lol discipline by p4ge, September 24

Lol I busted my freeroll on cake poker. Got it up to 140 at 20nl but then I monkey spewed it all playing 50nl. I think part of the reason I was so impatient and ran the typical tilt trip, was cause holdem manager doesn't support cake hand histories, and I didn't want to look through that ugly interface that cake has to review my hands on there, so I thought win fast, or fail miserably. But the real reason was cause some guy kept outplaying me and I was angry that I was getting owned, maybe he was running well? That doesn't matter though, because the point is it got to me.
Here is the typical pattern that happens to me when I play: I win at a steady rate that I'm very pleased with, then a few things happen, and I ask the poker gods why I need to run bad like everyone else every so often too? And THEN I blow gold all over the place. Anyways, hello Stars, miss me?

P4GE, OUT

P.S Here's a snap shot I took of myself the other day.

AFK! by DustySwedeDude, September 24

I know I havn't been online/answered mails/PM/etc for a while and it's only because I have a cold from hell and a pretty mean fever. I missed my seminar today for the first time in more then 2 years so that says it all I think. Need to turn in some shit this Friday too so I need to get healthy asap. One of the greatest people I've ever had the honor to know will visit me in Uppsala this weekend too, and it'll be the first time I see him in over a year, so there's no way in hell I'm sick any longer then like lunchtime Friday.

"the Light will take care of us all. And if the Light doesn't, well, we'll just take care of ourselves". - Some dude in a Robert Jordan novel I happen to like.

the iphone is taking my time... by remember87, September 24

I havnt been playing poker for some days now. Everything started when I was going to upgrade my iphone from 1.0.2 to 2.1... I forgot to make a backup in Itunes so all my stuff and many of my contacts was erased! I also lost my precious list of people who owe me money (I think I remember them all but who knows...)
So, most of yesterday and today I have been playing with all the new programs and features that is available. New ringtones, new programs, new layout, genius and lots of other stuff thats fun to go through! Since poker was #3 on the to-do-list (Iphone - school) and I didnt even get to #2 the poker had to be suffered.

If any of you have an Iphone I´d be glad to recommend some of my favourite programs. Also feel free to recommend some of your own!
For a closer I just have to say: I love my Iphone!

200nl shot and stuff by shaw67193, September 23

third time, my previous attempts went break-even or so after maybe 3k hands, although i did run pretty poorly. this time went a bit better, but i did make a mistake stacking off with qq vs a nit preflop.
http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/8595/200nlshotcn7.png

so yeah, 1k day. these are much easier at 200nl than 100nl.

here's 100 and 200 6max for the month so far:
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/2153/sept6meu8.png

i didn't show ev, but suffice it to say i'm more than a handful of bi above expectation AND IT FEELS GOOD MAN.
hu has been pretty swingy because i haven't been table selecting at all, sometimes even seeking out regs to multitable and work on my game. i think i'm down a bi or two, so i'm gonna go back to owning the fish and end in the month in the green. problem is i'm killing 6max lately and i just don't have the motivation to put in hu sessions that often. anyway, this should end up being my best month ever. not too bad considering i finished my stake with KrappyKonnect in mid-august.

in other news, i turned 22 yesterday. had a pretty good weekend and i think i'm going to ac with a bunch of friends this weekend because it was my housemate's 21st a few days ago. should be fun, i don't plan on playing much poker there tbh because i find live kinda boring but i will get max value out of free drinks somehow.

in long overdue news, me and the gf of 3+ years broke up about six weeks ago. i still have mixed feelings and she has doubts as well, but for the time being it's staying this way. which is good, because i've been talking to this damn cute girl from two of my classes and its looking like ez game for lots of sex.

next update @ 10k roll or once i put it in her pooper.

gl all

Goal by fenner, September 23

Started playing full ring, dont find it anywhere near as exciting as 6max, I think im winning at fullring but a tiny sample - putting in volume is usually not a problem for me so my goal for this week is to get atleast 20k hands in so i can have a decent sample size to look at. If im winning ill move back to 6max.

weeeeee by sooon2b, September 23

Well, as I stated in my last blog post, I cashed out my roll due to school financial needs, resulting in me being online busto. Shortly after my semi-serious staking request, I was contacted by Bluffed1331 who was kind enough to stake me. So, I am no longer busto online, and hopefully will get myself back on my feet, as well as give Corwyn a nice return on his investment. Again, thanks a lot bud, I really appreciate it.

As for other things, life's been pretty meh. School is going very well, and I am really hoping to pull a 4.0 this semester and get on full scholarship here. Ive also been extremely busy with the fraternity. As Director of Academic Affairs, I am in charge of making sure everyone is making grades by running study table sessions, constant individual meetings with brothers concerning their academic progress, and meetings with our university advisers. Its very time consuming and extremely stressful.

I mentioned a few blog posts ago about a new girl. So far things are actually pretty good. I suppose our relationship would be any man's dream. She insists on paying for things for me(food and such, nothing major), and wants to have sex more than I can even handle(not to mention her being kinky as hell, she insists on a 3-some with the friend in the picture im posting). Shes completely drama free, very laid back, fun, and reminds me a ton of my ex-girlfriend(the girl I thought I was going to marry for the longest time.) I am not entirely sure where things are going, but its not complicated at all which I like. I didn't really want a girlfriend for some time, but now I am not so sure... Here's a pic

Poker lesson learned by Fox, September 23

For you microstake players NL100 and lower... So i've been doing better and better with poker as time goes on. It's been a learning experience and in the end what really helped me are these things.

Playing a shitton of hands, then going back and looking any hand that i was dealt a premium hand, any hand that i 3 bet, any hand that i called a 3 bet, and any hand that i won or lost 30+ bb. Go through the motions find the ones that i might have done wrong and either fix it or find someone who's better then me fix it.

Tilt Control and Bankroll management. I remember posting in a thread about high stakes.. we are talking NL5000+ and i remember Myth saying that the top top players are usually better then everyone else because they have supreme tilt control and bankroll management. Obviously skill is important but at high levels being able to control yourself and manage your swings HAS to be important. I mean at top levels everyone you're playing is very skilled and what can seperate you is how often they make stupid mistakes from tilt vs how often you make them. Being able to drop down when you're on a bad streak. etc. Yeah i only play NL100-200 but this really helped me a lot in controlling my play and when i take shots at higher limits.

So in conclusion you have to focus hard, don't get out of control and just try to learn poker. Yeah it's money but watching videos and looking at other peopel's hand history isn't enough. It's about learning on your own and you do that from playing lots of hands and analyzing your OWN play. I mean I used to have the hardest time dealing with 3 betting agressive players at NL100-200 and now i know exactly how to approach them and how to crush them. Tons of good players from this site would explain it to me but it never really CLICKED until i understood what type of boards to shove on, what my equity was vs his range... it just went from "WTF DO I DO HERE" to "I KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO APPROACH THIS!" and i learned this just from trying new things when I was on the tables.

GL to everyone and may you win tons of money on the tables... just not from me!

NL25 - /wrists by edzwoo, September 23

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/92e8a01068615f755e709025d2868fa4.jpg

That's what happened to me yesterday. So much for NL25.

If you double barrel a fish and he calls, and then he donk shoves the river, which one does it mean more often? That they're desperate, or they caught something/had the nuts? The latter happened to me a lot.

Warning, whining up ahead.
