Terrorizing music by remember87, September 13

I played earlier in Kulturnatten and everything went pretty well. The city is full of music and its a long time since I saw so much people in the streets.
I live in the middle of the city so I am able to see everything in first view. I thought I would enjoy it but its very very enoying! They´ve decided to put the international stage just under my appartment so now the music is not only in the streets but also in my home... That would have been ok if they played good music but its like 100 drums that are making sound in irregular rythms.. I am thinking of three possible solutions: Either cut the sound cable, throw in like 50 eggs into the audience and see if they disappear or just play such loud music inside that they wont hear the stage anymore.. Got any better suggestions?

I also were at a opening ceremony with thousands of other people. The city have decided to light up Domkyrkan (Uppsalas cathedral) so it will be visable at night. Before the only landmark was the castle but now we can also see the beautiful church. Since I see the cathedral every time I come home this will be a nice improvement

Vegas 21 Run by JizzleSmitts, September 13

So I'll be in Vegas from September 17th-19th with two of my friends for kind of a mutual 21 party. If anyone is going to be there during that time as well it'd be fun to meet you. Also, was wondering where the best 1/2 or 2/4 NL games were played at?

To poker: Been playing decently the last few days, up about 1k or so.

A few hands that hurt my winrate yesterday:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/524907
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/525184
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/524915
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/524916

And a few that helped:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/525226
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/525209 <---lol
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/525236

Stats for this week @ NL 200. Let me know if anything looks glaringly bad, I think i might be defending my bb a little too much.

Poland again....bleh by Gawuss, September 13

I've just came back from the USA. Poland seems kinda shitty right now to me. I've been to NYC, Chicago, Milwaukee and Hawaii. Bought a lot of american stuff, ate a lot of american shitty food and spent a lot of american money lol. Some more detailed story later ( maybe in a week or two - I don't feel like doing anything but nothing right now )

Oh and btw. - while being there ( 5 weeks ) I played poker twice and won $600 total lol... Now I have to play at least twice as much I would if I played every day of August.

WCOOP-19 25k HU by Fayth, September 12

Hello, I'm planning on playing the event, and I'd be willing to sell up to 50% of my action

Since I'm also near busto on stars (5k) I would need to get someone who could transfer enough so I can register for it...

FUCKED. by eightfourO, September 12

I've been living in the Dallas area for 20 years, and i've never seen any rain from a hurricane since i've been here. As a matter of fact, the only weather related incident i've seen from a hurricane is it dropped to 70 degrees and was really windy when Gustav hit a couple of weeks ago.

Ike is now a Category 3 hurricane, and in Galveston it started flooding b/c of the storm surge the hurricane brings when the hurricane was still 200 MILES AWAY. They are expecting to get another 2 feet of rain b/c of the hurricane. My friend was there and the "Flood Wall" that galveston created at 5 P.M. today (four hours ago) and said that water was already overflowing over the wall. The wall is 17 feet tall.

From my understanding, the last Cat-3 hurricane that hit Galveston was in the year 1900, and 1,600 people died. Obv, they didn't have technology that said would make them aware of a hurricane, and they couldn't evacuate, so the death toll won't be as high, but damn.

Going back to the "i've never seen the effects of a hurricane in Dallas", If the hurricane stays true to it's size and path, it will hit Galveston as a Cat-3, then it will be a Cat-2 when it reaches Waco, then then a Cat-1 HURRICANE when it hits DALLAS, finally turning into a tropical storm when it gets into OKLAHOMA.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/14718db81cb20788c3c40308b5bf177c.jpg

So Galveston is flooded, hurricane has yet to make landfall, expected at 1A.M., they will get 2 more feet of rain. Dallas will be hit by a hurricane, and my games tomorrow will be cancelled.

On the positive, i made my own LP avatar for the weekly loto

WTF session by phexac, September 12

Down 5 buyins. Every single hand, the opponent got there with 2-4 outs.

Once again, this is why trapping does not work:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=525046

One time, just don't let them get there:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=525048

PLZ don't get there? (Does anyone see a fold there somewhere?)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=525050

What if I said "plz" twice, will a station ever lose?
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=525053

I didn't lose much...but seriously...wtf
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=525056

There are also so many smaller hands where I put all money in good, either by betting or calling, but they hit their outs by river. And let's not forget AA vs AK hand... So annoying.

Of course, I also appreciate any comments you guys have on the hands here. If you think I misplayed something, I'd definitely want to know.

Looong and boring session by remember87, September 12

I just pulled off a 6 hour poker session at a friend. We were 3 players and nobody had any luck at the tables. I cant remember when I had such a boring session. I run into some coolers and actually outdrawed a person or two But except from that I didnt have anything to play with at all. People were playing pretty tight and nothing interesting happened! Guess it would have been more exciting to play minesweeper today

Well its soon off to bed. Tomorrow Im gonna play violin so I dont want to be too tired.
For those who miss the concert I´ll give you a taste of whats coming; Karl Jenkins - Palladio. Since the music is exactly as we play you are getting the LOTR theme as a bonus. Enjoy!

im the king of 6 max by Robinson47, September 12

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/7b11af8e3222025e80a57e0c48d88837.png

as you can see im boasting a bb/100 of 0.93.
I think i need some coaching, can any1 with a bb/100 of 5+ on 100nl 6 max pm if they are interested in coaching me and helping me fix my obvious leaks.
I would show my stats but i dont know how to transfer them from pokertracker onto here i did get a screenshot and tried to upload image through here but file was too big.

On a better note i have finally won 100 buy ins at 100nl hu,last 21k hands have been roughly break even
mostly 3/4 tabling:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/3deb3daa740be678fcac8b19162dd3f6.png

bit worried about the won without sd being on the decline, is that a big issue or is ok to have a won without sd breaking even?

also im 9k vpps from being supernova which should b achieved sometime in october.

Peace out and good luck to all the grinders out there.

Laptop for sellz by MumtazKhan, September 12

Ok so I bought this laptop a little over a month ago and then started a new job...low and behold my new job provided me a laptop that is on par with the one I bought. So now I have two laptops and only in need of one...so I thought maybe I'd try to sell if for quite a bit less than I bought it. I paid about 4100$ for it but am looking to let it go for about 3k and that would also cover shipping to where ever. I figured I'd try to sell it via LP and poker currency considering it saves hassle.

Here are the specs
Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 2.8GHz (Dual Core)
4GB DDR2
200gb 7200rpm SATA
2x nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX (512 MB each) in SLI
17" WUXGA TFT LCD
Built-in Logitech gaming LCD (a la G15 keyboard)
Back-lit spill-proof keyboard

and I'll post up some pics of it when I get home from work.

Getting mowed by NiTE, September 12

Fuck this game. I hate it. I hate it because it's so fucking hard to tell if you're playing wrong or if you're running bad. I admire all the downswingers who manage to play their game normally believing in themselves.

I admire all you guys who managed to get good by yourselves. I feel I need a need a coach coz I can't learn this way.

My last blog entry was about how bad the players at NL20 are. They still haven't convinced me they don't suck, all I know I'm on a 5BI downswing and I feel overwhelmed because a 5BI downswing after moving up feels like shit.

I'll post my hands from today on the forum and I won't play till my head is balanced again. FUUUUUUUUUUCK! FUCK FUCK FUCK! So frustrated.....

I want to really to know this game inside-out, I wanna see the ones and zeros all the time, I wanna be the Neo of Poker. I wanna learn the whys, becauses and if-thens of poker. I don't want to doubt my game, I want to be sure. If you know you play well, you wouldn't mind losing 90% of your BR coz you'd know you'll get it back thru discipline. I hate doubt.

can never win vs 2 outers by flounder44, September 11

ive played hundreds of thousands of hands and ive never felt so sick in poker before. Everytime i have a set in fullring on a dryboard like K84 J A rainbow board and i have 88 i know im fucked because he either hit the set of jacks on turn or set of aces on river, then the money goes in and he in fact has set of kings....

im up 60 for today despite horrendous beats... this happened not too long ago, i knew when it was all in that he owld suck out on me despite being a monster favorite.

Cautiously hopeful.. by Night2o1, September 11

First of all I want to thank everyone who offered and who has helped me out since my thread asking for coaching.

I have a couple of players who have railed me and given me great advice on hands as well!

A certain someone encouraged me to give a shot @ cash HU, which is something I've always been interested in. I think I can handle the play here.. especially with the conitnuing advice.

I finished my first HU session down 4 BI's, I was playing in prettyyyyy bad conditions (up all night, and this one guy tilted me sooo hard -3BI to him). This second session was a success with Python railing me for the first 3rd of it, and my going solo for the next 2 hours. EV of $288, but I ended up taking home $122.

I'm also going to play NL25 still, I suppose I will alternate depending on how I'm feeling..

I'm stuck $575 over my "poker career", but I hope not for long..

Good luck to everyone-- I hope mine continues!

New player, but I kind of suck (graph) by Elite00, September 11

Hey, I just started this to try and get better at poker since it's such a fun game. I'm relatively new at poker and only have like 2k hands played so far, but I was just wondering if I am getting off on the right foot. I put $15 on stars a week or so ago and have been playing .01/.02 NL fullring games. I feel like a I suck pretty bad at cash games,(well sit and go's too, but atleast I make money off of these!)and was looking for some advice on how to improve based on my pokertracker stuff:

http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/5/graph1lw2.th.jpg

http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/5449/pokerstats1we5.th.jpg

I have a basic/crude understanding of stats, and I think that having 21/13 means that I am not raising preflop as much as I should. However, I don't really have any idea what my graph should look like (except that it should be going up!), and whether or not you gleen any important information from it. For example, should my red line be above the others like mine is for most of the graph? Does this mean I am playing too loose/tight? What does it mean when the red line drops below the others? Does the sweeping up and down shape of my graph indicate bad play/bad luck/both? Is this common at my stakes?

Anyway, sorry for all of the questions, I have been reading as much as possible on this website and 2+2 poker (but I like this one more because it's like connected to TL.net - yeah I'm also a pretty avid starcraft player, converted to poker by ballin' ass stories about rekrul/elky/etc. But I also really enjoy playing poker and want start to learn it at a serious level)
