I wanted to play a lot of poker in October, but instead played a lot of Civilization V and only so-so poker.

First half of the month I played mostly headsup, played very little but did quite well (was up about $3.6k after first 8k hands or so). Second half I played a mix of headsup and 6-max zoom, played a bit more and did quite poorly. Also ran not very good.

The result is pretty disappointing as I hoped to get at least the same like last month (+$5,4k real, +$7k ev).

I played only about 106 hours this month. I hope to play at least 130 hours next month and do much better. I wanted to start playing a bit of 2/4 by the end of this month, which didnt happen, but I will try hard to get to PLO 2/4 asap. Also would be nice if higher zoom plo started running regularly.

And looking forward to next tuesday when I will be able to withdraw my FTP money, finally!

3.3 bb isn't that disappointing, just not enough volume. GL. No one is playing 200 zoom because everyone is stuck at 100 nitting it up.

to chris:

I didnt enjoy grinding midstakes NLHE anymore, it seemed to me that every reg played basically the same and the differences were mainly in tilt control. And also I tried several shots at 25/50 that didnt go well + had some bigger nonpoker expenses (bought an apartment etc.) and then didnt want to go rebuild at like 1/2 or 2/4 NLHE and instead decided to learn PLO. I would be lying if I said I expected my progress to be this slow, tbh I hoped to be playing midstakes by this time already. But at least I enjoy playing PLO way more than NLHE because people still play it with a lot different play styles and its not that obvious what is better etc.

Yea I want Zoom 200 to run more too, it'd be fun as hell.

I started joining Zoom PLO200 everytime I go play zoom, even if I am the only one there. Usually 20 buck spin does the same and sometimes a couple more regs too. Start doing so too and maybe we can get the game going.
