to him for so long, it's not surprising that the majority of replies left are trolling him. since he doesn't listen to reason the best option is probably to ignore him which i try to do more often now, but jesus have you seen his posts? we're only human lol.

By bullying I mean this. He didn't make a blog just to shit talk that guy. He was doing it to defend himself in reference to the aforementioned comment, albeit in a stupid way. I'm just saying he's probably a extremely sensitive and neurotic dude and alot of the time people randomly treat him pretty poorly. In this instance he is just going about his business and boom some dude that he hasn't done anything to uses his name in a way that implies Neilly is stupid/dumb/etc.

How would you like it if bigredhoss was used synonomous with things like that. i.e people randomly saying dude your just like bigredhoss, etc. Furthermore referring to someone as bottom 1-2%, etc those are very hurtful things and I would guess you wouldn't be able to do that in real life and keep a straight face.

people should be nice (myself included) but come on it's a poker forum not a menstruation therapy room. stuff like that is said all the time, the only reason it was noticed in neilly's case is because he reacted like an attention-thirsty maniac. it's not everyone's responsibility to cater to his neuroticism.

i probably wouldn't have made the 1-2% comment in real life you're right, tbh i really was trying to make a comment to the effect that i believe a lot of people with misanthropic views have a very narrow focus on only the most negative/depressing aspects of human behavior. but of course it was also a dig at neilly and i probably could've re-phrased it.
