Instead of actually staying out my ban, I'm working with a $100 br on stars and gonna rebuild it. I'm going to cash out my cake and previous stars roll which is about $1400.
I'm buying in at NL5 for 100 bb until I make $200, then I'll buy-in for 200 bb.
After I hit $300 playing NL5 deepstacked I'll move to NL10.
$500 - NL25
$1000 - NL50
Haven't made it to NL50 yet, but winning against all the micro donks is boosting my confidence again. Stars doesn't have rb, so I won't have any neat bonuses like at Cake. I do however get to use HEM which I have a 13 day trial remaining.
I think being able to have HEM while on Stars may counteract my 33% rb on Cake, although it'd be nice to have both. Stats sure help me at the table, and graphs are neat for looking at afterwards and tracking my progress.
edit: I realized I am probably addicted even though it's microstakes since after a one week ban I just run to another site and deposit $100.
I'm getting a lot better, been trying to play and study almost every day since about August. I think I could be a winning player if I could just utilize more self control, and perhaps pay more attention while I'm playing. I catch myself not paying enough attention a lot.
PT3 has me at 26/13 the past 10k hands. A vast improvement from where I started. It's showing as well. I am winning much more consistently, and losing less when I lose. I feel like I could easily be a winning player if my patience and self control could improve. This is mostly due to a pretty slow/boring/bad session, It starts with mild impatience and frustration and ends with a big 0 under my name. This is especially true when I get it in against what I feel is a weak player with a marginal hand.

Both are ridiculous bad tilt on my part and just plain stupid. If I could just avoid having my 1-2 sessions a week like this. I feel I could easily become a winning player. I need to just find a way to avoid/combat the frustration. Perhaps this is something that is just learned after you lose this way enough. Either way it is certainly the biggest leak in my game. Any tips for dealing with this sort of irrational behavior?
Before last night these looked much better. Last night my stupidity decided I need NL25 and NL50 in the negative. + Show Spoiler +
Before last month I was almost exclusively a 6max/HU player but I was having a bad run, worse than my usual suck. So i switched to FR and am enjoying it far more, and was almost all in the green until I decided that I don't like winning. lol. In FR though I think I could do much better than I am, and I am certainly dedicated and determined. I just need to relax.
Now that the smokes gone
And the air is all clear
Those who were right there
Got a new kind of fear
Youd fight and you were right
But they were just to strong
Theyd stick it in your face
And let you smell what they consider wrong
Thats why I say hey man shot
Grinded NL50 to a working 3k bankroll, no bonuses, no rakeback...pure sweat blood and tears. Stay tuned~ ~ ~ ~ ~

im running -13.95ptbb/100 -$214.78/h for the month of november. i want to die, ive had no results at poker for over 100k hands and i should probably quit this game.
oh yeah, and because i lose so much in the first 200 hands of every session, im only averaging like 700 hands a day, and so ive made like 800 vpp this month.
I've started to really get into poker, i've played it on and off for a few years but now i'm really going to try get something out of it.
I'm not entirely sure of the best way to improve, i've watched videos on the flopturnriver site, got some poker programs like poker tracker and i've started reading some books on poker, about to start on Doyle's Super System.
I mainly play the $1 SNGs on FTP and i'm doing better and better at them. I prefer SNG to ring at these low levels because there are just too many maniacs plaguing the low ring games.
Not entirely sure of the point to the blog, is what i'm doing effective? Should i play a set amount of SNGs or stop when i hit a certain amount of winnings, or just keep playing til whenever?
Are there any other good poker sites that host videos that are hopefully for free?
So I'm studying for an exam that I have tomorrow morning on the subject 'Business Computing' and come across this in one of the slides:
(The context is on ethics in information technology)
Ten Commandments
• Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people;
• Thou shalt not interfere with other people’s computer work;
• Thou shalt not snoop around in other people’s files;
• Thou shalt not use a computer to steal;
• Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness;
• Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid;
• Thou shalt not use other people’s computer resources without
authorisation;
• Thou shalt not appropriate other people’s intellectual output;
• Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you
write;
• Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and
respect.
Don't get me wrong, I know the course I'm doing is overall nonsense but I'll be damned if I'm going to actually learn the above bullshit...
Not to mention I've actually broken a couple of those commandments:
Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people: Right, I'm sure I've made a fair amount of people unhappy through poker and I rejoice every occasion that I do
Thou shalt not snoop around in other people’s files: Definitely done this before, if only as an immature joke
Thou shalt not use a computer to steal: They were only blinds
Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness: Blaming poker once again, don't hate the player; hate the game.
Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid: I've so far only ever paid money for XP and Starcraft
Thou shalt not appropriate other people’s intellectual output: Guilty I don't think I've ever really written anything for school that has NOT been other people's intellectual output...
Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect: I'll let you in on a secret called the 'internet'...
Anyway I'd be interested to hear which one's of these '10 Commandments' people have broken, if you say none you're lying.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/560883 - a 17/7/5 200 hands suddenly raises pot on turn and it raises no suspition in me, no no i want to go AI omg donkbetting this flop was an option but w/ his aggresion and 67% - cbeting i though i like c/r
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/560895 - 61/9/2.5 160 hands, should i just call his flop c/r? not sure if he plays something else than 99/88/55/67 this way
To cashout half your roll for a good internet connection + cardrunners sub? I can't really watch any vids/get sweat because of my bandwidth cap (4gb/mo)i have about $2k and it would cost about $1k for decent connection and CR. I rewatch myths 6max vid all the time its fucking awesome, thought i should add this.
Anyone have any tips to see if I am like, giving up on the river or something too frequently? You can see I almost never made it to showdown for like 600 hands there..
fml wall of text (vent anger)by vlseph, November 03
I'm getting the short end of so many 70/30 situations where you know, I'm a favorite.
It's like when I hit top set on the driest board and I shove it in I know I'm the favorite but I'm just doomed with some terrible luck or something right now.
Memorable beats of the day: Set vs Top Two Pair all in on turn hits higher boat on river, KK vs AK, JJ vs A9, and so many disgusting ones it's so sick.
Just got my rakeback from Oct like $80~ and I blew it all on one session it's so sick I wish I had an EV graph to make me feel better, but all I can do is squeeze my little stress ball and run the soothing (or rage inducing) +++++++EV numbers in Pokerstove.
Coming from a break even month in Oct (including all the bonus I cleared) and coming into the first few days of November I won a handful of BI despite stupid coolers and bad beats, but I just can't take it anymore. I think my mind can only handle so much so fuck you cake poker.
Just initiated a one week ban for myself my BR sits at like around $700 give or take a couple dollars and I got it to $800 grinding at school and in the afternoon (it only got to $800 cause I got my RB paid, I just grinded break even).
I really don't think I'm playing bad at all, or any worse than I usually play or any super big leak in my game that came in since Oct started. I'm getting the money in while it's good and I know that's all I should be worried about, but when you get it in good for like a whole month and you see your winnings stagnate it just fucking sucks.
