So I finally managed to get a blog going. Nice. Im going to use it to talk about poker and just other things in general kind of like a journal. You guys can say what you want about it but really I dont care man you can do what you want, but your wasting your time really.
Im a low stakes player right now trying to build a roll. I play mostly LHE and reallywant to get good at it but Im missing some key things that I plan on purchasing soon. Main Poker tracker but I heard Hold Em manager is pretty tight too so I can give it a try and see how I like it. Poker Tracker is pretty solid so its going to be hard to beat.
Outside of poker I just watched the rest of season 5 of entourage. So hilarious I fucking love that show man lol. I cant believe they all did shrooms, this show just keeps getting better and bette. I doubt Vince will do that stupid dog movie and he will probably end up striking it big somewhere soon, probably with the warner brothers guy. Maybe he will fuck that agent again lol. Cant wait to see the rest of the season because its going to be SICK!
Im watching the Ultimate fighter right now before I go to bed. These two plugs got wasted and just asked like morons. Ok so onto poker. I was playing on FTP but the games are pretty shitty there lately and I think ever since they gave out the free cardrunners through points they have gotten even harder. Im thinking about trying out UB because I have rakeback on there which is sick and you can also use pokertracker as well. +1 for UB. Im kind of skeptical about it thought because of the scandal and shit. That kinda ttrips me out and makes me think that maybe it is actually rigged... who knows tho I guess I can go back to PStars if but I seem to run terrible there man fuck. Where else is good? If you actually read this let me know where you play and why?
Anyways today as I said I took my money off FTP. I had a couple of nice hands but for some reason I can seem to find my hand history so Ill just give you the just of it. I caught a queen high flush on a guy off the flop and he led out on the river and I shoved, he folded for about $30. Other big hand was the classic AA vs KK and I happened to have AA this time and it held up. I was playing NLHE for no reason at all and ran pretty good which was nice but I gotta stick to LHE and Im going to. Sometime soon I will be making the call on what site Im going to play on and then get the money there and mess some fishies up and win some dought. Chea!
Since ultimate fighter airs on Spike they have been showing ads for all these new video games. There are TONS coming out right now that I want to buy / give a try. I just got NHL 09 and love it. Be a pro is a lot of fun man. Cant wait to get XBox live going and start the league up with my buddies. If anyone wants a game with the champ let me know and Ill show you how to play. My XBOX Live ID is md1ce. Fifa 09 is coming out next week and its solid too. Sick graphics and the ball moves real life like aswell. Im a big fam of the Fifa games and cant wait to own it. Call of Duty 5 is coming out soon too. 4 was awesome so I cant wait to see what they do in 5. Gotta get this one for sure. Gears of WAr 2 is coming out also. Never really played 1 but since I got Live I think I might give it a try. All my buddies say its sick and I mean it looks sick but I just never really played it. Anyways cant wait to give em a try.

9-23-08 - deposited 100 into my account (had 10 in there already), won $30 last night after two hours of 12 tabling. looking to move up to NL10 by the very latest of next wednesday
9-28-08 - moved up to NL10 today, and won 7.5 BIs. got to 245 almost instantly (like 30 minutes) and got to 270 after about an hour of grinding. two All in hands i lost tonight - JJ v KK on low flop and 88 v Axhh on 8xx, 2 heart flop, which i raised after the flush completed (fml!). only played like 45 minutes and up like $7 so whatever. current br is $277. current goal - $500 by mid october, move up to nl25 by the very latest end of 2nd week next month.
9-29-08 - swingy day, started on a heater and from then on it was all bad. KK v AA a couple times, AA cracked both times i got action from it, rivered in countless dominating 85/15 positions, it was just horrible. at about $262, peak was about $330 today but lolswongs
10-4-08 well, i guess setting goals are good because you just want to complete it before the deadline. i said mid october, but i hit $500 today. started the day with $365, won like 3 buy ins at 6max nl10 and 2 and a half at nit ring (one big loss, KK v JJ all in preflop). i also played in the $2 turbo, got like 215th or something for a $6 profit, so i made about $60 this morning after maybe 2 1/2 hours of playing. started up again about an hour ago, and decided to take a shot at nl25 6max, planning to quit if i got stacked. 4 tabling, i won 3 BIs in about 130 hands. AA v KK, AQ v Ax9s on AQx spade board, and another one where a tilted guy shoved AK into my 99 on a 238 board. so yeah. next goal - $1000 and NL50 by the end of the month.
10-7-08 - i might've made the biggest mistake ever. i cashed out $590, leaving me 70 cents so i can move over to FTP and take advantage of rakeback and the 100% bonus. well after played like 500 hands on FTP i'm down a good 3 BIs. I don't think i was ready to move up to 6max nl25 since I only played 4k hands on nl10.
i have $525 on FTP and since I'm playing some stupid limit game on stars, i've brought that 70 cents to $4. i'm really discouraged to play on FTP for some reason...we'll see how things go from here.
and here i am now. i've had a ton of trouble ever since i moved up to nl25 6max and so i'm moving down back to nl10 6max for some training. i only played like 4k hands at nl10 before i moved up (i have around 7-8k at fullring nl10). hopefully i'll be able to get help here. i also made an account on 2+2.
from the $600 i deposited on FTP, i have $450 now. hoping to build it back up to $600 before i move back up to nl25 - my goal for this month is still the same.

opening up my fr game to 17/13 from 11/8 lol. getting the right non-showdown pots % now and trying to experiment and be less spewy with my cbet sizes in some spots, fixing leaks at 25nl and 50nl and trying to open up more before going back to 100nl and 200nl, going back once i get my mojo back with these changes at around 3 days more or around 10khands more.
As some might remember (not many tho, my read high score was 44 ^^) I used to have a blog nearly a year ago. At that time I used to play sng but quit last sprint and cashed out nearly everything to focus on final exams. I started out seriously again this summer, this time heading for cash games because as fun as sngs are the action is often quite dead and even most fish have some sort of a clue. But if action someday gets better Ill be at party 12 tabling 60s all day long. Anyways on first week of playing I went up 800 eur at nl50 and after that I started losing. And kept losing untill I was back at where I started, 250 eur. Then I started to grind again and was 800 when I spewed a little again, this time to 200. Then I set myself ultimatuum: if I wont make up to 1000e by the end of the month I'll just quit using my time on poker because if I would not make a penny out of it I could find more relaxing hobbys for myself. I couldn't make myself to play nl25, which was quite bad but worked out. Long story short, 5 weeks later I have won 4400 eur and am playing nl200. The way I ran for some days was just unreal: no beats and when I got coolered I would hit my with < 20% equity. Players at pacificpoker were also happy to contribute to my bankroll, which was very kind of them. I think that from now on whenever there are'nt good parties in sight Iam definately going to pull 12 hours sessions friday and saturday nights, action is so unreal.
Iam also very happy with the way I have improved my play. Lately I haven't been really spewing - which always was my achilleus heel - and I feel I play much more solidly now. After I watched some educational videos at pokernews I've also cut monkey aggression a little and open tighter and 3bet light less often. Anyways I still need to improve my play, especialy emotional control and too loose calls with medicore hands. I think I'll try to find a coach at one point or another too.
My goal for the rest of year is to play 50k hands at nl200 and keep win rate of 10 blinds / 100. I don't really know if 10 big blinds / 100 is realistic goal for me but I dont mind so much about winrate now if I just do beat it. I'm also planning on starting to play PLO a little, I've heard action is way better but first I gotta find a site for it, maybe unibet. If everything goes nicely Iam able to play poker fulltime for some 3 months after christmas before starting to study for admission test to economic and social history (I currently study computer science but I think its not my thing after all), but if everything does'nt go fine its not so bad either
Only thing I'm not pleased with now is that HEM is missing out half of my winnigs and therefore my ultimate epic graph is only remotely nice, I don't even bother posting tt.
I've been reserved about saying this till after the 2nd debate, but now that it's over and McCain far from won (I'd say he was better than debate #1 but barely above break even), I think Obama has a very solid shot of winning this thing and that he could do it with a landslide.

After a 13K breakeven stretch, I was forced to take a break from poker because of work commitments. After more than a month, I returned on Saturday and won around 550bb in 2.5 hours, running at about 40ptbb/100. That takes my bankroll past 1,000 and I'm going to start taking shots at NL50.
Excited by the prospect, I broke my rule of only playing if I had 2 or more hours to spare (I feel it's a waste of time and money to get to know all the players and then have to leave before you can exploit them) and played for an hour or so. Had a ton of suckouts, but overall the standard of play seemed the same as NL25, so hopefully this weekend I'll have the time to devote half a day or so to really getting into NL50.
