There are many different models.

Some teams will not take any, some will take. Some teams have fucked up contracts where if you want to leave, you have to pay the team money and the longer you've been with the team the more you have to pay.

Number seems realistic. I've never seen an SC1 team contract but I know reasonably well what the korean SC2 teams contracts used to look like.

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

Are we talking about sc2 here?

If yes, then you are right. Afaik, there are some teams which split the prizemoney between players and only top-tier players like Flash, JD, etc. get to keep the amounts won.

Put it that way and it becomes very unlikely. They can't do shit with that money anyways. Maybe there's a clause in the contracts that players contribute to running the teamhouse with a part of their winnings, however that is dumb as fuck as well, lol. Whenever a player wins a trophy, the sponsors get more exposure, so they should be more happy to play the wages, expenses n' shit, then when a player does not win anything.

seems standard when you get to play/learn from rain and parting. re negotiatte when you get good etc .they are providing a service/giving you a very productive environment after all.

My friend is thinking of providing a very similar service except with iBanking. And I think it's more than worthwhile since the opportunity of not having a job is the 50k you don't work + all the future growing potential since you start later. you get your IRA maxed out later, it grows much slower, it takes more years to full, etc
