Today was going really well up a few buyins and I took a break for dinner. Logged back on and the session started out so super kk vs aa top 2 into bottom gutter ball sweet stuff. Recovered and then I just missed every single hand and got coolered where I then proceeded to go into nerd rage and spew a buyin. Thankfully I just right click closed stars just to get off the tables and call it a night. Still ended up a little more then a buyin tonight but it's really frustrating knowing today could have been a sick day if I just ran even. Oh well a winning day is still a good day.
Hey guys, I'm leaving for Dublin tommorrow night, and we got a EuroRail pass between Belgium / Holland , Ireland, and Germany. Anyone have any awesome places I should go visit?
#1 Cake is fucking annoying they are ridiculous about their cashout policy.
They want all sorts of information about me and my physical address on my ID isn't my mailing address because i have a PO Box and they wont let me send it to the PO box because it doesn't match my ID... whatever. I'm moving to UB to clear their 111% deposit bonus up to 1100 or something + rakeback asaply cause bonus whoring = hot.
br = 3300 and it would be a lot more if i didnt waste so much fcking money in tournaments, i'm gonna try to not play in anymore tournaments until scoop but i doubt that happens.
Hopefully I can clear the UB bonus before SCOOP and then stars runs a deposit bonus for it. My license get's revoked on the 6th for a month because I got a DWI a while back (i run so bad, i wasn't even drunk wtfever) so I should have nothing to do for an entire month and im already playing 3k+ hands a day anyway so hopefully i have a fat roll by the time scoop comes around and it wont hurt so bad when I drop 1k in mtts and not cash in any of them. I'm planning on playing in almost every single low event and if my br is big enough some of the smaller buyin middle ones but we'll have to see what my roll looks like around then.
I might even sell action on some of them but everyone @ lp hates me, so i doubt it.
ps, if you're cool add me to msn/aim because im nearly out of poker friends from LP, we can sweat each other @ nl100/talk/whatever

I'm going to Italy for a semester. I still plan on playing online and would like to know what soft of difficulties people have had with playing in Italy, if any. Also do you know of any casinos near Florence?
So to let anyone who is going to be in vegas from the 8th through the 15th and might want to meet/chill/what not, I'mma be there. Get in touch and let me know in a comment. I'm going to be staying in a timeshare near the strip (afaik, if it isn't as close as I'd like I might just get a room)
It's a cycle. This show goes from totally awesome to painfully stupid and in the last few seasons it seems to hit each extreme several times. This season started off pretty well, dipped a bit, got better, and then crashed. I just caught up with the last 2 episodes and god damn they were painful. Stupid as hell. They were completely unrealistic and moronic. From little things like a guy dying in 2 seconds from a knife to the back, to big things like the white house being taken over by terrorists. When 24 is good they do crazy shit but explain it well. This time they have guys take over the white house and all along the way it's impossible to stop thinking about all the simple things that people could do to stop the situation from developing. At no point do they offer any solid explanation for how these fuckers are pulling it off. Good stories put forth something that you think is impossible and explain how it is possible in a way that makes sense. Right now 24 is just saying "yeah it's impossible and we dunno how to explain it so just suspend your logic and common sense and watch it!"
futbal, soccer, football, etc. This video pretty much sums it up. Quite moving imo, or maybe I am just an emo bitch.
In other news, I am writing an informative speech on Gaelic Football for a required communications elective. I originally planned on writing about poker, then quickly realized I was completely out of my mind for thinking that in the first place. For those of you who don't know what Gaelic Football is, here are some videos (I am currently in the works of trying to set up our teams website.
First off, how to play the game. Here are 3 videos that explain how the game is played:
Some issues with the above videos
Gaelic football is all about what you can get away with. The only level of the sport where physical contact is the least are at the very highest levels of play due to skills. I play for a Junior A team here in the US and the games are far more aggressive/physical. As long as it looks like you are going for the ball, your chances of getting called are slim, within reason of course. All in all its a great sport. Here's some cool videos to peep
This is Ireland vs Australia - Australia's AFL is quite similar to Ireland's Gaelic football as it was based off the GAA. Fwiw, the games are generally not this aggressive. However we have had quite a few games similar to this on account of our team completely dominating the Junior B level(resulting in quite a few national championships), and since moving up to Junior A, we have held our own pretty well. We actually had a game called off once vs our Pittsburgh, PA rival due to repeated bench clearing brawls and the injuries that occurred on account of them. Anyways, enjoy
Gotta rep County Maigh Eo (aka Mayo)- Mayo v. Dublin
Mayo v. Kerry - We lost but it was a good game nonetheless
Ok, enough of that, I am off to the store to pick up some healthy foods. Going to quit smoking within a week thanks to a free program offered by the school. The cool thing about it is that nearly my entire fraternity is going to being trying to kick the habit. We are also taking part in some fitness programs together. Weight loss programs for those horizontally challenged brothers, and getting in better shape and stronger for those who are not chubby [like myself]. It will be great having all of this support as it should keep us all fairly motivated. I cant wait until I start eating better, and feeling stronger and healthier. I am undecided as to whether or not I will take the Cleveland Fire Department Test coming up this summer. I definitely need to work on these things if I want to stand a chance on the physical portion of the test.
That's all for now, peace out girl scouts, keep on l.t.d.
P.S. If you haven't peeped my last blog, at least check out my broseph JoeyPs video I posted, or his music on this website. Dudes legit
Ive been crushing lately but things have slowed down for me today. Im not playing bad but Im having to make a lot of big folds which is tough and very irritating. It gets to the point where I feel like Im getting pushed around but Im running into big hands a lot today. Its hard to get some momentum going when this is happening but hey thats variance right?
Take those hands away and Im in the + for the day but its alright. Im for sure not done for the day though. Im going to just take a little break to get my mind straight. Probably make some dinner then watch a movie or something. Hopefully I can get back in the + later tonight.
As some of you know I dont visit this site anymore and I have a blog some other place and this is a copy of my last post there:
Obama and his dumb economic plan is going to be a huge disaster for economy of not only us but the whole world.
The first reason we got into this situation is because of people spending and LIVING on borrowed money. The way bank system works is that basically for every dollar you put into the bank goes out and loans $5. And everyone in US go out and buy on these borrowed money and this drives the price up.
Even though this system might work for a couple of years but as prices go up and people can not afford anymore and cant get loan everything goes down the toilet. And we are there now. The prices want to go down now since no one can afford anything anymore. Banks dont loan out cause they know you cant afford anything.
And what Obama is going to do is to basically print more money. And cut interest rate! So basically he is trying to encourage people to go borrow and spend! He is encouraging the same exact behaviour that got us into this mess!
And if all that is not enough for you on the remote chance that his plan fails on job creation side for the average people. Most of us going to have HUGE inflationary prices on TOP of the debt we can not afford to pay back!
I always said before the election that when Obama gets into office its going to be just another clown like the rest. But his take on the economy (which is the most important issue now) is BEYOND stupid.
I am no veteran on the issue but I read ALOT about this recently and there are thousands who agree with me. The arguments on the other side is just soooo beyond reality stupid and Fayth based that has zero credibility.
Dont get me wrong I really respect the man and I love what he is doing on every other issue but his stand on economy is going to be the cause of his massive failure.
All I can say is that everyone should just sit and pray that me and thousand of others who thinks the same as me are wrong. But also note how all the markets go down as soon as these packages and plans for spending pass.
I didn't play a lot of hands in February, mostly because I had an epileptic seizure (my second) early in the month and I wasn't really up to doing a lot of thinking for most of the month.
Last month ended with me taking a shot at NL100, hitting a horrible downswing, being too stupid to move down and going from 2.3k to 700 in 3 days.
I decideded to switch to HU for a bit because I was getting bored with 6-max, here are my results for the month:
I'm running at 20bb/100, so I guess I should be happy, especially since these are my first 9k hands of HU that I've played, but being almost 10 buyins below EV in under 10k hands is kind of meh.
I'll try to play more this month, but I don't want to have to force myself to play. This is a hobby for me, not a job. I really like this game, but it's hard to enjoy poker when you're not winning, so how much I play will probably depend on whether I hit a downswing or not.
- play another 5k lag on NL20 hands and reevaluate
because I am trying to play some good lag style like 30/27 instead of being a nit and I ran quite well first 2k hands. I feel that I am really crushing some guys here and because I have 1400usd already in my account, I am thinking about taking a shot on NL50 because players will be the same here, but rake is lower and monies better. So my question is - should I stick to my plan at any costs and keep playing NL20 for next two days, or planing is for newbies and I should try to crush NL50 ? :D
Hey guys I have had a lot of coaching requests lately and I am glad to hear such positive feedback. However I am back playing more myself and do not have as much time as I did in Nov-Dec. That being said I would still possibly take on some more but for those interested I just wanted to state a few things and figured be easier on here then type multiple times.
For the coaching package it is fairly extensive and demanding of both you and I. DO not ask about this unless you can focus on poker 100% for 5 weeks with 2 lessons a week and daily access to me over msn/AIM discussing hands and theory. It's basically a 5 week training camp to get you the maximum benefits I can give you in that time to make you a better player so don't ask me about this unless u can fully commit for this time period or else you will not achieve maximum benefits and better off getting individual lessons.
Individual lessons I do fairly cheap comparatively due to personal reasons I won't discuss on here because I know some others do a lot of them. But you can PM me about rates if you are interested and basically the lowest I will do is $100 for low limits (under 200nl) and I don't care if u split with others and do a group session. And no individual one hour lesson will be over $200. Individual lessons are spread out, and do not entail as much off table talk (you are still free to contact me about HHs, theory, etc to a certain extent of course if you are a regular lesson getter)
Basic rates are:
100nl and under = $100/hour
200nl = $150/hr
400nl+ = $200/hr
again if u have friends, etc and want to set upa group lesson to split costs that is np same rate
I currently have 3 full time profit sharing students and I think if you asked those guys they would say that I am VERY hands on and easily accessible. The goal is to make you as good as I can for as long as I can to make us both a lot of money so I teach a gradual learning style prepared for the long run and offer very fair rates for what I contribute. I might possibly take on one more but for those interested you can email me at hartt80@hotmail.com the following:

the fish was too temptingby Seobombisgay, March 03
So I played this fish at 400nl hu and made 2 bi off of him. Like 8 hours later, I see him sitting at the 1knl table. I couldnt let this opportunity go. Well heres the final result.
Another early exit in a Live tourney. I really went out so stupidly, I was kicking myself. Anyway heres the round up;
So starts off, and my table is absolutley crazy loose. 5-7 way flops. So i sit tight, and play pretty tight. Pick up some pairs, and raise pre flop, and yea flops still manage to have 3-4 players in it. So I get the idea, that this is a BIG trapping table. No sense betting on flop, as there was ALWAYS someone betting on it. Particularly this one guy. Wow this guy was on some heater. Pretty much every hand he was in, and every hand he was showing, hitting every flop. meanwhile my 72o cards were keeping me out of trouble lol.
To my right, I seem to have a pretty decent regular. Stating that he had won the tournament last night. To my left, was a pretty solid player too. He was playing pretty tight, after stacking off someone early on with a straight flush.
I raise 4xbb preflop with AQo on button, and of course get 2 callers. Miss the flop, it was K53 or something. It checks round to me, and I cbet. One folds, and the guy to my right, pretty much insta shoves (who was getting quite low). I fold, even though I was cert he had air here. This bits crucial as to what happens later.
I make it to first break, and everyone uses any remaining add-ons (it was 2 rebuy/addon max). Just below average stack. Pick up KK and win that pot on the flop, which earned me some chips. I decide to loosen up a little, and pick up A9o UTG. Raise 3.5xbb, everyone folds round to the BB, who calls. Flop comes 4 7 5 rainbow. I cbet 1/2 pot, and he calls. Turn comes 9, and i fire out another 50% pot, and the guy INSTA shoves all in (pot is around 10k now, and he shoves around 12k in). The really fast all in just screams bullshit. So I ask him, "got 2 pair?" and he sorta looks confused and says "maybe". I then say, "you wanna check your cards to make sure?" and he looks utterly confused, saying "nah I know what I got". Anyway, I just get soul read and call his all in. And then he totally flips, "omfg how the fuck u call that? omg jessus". And he shows 62o rofl. He misses his str8 draw on river, and i pick up a big pot.
Now I get respect from players, and decide to keep up the pressure. Few hands later, I pick up A9 on the button. I raise 3xbb and big blind calls. Flop comes A T J (2 clubs, I have no clubs). Big blind checks. So whats my line here? I raise 3k (blinds are 500/1k atm). He counts out some chips and min raises to 6k. And this is where i totally loose it. What was I thinking. I re-raise to 15k (leaving me like 5k left). Just what the fuck was I doing? I though he was trying to push me out here. I should have flat called. But anyway, he then says "ah what the hell, im all in". Im thinking, FUCK? For some no brainer reason I think hes on a flush draw or he has JK/JQ. AFter putting so much into pot, and leaving me like 5 bbs, i stupidly call. He shows AT, and im truely fucked. The turn comes 9, and river is a miss. Now the interesting thing is, if i did flat call there, and the 9 shows on that turn, what am I doing now? I prob would have ended up putting alot of chips in and loosing anyway.
So what are your thoughts on how to play this flop in my position?
Well this annoyed me, as I had been playing well, and just stupidly dont think and rush the decision. Gonna stick to online for a month, and head back there in April.
I don't think I played all that bad, -5 bi session, I'm told it's standard, but I think I'm down over about 30k hands @ NL25. Granted, I've been fixing leaks along the way, but I'm not sure where I stand. I'm definitely running bad, or so all-in EV tells me, but my all-in ev is roughly even.
I didn't run bad in terms of getting it in good and getting sucked out, but I believe there were lots of unavoidable situations. Most of my losses today were in 3bet pots, and some plays were complete spew. I still feel like I'm a winner here, but maybe that's just me being naive.
To be fair, I think I started drastically improving my game at around 5k hands, and putting a lot more effort into the game.
The most misplayed street for the session today was turn. I'm not sure if I was being floated, but I found myself barreling a Qxx flop with AK and giving up after the flop cbet (oop). I'm not sure if this is good at all (in fact I'm quite sure it's bad), am I supposed to c/f here? Or c/rai turn? I'm just so confused in 3bet pots that I find myself hoping people fold to my 3bet when I'm oop. Fuck.
Another small thing about 3bet pots, what about something like QQ on Kxx? Am I bet/folding and then check/folding? I'm really not sure about 3bet pots, and those pots happen to be the worst pots to make mistakes in.
I have fixed some my leaks what i used to have. I opted little difrent play then i used on 4nl. I used to be kinda sewpy with suited ace rag, Suited KT KJ type of hands then i am on blind and somone raises. Calling is so weak .. I hate to call raise. I only like to raise. I raising range is pretty big Any 2 T+ cards cutoff+, any pair almost any position, unless there are shortstacks who are ready to push seeing any raise. I opt to fold TJ KT JQ type of hands utg, unless table is very weak. I still feel i get sometimes little tilted then some bad player making constanly bad bluffs with bet pot button and i call allin on turn and they suck out on me twice in row that way. They just think i am weak he sure folds i bet pot. No i have made real hard calls so far i have been almost 100% right then i have made them.
Rake is kinda killer on 10nl comon 2 days and it shows 140$ rake ..40$ rakeback to me? Jeez. I feel euro tables are real -ev. I think they got same max 3 rake cap but 3euro>3usd.
I am running kinda bad ..kinda even last 5-6 session. Most always then i get money in good flush vs set, set vs flushdraw, straight vs set i get sucked out + coolers. Hope i get heater soon. Really wanna get to next level
Also best way to get ppl money with kk, AA on flop is like think some long on flop and then bet pot. They always go for it ..yeah that dude doesnt have anything hes trying to steal pot ..lets go allin with 33 and i snap
