This is sick. Like a month ago or something you wrote something about moving down to 2/4 and feeling like a demigod and I did the same and felt the same. And over like 13k hands I was up like 20bi, but down a fair bit in showdown pots.

grats on being back to winning but that 22 hand is really bad imo. i understand your logic and think A8 is the same hand as say 777 on this board for the same reasons but 22 is def way worse and is a pretty horrible bluff catcher because of how often u lose to pure bluffs on showdown. i also think check calling flop is awful too, as you mentioned u were considering doing that

Meh I think my logic is pretty sound. I've played with the guy a ton and I'm a pretty intuitive player and the way the session was going I figured this was the best way to play it (and why I thought he was on air here). I think any hand with showdown value he would check down except A-high. He's also not the type to make thin valueshoves here with 2 pair or a king. Also, I'm very certain about his preflop calling range here.

Honestly I'm not really sure what I'd do if he had bet the flop though and a bet is probably better as a standard but the way the session was going (he was tilting a bit 5bet shoving hands like QTs and A4s PF) I figured he would be more prone to make a huge bluff there. It just felt off on the river which is why I made the (correct) call trusting my gut (I'm not often wrong making big calls fwiw).

Appreciate the input though.
