Drama shows? last time I checked entertainment was not America's weakness. I'm ready to be overwhelmed by Sweden's epic entertainment accomplishments, lay it on me.

Blizzard is a pretty fail company currently, their game designers have no clue. It shouldn't be so hard to make sequel's, instead they try and completely restructure their games by removing many key elements of what made the originals so good.

Games thrive on competition and social structures, blizzard keeps subtracting from both.

I liked sc2 but it's nowhere near as fun as scbw. I can't even touch sc2 anymore looking forward to hots and see if something changes, but I don't think it will.

It's just a shame because I legitimately got caught up in the whole E-SPORTS hype of the last 2 years, its what attracted me to Team Liquid in the first place. Turns out it doesn't exist though and we're a bunch of whiny faggots crowing over our respective games on the internet, what a surprise. I can't even say teenage whiny faggots because seemingly respectable men like DJWheat are getting in on it too.

Even as an old school SC/BW player I just can't give a shit about SC2. Blizzard did really well to kill SC and the Diablo lines.

you guys are absurdly pessimists. SC2 is not bad. yes, it has some flaws compared to BW, but is still good to play and watch.

the ones who are switching to LoL are doing it cause they aren't good enough in SC2 and want to play easier games. they have nothing to add to the SC2 community, they already gave their maximum and can't compete at the highest levels anymore. so, we are not losing anything with their switch to LoL.

the competition level in SC2 is too high, which is awesome.

incontrol is right, some people expected SC2 to be as big as LoL is right now, but it won't. and that's not a bad thing, SC2 can survive just fine with the numbers we have right now.

the sc2 foreign community is billion times bigger and stronger than the BW foreign community. people love watching this game.

and for korea, we still have big companies sponsoring teams, but if for some reason the korean scene dies, the foreign scene will stay.
I don't think we need korea like we needed in BW.

these shows always get the same view numbers from 1 year ago. they are still fun to watch and people still like them.

like djwheat said, the view numbers haven't decreased. and we have more content then we can consume. too much shows and tournaments. it will stabilize with time.

I tried SC 6-7 times 1-3 weeks, to like it, but get super nostalgic. Ends up I just miss SC/BW lol, that game is a lot better, and 13 years older, doesn't make sense. They need a game that's better than it's predecessor, that's the biggest flaw with it. (And make the fucking Protoss units manly lol, not sound like whiney bitches xD)

this is the reality in all game genres today. the only improvement we've seen is in the moba scene I suppose, but that doesn't really count because dota2 and hon is almost exactly the same as dota1, which is a good thing so props to valve/s2 games


FPS games are dying, q3/cs1.6 are so superior to any of the latest titles
same with MMOs, UO/DAoC etc are 100 times better than any other new mmo on the market except for maybe darkfall but that game is in the wrong hands anyways
