So I'm studying for an exam that I have tomorrow morning on the subject 'Business Computing' and come across this in one of the slides:
(The context is on ethics in information technology)
Ten Commandments
• Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people;
• Thou shalt not interfere with other people’s computer work;
• Thou shalt not snoop around in other people’s files;
• Thou shalt not use a computer to steal;
• Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness;
• Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid;
• Thou shalt not use other people’s computer resources without
authorisation;
• Thou shalt not appropriate other people’s intellectual output;
• Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you
write;
• Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and
respect.
Don't get me wrong, I know the course I'm doing is overall nonsense but I'll be damned if I'm going to actually learn the above bullshit...
Not to mention I've actually broken a couple of those commandments:
Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people: Right, I'm sure I've made a fair amount of people unhappy through poker and I rejoice every occasion that I do 
Thou shalt not snoop around in other people’s files: Definitely done this before, if only as an immature joke
Thou shalt not use a computer to steal: They were only blinds 
Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness: Blaming poker once again, don't hate the player; hate the game.
Thou shalt not use or copy software for which you have not paid: I've so far only ever paid money for XP and Starcraft
Thou shalt not appropriate other people’s intellectual output: Guilty I don't think I've ever really written anything for school that has NOT been other people's intellectual output...
Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect: I'll let you in on a secret called the 'internet'...
Anyway I'd be interested to hear which one's of these '10 Commandments' people have broken, if you say none you're lying.

Whats really sickening is someone actually got paid to produce this absolute ass of material for the curriculum.
I'm sure at the end of it all he thought he did a favor to society. Anyways, GL!
