It finally feels go to be back to where i won the most so far. Im over rolled for the $6.50 45 mans. I have 128bi just waiting a little longer to move up to the $12 45 man turbos. Hoping to pull a nice profit per week while running 12 tables. The last week of grinding $6.50 MTT avg about gaining about 15 bi per session. 1K I will move up to the $12 for a nice comfort zone. Last time i was on the $12 limit i took to many gamble and flips with a 3K roll and had a huge downswing cause lets face it I didnt really care about $12 flips. Well this time it is back to ABC grinding to pull profit and build a FAT roll and hopefully be on of the top LP tourney players. Lots to learn many years to perfect but if vanessa russo can do it from $10 well FUCK HER SHE SUCKS!!! I can do it from $8 Well back to jamming to some house wwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeee.

I got called by UB cause they had some "Top player VIP promotion" which is apparently whoever is top 3 in status point on the top 10 of their long term player get a free seat at Aruba (Worth 8.5k). Some player didn't get contacted and haven't played for a while. But on a side note I have really nice RB 10/15% more and it's much easier to find tables at my stakes on ipoker at any time. Also I managed to rebuild my roll on ipoker had two good days (2.5k and 2.2k), I'm still down something 3k from my up point and I have 2kRB+600 deposit bonus. If I didn't get offered that it was pretty clear to me I was going to cashout everything on UB cause of the lack of tables. So I'm up 10k, 7k UB - lil over 3k iPoker for august. What do you think should be my next move, where do I grind?

I'm pretty disappointed with how it turned out, I was on track for something really nice and just got raped at the end of the month.

Can't complain too much, this was my first real month of 2/4 and have also mixed in some 3/6. Coaching seems to be working

I'll make a blog/forum post soon about whether I should quit working or not fully but don't feel like it right now!

I know 20BI downswings are part of the variance but ffs it's surreal.

Oh well..I'm gonna move down and grind NL50 and move up to NL100 over rolled as fuck and not run like crap.
I hate myself for semi-tilting away 1,5-2BI, but I can understand and forgive myself for it

Feels great to be beating 25nl, although not a massive sample yet so i shouldnt get too comfortable - ill be happy after beating it for 25k hands. Check my hands if you want to see some hands from todays session, although no one probably cares enough without me posting here with some details, but im too tired right now and about to goto bed. Thanks to everyone IRC and here on LP for helping me with hands and improvig my game.

To me McCain's VP pick screams desperation, is an insult to woman's intelligence assuming that they will vote for him cause there's a vagina and a pair of tits on his ticket, and shows the way he makes decisions is all about his gut and gambling. I'd rather not have a president who's willing to gamble our countries future on a political stunt, picking the least qualified/experienced VP in history, a woman who makes Obama look like a political veteran, a woman who doesn't believe in global warming and is staunchly anti-abortion (even in cases of rape).

I don't get it - according to Republicans Obama was too inexperienced to be president and was not ready to lead, but Palin (who is younger and has a shorter record than Obama) is a-ok? And considering how old McCain is and that he's had past health issues, his VP has a high chance of becoming president. Now I am not saying that she gets an auto thumbs down cause she has less experience - I don't believe in that. But it's so weird that republicans will bitch and moan about not enough experience from Obama therefore he can't be prez, but it doesn't bug em to have a VP with even less experience. Maybe the argument is that "it's VP, not the Prez, so it's different" but I feel that with a prez who has such a high chance of not finishing his full term that the VP is VERY important.

I believe that experience is not as important as good judgment, sound decision making, and the ability to hear all sides of an issue and come to an informed decision which respects all parties involved. I believe Obama has all those qualities and is smart enough to surround himself with very experienced people from both sides of the aisles and then take in all of their advice and reach smart conclusions. I also believe Obama has the ability to inspire people to take action and love their country even more than they do right now, to come together and work for a greater future for the entire USA. For me those things make up for the lack of experience. Plus, I do feel like he's had a decent amount of experience (8 years in State Senate, 4 years in the US senate, and time as a community organizer), though obviously not as long as many other politicians.

In comparison I think Palin has much less experience, to the point where I'm thinking "errr, this is pretty thin". I also don't see that same judgment. She doesn't believe in global warming. That's scary to me. She's very anti-abortion and is against exemptions for rape. She's also wrapped up in an investigation about her abuse of power, and after Cheney I've had enough power abusing VP shit to last me a life time.

This was an interesting article from Politico.com on what McCain's decision says about who he is and what kind of leader he will be:

1. He’s desperate. Let’s stop pretending this race is as close as national polling suggests. The truth is McCain is essentially tied or trailing in every swing state that matters — and too close for comfort in several states like Indiana and Montana the GOP usually wins pretty easily in presidential races. On top of that, voters seem very inclined to elect Democrats in general this election — and very sick of the Bush years. McCain could easily lose in an electoral landslide. That is the private view of Democrats and Republicans alike. McCain’s pick shows he is not pretending. Politicians, even “mavericks” like McCain, play it safe when they think they are winning — or see an easy path to winning. They roll the dice only when they know that the risks of conventionality are greater than the risks of boldness. The Republican brand is a mess. McCain is reasonably concluding that it won’t work to replicate George W. Bush and Karl Rove’s electoral formula, based around national security and a big advantage among Y chromosomes, from 2004. “She’s a fresh new face in a party that’s dying for one — the antidote to boring white men,” a campaign official said. Palin, the logic goes, will prompt voters to give him a second look — especially women who have watched Democrats reject Hillary Rodham Clinton for Barack Obama. Palin is a champion for drilling, the Bush-Cheney approach to energy policy that brought us $4.00-per-gallon gasoline and the rising threat of global warming. Like McCain, Palin believes that oil drilling is the only solution to our energy problems. "I beg to disagree with any candidate who would say we can't drill our way out of our problem," she says. She supports more drilling in protected areas of the Outer Continental Shelf and the Alaska Natural Wildlife Refuge, once attacking McCain for his "close-mindedness on ANWR." But the Department of Energy believes that offshore drilling "would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030." Moreover, about three-quarters of all the oil in public lands in the continental U.S. are already open to drilling - and yet only one quarter of this oil is under production. I have this poker player on my msn. He's really bad. He's not my friend or anything, just someone I got talking to at a table. He plays between .05/.1 and .5/1 blinds depending on how he feels.

He's just messaged me telling me to come play with him and that hes drunk. He's sat at a nl100 table... i play nl25 (on the verge of moving up).

So far I've kept very strict discipline with my bankroll management. Is this +ev to go play with him or not worth it?

Mizzou vs Illinois is tonight at 730pm central. Mizzou got fucked by the BCS last year and I hope we can get into a BCS game this year, but it all starts with tonight. Being a Mizzou sports fan is to be constantly disappointed so I won't really be surprised if we lose, but I really want to have a sweat for a big game after winning this important matchup.

Ran so bad in august. By far my first losing month this year and my worst month ever. Even though i didnt lose much i couldnt get nothing started and it stayed that way. Luckily stars rewards people with fpps so that has helped a shit load. If there was no fpps id of prob quit by now. The coolers this month were rediculous and losing 80/20s happened all month. Idk check out these graphs and let me know..pretty sure it was runnin bad with alittle bit of tilt in the middle

Well, I just moved in to college, and it's meh so far, i'm not that much of a drinker so I couldn't really get into the whole go get fucked up and pass out at a frat thing. So instead, I decided to play poker. Did kinda well last night and today. Here's my graph.

I have restrained myself from writing this blog for one entire day.

"BAD day at poker" is why im dedicating this blog to you.

I lost 11bi's in 2k hands yesterday and when its actually nice to see someone run bad when you're running bad because it makes you feel spontanteusly better because deep down inside we're all pricks on some level,its not nice to see a bragpost hidden as a whine post.
