Have played about 10k hands since my last entry and some ppl seems to want me to keep posting so ill just update a bit on whats been going on. I tried to make a video twice but I somehow fucked it up both times leaving me with no sound T_T. Im going off snowboarding tomorrow so wont be able to make one then, I will have to wait till the day after tomorrow until I make another serious atempt.
Geez, I really hope this video will get interesting now that Ive built up all this tention
Poker is still treating me well, I now have 50 buyins for 3/6 so I see no real reason why I should continue to grind 2/4. The last two days I have only played 3/6 and I plan on staying there, making 3/6 my main game. Im quite confident Im capable of beating 3/6 for a good amount of money and to be honest the game dynamics fit me better. Overall players are a bit tighter and I love to punish nits.
In other news, me and my brother are going to italy (Livigno) for a week of snowboarding in April. Im looking forward to it sooo much, Its going to be fucking awesome. Going to need to grind alot the following days since I soon need to cash out some money to pay for the trip, and I would like to, if possible, avoid moving down to 2/4.
Anyways, here are my stats so far, god praise february!
I have pretty awesome tilt control. But it isnt all me. Whenever I get bad beat I throw up the following 2 videos.
The first one is the mangalore (from 5th element) version of Tony G yelling at ralph perry.
The bruce willis head on sammy farha kills me everytime, along with pretty much everything else in the video. Tony G better hope they dont see how he negotiates though.
The second video is a trailer for Saw 4. Pretty quick turn around by Jigsaw to be spitting out another movie so fast. Here you can see him at his finest:
If this trailer is any indication of the 4th movie, I'll be willing to wait outside the theater for a long time before to secure myself a ticket to opening night.

Still playing good but somewhat nitty poker. After continuing to run good, I decided to try the 3/6 games out. I just played 4-tables cause the betting amounts makes me confused and I suck so bad at math I have to think for like 1 hour before deciding what the best 3-bet amount is etc. Obv I ran incredible the first hour. Made some pretty good calls and some well timed bluffs. The game seemed alot tighter than 400nl so I loosened up a bit but without going crazy or anything.
After that the shit kinda hit the fan. I made a couple of bad calls, and aparently bluffed where my read was right but my opponent hadnt found the fold button:
Probibly shouldnt have gotten involved with a hand like A10 in the first place, and stuff like this doesnt really piss me off. Just shows that the games are very profitable.
After actually being down like 1k for the session(HUH, ME DOWN MONEY WTF!?) I ran into this hand:
Aparently my luckbox was just temporarily on break, and that guy overplayed his hand so bad. Resulted in my biggest pot won so far, ship it!
Im actually going to stop blogging now. This will be my last blogpost about me being a running good luckdonk. It just feels like it doesnt serve any real purpose and like Im just shoving my dick in the face of everybody whos struggling with a bad run. I will still post once in a while if I have something interesting to say, and you can expect me to update the blog 5 times a day as soon as i start running bad, me being the whiny bitch I am.
I also decided to make another video since many people seem to want a new one. Will probibly make it for 200nl on party some time this week. Stay tuned.
I've always used this metaphor to help describe what kind of personalities play poker. Different people handle bad situations differently. And lets face it, there are a lot of bad situations in poker. So the question of the day is:
What do you do when poker starts pissing on you?
Imagine the following: You are standing in some random spot. At the same time, there is a man who is on top of a ladder, pants around his ankles and using what the good lord gave him to release the golden shower on top of your head. Yes he is pissing on you. So what is your course of action?
The Bankroll Nit - He doesn't like getting pissed on for the obvious reasons. But he lacks the balls to do anything about it. In response to getting pissed on, he simply moves out of the way. The poker equivalent to this would be someone who plays it safe, if they can't beat a game they move down and grind until they feel it's safe to move back up and tackle the higher stakes. This guy often uses the 100 buy-in rule to justify taking a shot. At the same time, is willing to accept help but doesn't necessarily need it.
The Safe Grinder - He doesn't like getting pissed on either. But he has a little more balls than the regular bankroll nit. In response to getting pissed on, he kicks down the ladder and runs away. The poker equivalent would be someone who plays it safe most of the time, moving down when he needs to, but does everything in his power to move up within his "safe" limits. He often uses a safe 30-40 buy-in rule to justify taking shots. At the same time, he is willing to accept help but doesn't necessarily need it.
The Stubborn Grinder - He doesn't mind getting pissed on. He can take it! In fact, he's probably very use to it. In response to the situation, he grabs an umbrella and stays in the same location. The poker equivalent would be someone who refuses to move down in stakes even when they are losing. They just don't lower themselves to "running away" from the problem and face the problem head on. Often times they don’t use any bankroll management at all. At the same time, they accept help from anyone who can give it to them. Most of the time they need a lot of help. But eventually they will learn to deal with the problem from their experience.
The Stubborn Degenerate - He doesn't mind getting pissed on. And from the looks of it, he seems to enjoy it. In response to the situation, he willingly stays in the same spot and continues to get pissed on. The stubborn degenerate always seems to think that if he stays in the same spot long enough that maybe the guy will stop pissing on him. The poker equivalent would be someone who has too big of en ego to ever move down. Nor do they accept help from anyone else. They think they play perfect poker and there is nothing to learn from anyone. When poker starts pissing on the stubborn degenerate, he blames it on variance and hopes that his luck will break even. Sadly he never learns and often goes busto because of it.
The Degenerate Gambler - He likes getting pissed on, and everyone knows this is a fact. In response to the situation, he firmly plants his ass in the same spot and finds enjoyment in getting pissed on. The poker equivalent would be someone who knows they suck, but just plays to have a good time. And a good time they have as they blow through their bankrolls and redeposit several times. They never want to take the time to learn anything from anyone, and therefore they find this habit a repeating cycle.
The Winning Grinder – He doesn’t like getting pissed on. And he has the balls and the smarts to do something about it. In response to the situation, he kicks down the ladder, then gets into a fight with the guy pissing on him. There is no guarantee that he wins the fight, and sometime the guy that was pissing on him kicks the Winning Grinder’s ass and gets back on top of the ladder and continues to piss on him. But one thing is clear: the Winning Grinder does not take shit and does something about it. The poker equivalent would be someone who learns from his experience, and has the balls to do something about it. He uses the 20 buy-in rule, but rarely finds the need to move down since he learns quick and figures out how to beat games. He accepts help from people around him but rarely needs it.
The Big Winner – He doesn’t like getting pissed on. What he does like is pissing on other people. In response to the situation, he climbs up the ladder, pushes down the guy on top of it, and then starts pissing on him. The Big Winner always finds ways to turn problems around and benefit from them. He picks his fights well, and doesn’t get into conflict unless he needs to. The poker equivalent would be your typical SBRugby or GreenPlastic. They are smart about the game, they use safe bankroll management skills, and pick their spots very well. They will run away from a problem if it is profitable for them, they will tackle a problem head on if it seems profitable for them. They see the bigger picture and figure out how to be the biggest winner.
So what type of player are you? And please be as honest as possible.

Was home at my parents this weekend so didnt play all that much. Kinda nice to take some time of poker and do other shit. Got back today and just finished a pretty big session of 8tabling 400nl. The games are sooooo fishy on weekends, I love it. I should start getting drunk on the weekdays and stay sober on weekends. I loose alot of precious money by being drunk/hung over.
Stylewise, I have gone from being a lagfish to standard tagfish and now im probibly best klassified as a nitfish. Im still playing really agressive and i 3-bet very light preflop so im not that worried about turning into Doomer.
Obviously im still running really good. Im hoping this is a lifelong heater.
My plan was to stay on 400nl for quite some time, but I have changed my mind. Im soon pretty well rolled for 3/6 and Im going to start taking some shots during weekends/when games looks fishy.
I dunno though. Im actually thinking of switching sites. I got this offer of up to 50% rakeback on a cryptologic site so that would be pretty sweet. Not leaving until my heater is over though, dont wanna jinx anything.
Got some stuff i ordered from full tilt today. A new ipod video 30 gb that kicks ass, going to be a challenge to fill it with just music though. Also got some books (Hoh 1-3, NLTAP) hopefully these will be of some help.
But the most baller thing of all, I got a full tilt hoodie and a red full tilt baseball cap.
I look like a fucking retard wearing it, its so awesome. Im probibly the whitest guy you will ever see wearing that gear. I ordered the hoodie in L and aparently these are mainly made for fatass americans cause its fucking huge!
Unfortunatlely I can never leave my appartment dressed in my awesome gear, but atleast I can look like a poker wigger while sessioning.
Going home to my parents this weekend so probibly wont play a whole lot of poker. Its fine though since ive been putting in pretty good hours this week and im profiting like never before.
Im running really well and playing really well so far on 400nl. It kicks ass!
Today I played my first session of serious 8-tabling 400nl ever. Played two rollercoaster sessions of around 2k hands each. The games are a bit tougher than 200nl but man, theres so much dead money in these games. The regulars are a bit more agressive but I see players making fundamental misstakes all the time.
The play is generally a bit tighter than 200nl so Im probibly going to loosen up a bit once I get more used to the game dynamics. So far Im playing pretty nitty though.
I just wanna share a pretty bad ass hand I played at the end of my session. Biggest pot I have ever won
(Btw, ignore my retarded raise preflop, still not used to the betting amounts and I wasnt thinking straight T_T)
Yesterday I was sitting in the vent channel doing nothing after a hard day of pokergrinding, and felt the sudden urge to drink some beer. I bought myself beer and being as diciplined as I am I decided to stay off the cashgames and play some tours instead.
The only tour that was available during that time was a 11$ speed rebuy on partypoker. I like playing rebuys but I wasnt sure if speed rebuys where any good. Turns out, speed tournaments fucking suck. Its the biggest crapshoot ever. After first break average stack is like 4 big blinds. Me, having rebought like 15 times, was in pretty good shape after the break though.
Somehow I ran into some trouble, and I found myself sitting with less that 2 bigblinds at one point. Being the baller I am, I picked up AK and trippled up.
Everything went really fast and eventually I was CL at the final table after pulling of some sick suckouts and busting the guy second in chips with AK vs AQ. Winning after that was ez since I only got premium hands like AK, AQ QQ and everybody else had like 4 BBs.
$2500 to me. Ship it.
Now my roll is a bit over 15k so Im definitely going to start taking some serious shots at 400nl
Just a quick comment on the hand i posted last time. I talked it over with some very good players and the one who's opinion i consider highest (i wont say who cause he likes anonymity) told me he shoves here cause of stacksizes and folding with that little less on a paired board seems really hard. But if we were a bit deeper he thinks flat calling he could be a very very smart play. I agree with him (assuming we werent too too deep, in which case it would become very hard to get any value out of sets on a flush board).
Ok, so my first full month at 25/50 is over (I got back from pca on the 11th and started playing on the 13th). here are my stats for the month for PLO and NL respectively:
Things went pretty well for my first month at higher stakes, I dont think I ran particularly well or bad, so I hope this is sustainable. Ran pretty bad in omaha at the end there but I still feel I have a pretty significant edge in the games on stars.
ok, so i basically made 150k the past month. Now for the ballerism:
So I called my credit card company earlier because the limit on my card was $1900 a month and I needed it raised a bit for hotels and flying to tournaments and stuff. I'm on the phone with some lady when the following mini-convo comes up:
After that, she asked me if I wanted my credit card limits raised up to 35k, the highest I offer. My mom (also on the phone, it was a 3way call) yelled at me for telling her I made that much and I decided to just raise them up to 6k, enough for hotels/flights/creditcard roulette degeneracy at restaurants.
Oh yeah, one little tiny rant. Pokerstars wont sponsor me for the monte carlo tournament, WTF.
Hello Ryan,
My name is xxxxxxx, I work in marketing at PokerStars. I recently
received an email from Tamar regarding a sponsorship for you to our Monte Carlo event. Unfortunately we are choosing not to sponsor any additional players to Monte Carlo at this time. This decision has been made in part because of the ever-changing state of online gaming in the U.S right now. We are scaling back much of our U.S marketing and sponsoring players located in the U.S falls under this part of the budget.
Please feel free to reply with any questions, and I'll be sure to be in
touch if our U.S marketing strategy changes in the near future.
Best regards, and congratulations on your PCA win!
Talk soon,
xxxxxxx
That sort of sucks considering last year's champion is on team stars. I hope the US online stuff clears up. I really wanted to be a part of team stars and bring a young face to some of the tournaments. Oh well, its just donkaments.
My new goal for the year is to have my cash game winnings for the year surpass my PCA win total. I think it's attainable, ill be playing a lot of poker this year, and I basically have to avg 130k a month or so, which is hard but doable if i put him like 40k hands a month.

You think I'm joking? I can keep putting these up!
On another note, aba20 aka sbrugby plays like a monster in yesterday's episode of High Stakes Poker. It's really something that you guys shouldn't miss.

Ok, after my little "coke" incident, my keyboard is so fucked up. Its a pain to type so Ill just make this a short update. Been running semi bad at 200nl but im recovering. Got flush over flush:ed 4(!) times last session. Pretty sick huh? Guess I deserv it after luckboxing for so long.
I compensated my loss by tearing up one table of 400nl.
Things are looking up for the college dropout. I didnt play any cash yesterday cause I was so fucking hung over, so I decided to play some tours. Tried to sattelite into the big sunday tours on stars and party but failed miserably T_T I played a 22$ rebuy instead and it went pretty well until party fucked us all over.
Partypoker was my first love in poker and I still have great affection for the site. As Cat Stevens says, the first cut is the deepest. But sometimes its just too obvious how retarded party is. With 35 players left in the tour (30 gets paid) the tourny suddenly froze. Apparently something bugged and the tour never started running again. This after like 3 hours of playing. I was a little below average in chips and party made some retarded plit of the prizemoney based on chipcount so I got like 150$ deposited into my account today. FUCK YOU PARTY!
Awell, its all good though. Just finished a pretty long session of 8-tabling 200nl ending up +$1400. Ship it.
The conversation that followed is just plain golden:
FMAOP: what an idiot raising limpers with A3 suited?
FMAOP: whats that for an idiot?

SakiSakii: blame it on the boogie
FMAOP: thats enough bad play for 78 hand s today omglol

FMAOP: against you
FMAOP: cards doesnt matter noob
FMAOP: you have vpip of54%lol
FMAOP: A3 suited ...tststs
FMAOP has left the table.
Here are my stats so far:
On another note, I spilled coke all over my keyboard yesterday so now its all sticky and shit and really hard to type

So yesterday we got a semi-LP.net home game together with mfcmurray, Avi8tion, tbc79, luminous, and myself at a NL25 6-Max table. I proceeded to do my usual ass kicking and built up a nice stack of $125+ through these hands:
Then Lee Jones seemed to have enough of me pwning ass for one night, as I proceeded to be souly responsible for rebuilding luminous' bankroll in the following hands:
JonnyCosMo: bets $84.60 and is all-in
KOSTALATA: calls $28 and is all-in
Showdown JonnyCosMo: shows (a full house, Fours full of Eights)
KOSTALATA: shows (four of a kind, Eights)
KOSTALATA collected $76.10 from pot
Summary Total pot $78.10 | Rake $2
Board
Seat 1: JonnyCosMo (big blind) showed and lost with a full house, Fours full of Eights
Seat 2: mfcmurray folded on the Turn
Seat 4: KOSTALATA (button) showed and won ($76.10) with four of a kind, Eights
Seat 6: tbc79 (small blind) folded before Flop
Ouch ! I ended up down $27.50. so lame! You know what I need right about now to cheer me up? A TalentedTom Picture!!
AhHhhh that's better. :-) Where is our poker instructional video Tom? We are all waiting.
