Been about a month since I've started and I'm running 7ptbb/100 over about 23k hands. It's not an amazing sample size by any stretch but it hasn't felt too entirely ridiculous either. I've had some awful luck and I've had some great luck, some setups against me and some for me. Everything has felt really "typical". As usual, my biggest problem is my inability to dedicate a consistent amount of time every day to playing. 23k over a month is higher than I usually am but playing 14 tables I should easily be able to play 100k hands a month. I'm thinking making a prop bet with a couple poker buddies might be good, just something to try and form a playing habit...nothing huge, but enough that I'd be forced to take it seriously. In any case, graph for the sample. again, the sample is small but I've never had a graph look so pretty.
I've stuck religiously to 4 tables max, and have made some pretty major adjustments to my game: Lowered cbet %; 3betting light in position; double barrelling against certain players; generally just really concentrating on making reads rather than ABC poker.
Also I've started making a list of regular donks, who I search for before a session. Is that really bad?? There's this one guy who I must have stacked about 6 times now.
Here's an example of a hand I just played against him. He loves to represent the flush, but would nearly always at least bet pot on this turn if he had hit. Easy river call

Anyway here's a graph of the month so far. I know I've played fuck all. I couldnt really play for about 7 of the 17 days, but even on the rest I'm generally only playing 1 or 2 hours a day, max.
I'm really pleased with how different it seems to last month, The adjustments I've made has really seemed to help and I do feel like I can confidently sit down and make money. I'm rolled for NL50 now, but I'm gona get 30 buyins before I have my first crack at it!
Anyway, I'm going back up north tomorrow to spend some time with my girlfriend. STILL no internet at our flat, so I could potentially not play anymore this month. We shall see.
played the million on starts and the 200k on UB with half my action
on starts
we out AA v JJ apf really early .. standard cooler
I was doing much better on the 200k UB had around 35 bb raised AKs from co to 900 BB made it 2100 I tank for like 30 secs and shove, he called and his TT held up
that left me criple with 16 BB then just stole some pots here and there.. 200 ppl left 90 is itm I had 15 BB picked 66 on md and shove botton calls with QQ and im out
so yeah.. negative day pretty gay Im going to cash out the rest of my roll around 900 and quit playing for a while
so as extra motivation i'll be posting what happened poker wise each day (and some non poker stuff sometimes ).
Anyways, I was sitting at almost 2k at 50NL and I had a sick 18 BI downswing. I thought it was all me running bad but oddeye helped identify certain spots in which i was spewing (mostly due to tilt). That alone has helped my game so much. I try not to focus on results anymore and just worry about playing my best. Some big losses of the day:
JTs: blah...not much to say. I got that money back 5 hours later. Mofo hit and ran.
KK: lol...UB jokaments
TJs: standard that I don't hit. Seriously that's like 0/10 for combo draws recently.
AJo: he had just pushed A3o the hand before. He was also the donk from the first hand.
AKo: Hahah...donk. Took over half his stack later tho .
I played nitty basically. Usually run at around 21/19 but this is UB...no need to be too loose when they pay you no matter what. Also can anyone tell me how to get the graphs from PT?
I'm looking for audio books of that Tony guy,hes that big tall guy who talks with a mic on stage, i forgot his last name, anyone know what im talking about ?
well so i had what i may call my biggest downswing of a young poker career between last friday and tuesday i dropped like 10BI at nl50
i took several days off, contemplated the meaning of life, played some old MOM/MOO/MOO2 pc games and that sort of thing, and then i made a house mix on friday night and i guess im back for another shot after a nice sweating session with royal_rumble (and some bw games where i did NOT level him obv just lucky )
heres the house mix, id love comments but please only from people who are into the genre at least somewhat, it doesnt help me if a alt rock or hip hop guy comes and says he doesnt like it or what not.
i was kind of confused and wanted to make a progressive and electro and trance mix and i didnt really do a good job of transitioning between them. well sort of. hope you guys can enjoy it.

And he left leaving me over 800 bucks... What a douche.
Broke up with my gf 2 days ago after 5 months... so.. RL emotional downswing. Wasn't really a nasty break up, more like we agreed to take time off, but still not pleasant.
Poker doing ok. Playing 4 tables NL10 6max on CDPoker and am currently sitting at $329 in my bankroll. Playing at a nice 10,4 BB/100 winrate over 7K hands.
Stats 21,5 | 19,5 | 7,46
The last 1K hands or so, I've been playing more like a LAG style coz it seems people got nitty here... I didn't change my style on purpose, more like I 'see the matrix' of these tables now so I exploit the weak points.
Some agresive opponents, some 3betting, but it's alot of fun. I'm killing the limit, and will move up once $400 checkpoint is broken.
july was nice ... asfgga fdlkfasdpofhby whamm!, August 16
started good for 1 fucking day 1st session up 4bi. then nonstop coolers and shit almost every fucking goddam session. tried rebuilding at 50nl then 100nl fucking happens again. tried everything including limit poker lol. fuck you pokerstars
i played almost 0 poker online after my last entry, but i did manage to sneak into Harrah's New Orleans with a few of my friends. I turn 21 on the 27th so we needed to pull some tricks to get me into the casino. After deliberating over many possibilities, including one where I borrow an id from a friend who wasn't with us (didn't turn out to be a good idea since he got the new id two weeks ago when he was almost completely bald and i have a full head of long, beautiful hair..), we decided to just have one of my friends go in there with his id, and then have another friend bring it out to me waiting outside a different entrance. ROFL the system is CIRCUMVENTABLE
so yeah I only had 100 in cash that i found lying around the house (lol..) so i had no choice but to buy in for 50bbs at the 1/2 table. FOURTH hand of the session i pick up Q8ss from the SB and EVERYBODY (ten player table) limps so I obv insta fistpump limp.
flop comes Q9Kss which was like the nuts to me after having to play so tight thus far. I lead, my left calls, and then it folds to a black guy with a cigarette tucked in his ear, who 3x's my bet. it folds around to me and i'm like, okayyy fuck this and i shoved for 50bbs and i covered him... the guy next to me thinks for a second and folds his T-hi flush/straightdraw and the raiser snap calls with K7o. ONE TIME!!
and yeah he obv sucks out. fuck my life. i toss the dealer the 2 dollars i have left and sheepishly get up from the table, wondering what the hell i would do with the rest of my time here.
i was thinking about asking one of my friends for a stake but then i realized what a nit he was... but i went over to ask him anyways. and RIGHT THEN, he gets up from his seat with his fists in the air in celebration cuz he won a bad beat jackpot for 5k at the 1/2 table he was playing! LOL!!! hahaha
he happily forks over another hundred (50bbs again, woohooo fucking nit) which i triple in 30 mins at the same table i lost at with the awesome image that i built in four hands, getting paid off with every top pair good kicker or better.
unfortunately for me however, the black guy who took my chips lost his money to some rock nit old guy with a massive stack. his final hand he called off his last 20bb with K6o on a 557r flop vs. JJ. fuck my life.
oh and this one guy hid his AA very well...
ep raises, guy smooth calls in position, heads up to the flop.
flop comes rags, ep checks, he checks.
turn comes another rag card, ep checks, he checks.
river pairs the turn rag, ep checks, he... checks? WAT?
oh and a different friend won a 1.5kish pot at the 2/5 with AA vs. a J8 on a T96hh board. so he treated us to breakfast at 5am.
...
online pokerwise i think i'm done.
i don't have the enthusiasm to play more than 100 hands in the same session anymore.
i can't stay focused so yeah i'm prob going to cash out the 150 or so i have left.
GL guys
I gotta get back to translating this graduate dissertation on land economics from korean to english. that i can do. poker i cannot.
Well the shot at 50PLO is going alright so far. I haven't played nearly as well as I would have liked but I'm still humming along at a semi-decent 5.5pt/bb. I'm not really satisfied with this at all and I'm hoping I can bump it up to 8-10pt/bb by the end of the month. I also happen to think that 12pt/bb+ is probably achievable at this limit in 6-max. I had a few small struggles adapting my FR game to a 6-max one but once I settled down on some fundamentals I started to do well. Had a lot of major adjustments to go through over the first few thousand hands but I think at this point I've established my comfort-zone and will continue to progress from here. Graph time .
-1k at 2/4 and -$400 at 1/2
today I played pretty much like a maniac and spewed a ton of monies and should've quit long time ago but kept on playing T_T
big drop towards the end was rivered trips vs boat in a 3bet pot that he somehow managed to check behind the turn with on a really drawy board
a couple of people ran at like 100ptbb+ against me and quit after winning 2-3 buyins off me in less than 100 hands
This is what I get for trying to read an opponentby Sicks Macks, August 15
I don't tend to try and read opponents too much. I keep an eye out for general tendencies (opening hands, 3 betting hands etc), but I'm usually a guy who just tries to get money in with the nuts, and raise strong openers. Well, I finally got what I thought was my first genuine read on a player, and decided to hero call because of it... and I get a face full of variance. Oh well.

Also I realize preflop was light; the limping was getting ridiculous... but I don't love A5s. Should have raised more (not that that would have changed anything here).
Apologies for the bad beat post, but I really have never called all in with middle pair in my life.
