| | Yug stuff by Yugless, September 05
Most of last year I was playing 3/6 and taking shots at 5/10, but at the end of the year I had a downswing and dropped down to 2/4 to recover. I did really well from the beginning, beating it for over 5bbs/100 since I moved down and decided I would just stay because I can make a very good living and it's lower variance and stress. I know all the regs and I just feel really confident and comfortable at this level. But I've seen a few players spring past me in the last year including wobbly, Babs and Doomer among others, and im kind of jealous. It was exciting playing 5/10, clicking the high stakes tab on pokerstars and winning $1000+ in one hand, and taking a hard look at 10/20 when I saw a good game running although I never played. So, I can continue grinding out a very good, comfortable, safe living or I could move up and try to really make a ton of money. I always laugh at the people who don't move up from .5/1 or 1/2 and that's probably how I look to the 5/10 people. I think I'm going to move back up to 3/6 at the end of the month assuming I have a good month. I've been playing a lot more 6max and I think that should help me because good full ring games are almost non-existent once you get past 3/6.
I really need to conquer my laziness and complacency, I get disgusted with myself for not playing more because I'm leaving so much money on the tables. I used to sit on my computer and play for 10-12 hours every day, partly because I loved poker (not as much as Loco though) and partly because I needed the money to pay my bills. Fear of losing your house and having your electricity turned off is a great motivator. Lately though I can't stand to play more than 2 hours at a time, so I've started playing one 2 hour session in the morning and one 2 hour session in the evening. I've always had this idea in my head that the games were really tough in the mornings but that's just not the case. There are fewer games running but it's still very profitable. I think the fish:shark ratio may be even better in the mornings.
I moved at the beginning of august. I lived in a duplex and was having a lot of problems with the guy who lived above me, so I decided to just get a whole house to myself. It costs $400 more a month but it's well worth it to have a nice quiet place to live. It's kind of a woodsy area and there is a family of deer that live nearby and often come to my yard to eat from the various fruit trees in the yard, so that's pretty cool.
I'll leave you with this

| | Day 5 by phexac, September 05
So the world seems set on not letting me get the necessary hands in to reach my FPP goal. Today my dog was sick, and I spent a lot of time cleaning up after him and washing stuff, so only got about 500 hands in. Those hands went well though, and I was able to net almost 3 buyins. I have been focusing on taking advantage of regulars at these stakes by exploiting their propensity to play too many tables, not pay attention, and have hard notions about how a certain ranges of hands are played. Most important of all, I just did not run into any coolers or bad beats today. It's nice when that happens
Here are some fun hands from today:
I am a station:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=519732
This guy was handing out moneys:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=519733
Then I misclicked away a buyin and considered breaking something but decided against it in the end:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=519738
Pretty much all the big hands were pretty standard. I tried to get something going by picking on other regulars, but they just kept folding, so that didn't come to much.
I am still trying to get the necessary FPP for the $1050 event, but it is going to be quite difficult. At the end of the day, I can afford to pay to play since I will make that money up in a week and a half or so of 5,400 FPP Sunday million sats once those are running again, but I really would prefer to buy in without putting up any of my own money. It's still doable, but it will take a lot of work considering I only play 6 tables of 6-max at a time and do not intend to add any more.

| | 4bi in 37 hands by Day[9], September 05
i was up just a bit from a few hands, but i literally had won 10 pots in a row, so
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/519687
i had been notably aggro, cr the last 3 flops we'd played and 3betting on flops when i was in position. so, lets go ahead and induce a bluff on a simple board
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/519689
so then when i have a good hand, i'm going to be flatting and hoping to cr again if i hit (676 is "hitting" enough for me). note how to extract value from someone who thinks you suck!
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/519692
if someone's tilting vs you, any decent board texture is the NUTS. i had no idea he'd call though
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/519693
again, lets induce a bluff
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/519699
all in all:
http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/573/hurapeso5.png
During current Hold'em 1on1 session you were dealt 37 hands and saw flop:
- 10 out of 18 times while in big blind (55%)
- 9 out of 19 times while in small blind (47%)
- 0 out of 0 times in other positions (0%)
- a total of 19 out of 37 (51%)
Pots won at showdown - 8 of 9 (88%)
Pots won without showdown - 11

| | First NL50 session by lazymej, September 05
Okay so it started off alright, was up just a bit for a while.. was playing a bit tight because MANY MANY fish. But then it all went to hell when some guy flew under the radar and limped aces in a multiway, I raised in position and then I get reraised. Fucking weird. Of course he's a donk so he only got $20 off me at showdown (reel in much?). Same thing happened shortly after. Guy plays Aces like the station he is. I have KK, and the board was undercards. Of course he gets payed off without doing anything. Just unlucky I guess. Also another station with JJ with undercard board. I had KK he spikes his J on river. Anyways it's all good I was just a bit unlucky. Didn't play that much anyways - just got some exposure to the 50NL scene.

GL at the tables everyone!
P.S. yes I know it's only 1.611112 buyins

| | Stars, wcoop and other stuff by SakiSaki, September 05
After taking 11th in the million last sunday for 7,5k, Ive been using that money to play 2/4 HU on stars. Its fucking awesome. Nobody knows me there and I get constant fucking action from bad regulars. I have in just a couple of sessions turned that 7,5k into 16k
I also love the software. If the wcoop doesnt eat up my starsroll completely I might start playing there regularily. The last few weeks I have been kinda struggling at ipoker. I havent been getting alot of action at all and the action I have gotten hasnt really been super +ev. I have noticed that just switching sites for a while really helps beating yourself out of a negative spiral so I definitely want to have money on atleast two sites, preferibly 3.
Speaking of the wcoop, I cashed in the first event, just busted 847th for $346. I think I played well throughout the donkament, I made one misstake in the first hour but thats the only one I can think of. Im starting to realize how huge it is to draw good tables. I was just running over my table after the 3rd break sooo much. Cards didnt matter, I just took down every single pot I entered with agression.
I loved the structure in this first event, and I hope the rest of the events will be similar. I never really felt forced to do anything radical due to the blinds getting huge or anything, we could actually play poker all the way which is awesome and gives me a huge edge. I feel I have gotten alot better at donkaments and I am very excited for the coming events in the wcoop. Run good one time plz!

I succesfully finished my 4 week praktikum today and i am finally free again.
no more getting out of bed at 6.20am ( which i hated so much the last 4 weeks)
SO the next weeks probably will feel like heaven.
Every day will consist of about 2-4 hours BJJ technique training
+ 3-4h learning university stuff for upcomming exams ( i dont have to go to the courses though which is nice
every second day will add either 2-3h of " stand up fight" training or 4-5h of Poker
2-3 times a week i will either go running or swimming ( endurce for feets and arms)
2 times a week i might add specific wight lifting and body weight excercising
1 time a week on saturday i will have 3 hours of specific MMA training.
( ON the weekdays i will train Groundfighting and stand up seperated)
Sunday i have completely free so i do whatever i feel like.
okay so BJJ + MMA + University is only thing i have to do next weeks
additionally i add some pokerz
ship life !
btw i went on mega tilt some days ago ...
didnt want to go to work next days so i opend 2 HU poker tables NL200 at late night and pulled of emo moves .
randomly spew away liek 1 K >-<
lol
I really fucking get too much tilt affected when i am unhappy with life conditions.
Its like when i am forced to do things all day that i find very boring
i get so emo depressive >-<

| | I hope it's like this every day by NiTE, September 05
Wow, today was my first day at NL20 and from what I've seen, it's a fuckin joke over at ipoker.
So many idiots it's fuckin hillarious...
I have to dumb-down my NL10 play strategy to be able to milk these idiots the most.
At NL10 I used to tweak my play to suit my position VERY much. UTG I'd maybe open 10% hands, cutoff was at aroun 30% PF raise, and button ~40%.
At NL20, players per flop is WAY above the NL10, so I totally tightened up my range, and I'm not so cute on the button anymore.
2 high cards -> raise, hit flop, bet pot, bet pot, bet pot and watch villan show 3rd pair shit kicker.
I don't CBet missed flops, unless very safe.
I think I could cruise these stakes without making a single bluff, or maybe even semi-bluff.
God, I hope every day continues like this one. Time will tell I guess.
A few semi-bad-beats happened, and it's the reason I'm at only 9PTbb/100, but since then I modified my play a bit coz I realized who I'm dealin with.

| | Selling: WoW Account by NotSorry, September 05
With the coming expansion I really don't have the time to get hooked into wow again and seems the only way I'm going to be able to quit for good is to get rid of my account. Able to split the two chars to different accounts if needed. Both chars are on the US Tichondrius PvP server and are open for transfers and name changes. Account also includes a few craftable mules and over 12,000g.

| | HEM Discount Code by Kilay, September 05
My HEM trial version just expired and obviously I'd love to buy it but I am just a microstakes grinder playing 25NL taking shots on 50NL. I could obviously buy the 55$ one and upgrade it later but I heard that with either Deucescracked or with Leggopoker (maybe with both even) you could get a discount code that would make you able to buy the full version for 55$ and I was wondering if anyone maybe would still have an available one and isn't planning on using it and might be able to cut a deal with me for it or maybe even soo nice to just give it me, hehe.
Just PM with whatever proposition or whatever and we'll see.
Greetings, Kilay
