gonorrhea can live in and infect the throat
HIV there's not much data but consider it impossible
oh kissing on the mouth only? basically only herpes 1 which a lot if not most people have |

I caught mono that way... technically not a STD but when do you fuck without kissing? So imo it's a STD. You can also get it from sharing a drink (saliva). |

you can technically get herpes2 in your mouth on the offchance that the person you are kissing somehow has it in their mouth
and in that case it's not a super big deal because once it infects your mouth it almost definitely won't infect your special place
so i would say don't worry about it, either that or i am an ignorant retard
remember std.gov is the kind of force in the world that has to fight poor people from filling the population with STDs, in contrast to something like the catholic church which supports the misery of proles if you take even a brief look at their history of discouraging condoms
anyway i don't really know what prompted this inquiry but basically you should never worry about the safety of kissing |

but then you'd be able to pass it to your partner's special place through oral sex |

Generally just HSV-1, HSV-2 generally doesn't recur in the mouth. Its pretty rare to get most other things, ud have to be kissing someone with a pretty fucked up mouth, your more likely to get something when you go down on them, the mouth heals quickly. |

Its pretty rare to have bleeding sores in the mouth, and they wont bleed for long. Where as sex involves a lot of friction/irritation and can cause bleed more easily. And aids is the only real worry. |

Yea HPV can cause throat cancer IIRC
I knew a kid when I was in highschool that had herpes or something on his lip and he claimed he got it from his girlfriend.

Key Points
- Some types of sexually transmitted human papillomaviruses (HPVs) can cause genital warts. Other types, called high-risk or oncogenic HPVs, can cause cancer.
- High-risk HPVs cause virtually all cervical cancers. They also cause most anal cancers and some vaginal, vulvar, penile, and oropharyngeal cancers.
- Most infections with high-risk HPVs do not cause cancer. Many HPV infections go away on their own within 1 to 2 years. However, infections that last for many years increase a person’s risk of developing cancer.

| Michael Douglas has revealed that his stage 4 throat cancer was the result of an HPV infection that he got from oral sex. In an interview with the Guardian last Sunday, the 68-year-old actor was asked whether he regretted smoking and drinking, both of which are linked to throat cancer. He answered, “No. Because, without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV [human papillomavirus], which actually comes about from cunnilingus.” |

Yea, he's correct. It's spread through "direct skin-to-skin contact during vaginal, anal, and oral sex" and it is possible to distinguish between HPV-positive throat cancer and non HPV cancers.
| Oropharyngeal cancer is a disease in which malignant cells form in the tissue of oropharynx. Oropharynx is a middle part of the throat that includes the base of the tongue, the tonsils, the soft palate, and the walls of the pharynx.[1] Oropharyngeal cancers can be divided into two types, HPV-positive, which are related to human papillomavirus infection, and HPV-negative cancers, which are usually linked to alcohol or tobacco use.[2] |

I like how Douglas doesn't want to be specific but then he does it anyways. |
