In my last blog I started my ultimate quest - to go up from $0.50 to $1000.
So as I planned i balled $0.1BI tournaments, got up to $2!
It was a long and hard struggle! Even had to bring my laptop to toilet once cuz of diarrhea... It was that intense!
Then, decided to try out playing little Limit Holdem. Damn, its like playing with 9 call stations! You never know what they might have... So if you dont have at least AA or 2pair - better fold...
After getting some lucky hands, I decided to try out HU LH, just for kicks... And got damn lucky! Got to play few guys who would raise to sky with their MPMK... I gladly accept the money!
But then it began.... I regained my confidence back... What a bad thing confidence is... I tryed out NLHE. Playing shortstack of course. First 1k hands went ok, as I would win some all-ins and lose some. So in the end I would be left with some profit.
But today everything went wrong. Had $8, opened 6 shortstack tables, and lost 4 all-ins in 30mins, won - 0... And I thought being AA, KK, QQ, AK tight will make a difference...

So how do you guys play tight poker in lowstakes fullring?
All-in is a coin flip...
If you make top pair or smth, they wont call you (cuz they are tight too)...
Bluffing 5 times and winning will be equaled out by losing a bluff once (same with stealing BB)...
So all you do is keep losing money with BB and getting lucky/unlucky.
While i was playing it seemed that 8 out of 10 ppl in the table were playing according to GroT's guide. So if they raise, they dedicate themselves to that hand.
So, guys, can you explain where is the profit? I dont think you can start playing loose on a FR, cuz somebody WILL have better hand, and I already told you about bluffing.
It's getting really frustraiting, cuz everything I read about poker seems to not apply for lowstakes FR NLHE.
So, I'm back to nuts hunting in limit holdem...
PS, I am starting to feel, that Titan poker doesn't like multitablers... Cuz if I play 2 tables - I can at least play with profit, but with 6 tables - board is always against me.
I feel so good right now been playing for 4 hrs str8 (normal for my session) 8 tabling 25nl.
I feel so confident in my play despite the occasional badbeats. I want to thank [vital]myth for kindly helpign me when i asked him. And also all the CR videos and myth's videos has opened up my game a lot + game in general.

ok, I ran bad today at NL100, so what did I do...
I made a prop bet with a good friend of mine to get my mind somewhere else..

He is giving me 2.5 to 1 odds that I can not win 100 buyins in 2 weeks at NL.25 6max so I've laid down $100 to his $250
However, I do not feel $100 for $250 will keep my determination and drive up to par for two weeks, so I'm willing to lay down the same bet for two other respected/well known members who would like to join in.
I am willing to take 2 other ppl (well knowns on here) for $100 a piece, or if ur a well known baller on here that obviously $200 is nothing to, then I will do 1 person for the remaining $200.
This is nothing serious, it is more of a spur of the moment type thing for fun, and like I said I don't think $100 will keep my incentive or interest.
I have never done this before nor have I done the math of how I should go about any of this, I am just trusting my gut and going at it.
I feel I will profit in this experience at least mentally if not in my wallet.
If I get action, I will also blog daily results, at least once a day until the prop bet is over.
This bet will start as soon as I get a total of $300 for $750 in action and I post a screenshot with times and balance here.

On vacation for the week with my parents at the Jersey Shore. At night I'm pretty bored, but I found out we have wireless. Problem is it only works outside so I have to sit on the patio and it's pretty cold at night. *shrug* hasn't stopped me from grinding. I've been doing alot of tweaking and seeing great results right away at 100NL 6 max. I know I'm running pretty hot but it feels good to make some money while vacationing. I stopped playing poker around New Years but recently started up again from the bottom. I stupidly cashed out my roll because I thought I was done with poker due to having no motivation to play and doing other stuff.

It seems McCain is happy to keep launching the smear attacks with lies and misrepresentations to try and paint Obama as a "Tax and Spend Liberal", just like all Republican's have done to their Dem opponents in the past. Sadly people are often too lazy, ignorant or stupid to realize that it's a bunch of BS, so they get scared thinking "I can't afford higher taxes, fuck obama!" and they vote Republican. But for the VAST MAJORITY of American's, if they just bothered to do some research they'd find that they're going to save more money in Obama's tax plan than they will under McCain's. It's all quite maddening.
So here is the latest McCain ad with some fact checking for you guys to see.
McCain released three new ads with multiple false and misleading claims about Obama's tax proposals.
* A TV spot claims Obama once voted for a tax increase "on people making just $42,000 a year." That's true for a single taxpayer, who would have seen a tax increase of $15 for the year – if the measure had been enacted. But the ad shows a woman with two children, and as a single mother, she would not have been affected unless she made more than $62,150. The increase that Obama once supported as part of a Democratic budget bill is not part of his current tax plan anyway.
* A Spanish-language radio ad claims the measure Obama supported would have raised taxes on "families" making $42,000, which is simply false. Even a single mother with one child would have been able to make $58,650 without being affected. A family of four with income up to $90,000 would not have been affected.
* The TV ad claims in a graphic that Obama would "raise taxes on middle class." In fact, Obama's plan promises cuts for middle-income taxpayers and would increase rates only for persons with family incomes above $250,000 or with individual incomes above $200,000.
* The radio ad claims Obama would increase taxes "on the sale of your home." In fact, home-sale profits of up to $500,000 per couple would continue to be exempt from capital gains taxes. Very few sales would see an increase under Obama's proposal to raise the capital gains rate.
* A second radio ad, in English, says, "Obama has a history of raising taxes" on middle-class Americans. But that's false. It refers to a vote that did not actually result in a tax increase and could not have done so.
These ads continue what's become a pattern of misrepresentation by the McCain campaign about his opponent's tax proposals.
Update, Aug. 12: The tax falsehoods continued with the release of a McCain Web ad Aug. 11 claiming that the "perks" of joining the Obama "fan club" include "a tax incease for everyone earning more than $42,000 a year."
Ive been playing 3/6 mostly last month or 2 with occasional 5/10 shots. Unfortunately I just make a ton more money at 3/6 right now as much as Id love to be a 5/10 reg. I am still going to play soft 5/10 games whenever I can but its nice knowing I can just fall back down to a limit like 3/6 and win a decent amount whenever Im low on confidence. This is last month or so of just 3/6... August is going ok but I only have like 13k hands in for +10kish.
haha, so thursday and friday at casino morongo was a pretty damn good time i must admit.... i got absolutely 0 hands in online from thursday afternoon till now, but i made like 250 at morongo so that covers my online slackage, friday nights party was pretty bad ass, we got through 2 kegs and like 500$ of hard alcohol (mostly generic brands so it was quite a bit haha) saturday was a pretty bad ass day, got to see pineapple express which was absolutely hillarious easily an 8/10 movie if not better :D, the girl i went with turn'd out to be so chill, ended up going to the pool hall for a few hours after, and then late night dinner always bad ass, saturdays party was no where near as fun as expected so we bail'd early and just hung out together for a while... then today went golfing shot a 91 so i'm happy and tomorrow i got a tee time for me and my dad at noon, at a pretty tough course, so we'll see if i can keep in the low 90's haha oh well this week back to the grind :D glgl all
