They got it all wrong. This is sort of a copy/paste of an old DJ Sensei blog post in a way but I was reminded of it while watching a show last night on TV.
In the show, there was some pretty realistic and serious violence. There was also repeated use of the word "faggot" without editing.
However, various instances of F-ck and Sh-t were bleeped out.
Would you rather your 10 year old kid went around saying "Fuck", or using hate speech and being desensitized to grotesque violence?
I wonder why none of the FCC or other censorship groups seem to be asking themselves this same question.
Probably going to raise my kids to understand that the word FUCK is a meaningless vocal chord vibration and is actually incapable of hurting anyone who was born post 1960 from what I gather.
First of all, I made a MSN Account. If you are a micro stakes Grinder and want to discuss how to own' em, or you play higher stakes and need a Padawan, than add 08006536@live.napier.ac.uk ;o
Past days have been very bad.
It was unbelievable how bad my sessions went. It was Suckout after suckout, coooler after cooler. At one time I got Aces cracked 4 times in row. I was actually falling into desperation. I have lost about 90% All-ins against shorties.
However hard I tried, I was always losing and the inevitable tilt has arrived.

Whats Next:
Well I have exams coming up, which means I am taking a break and will take my mind off poker, as I kinda need not to fail these (I got two)
+I have to teach my GF who has no clue about Transition Economics that we both study.
The Plan:
As always, a downswing pushed me finally to work on my game.
I reached Platinum rank at Pokerstrategy, which means I have access to almost all articles there (about 20 new BSS I didn't read yet) and about 30 SH BSS videos for various stakes, so I will not only study Economics for the exam, but also some serious Poka. I don't think there was much I could do apart from some hands today, so sick the downswing was, but if I perfect my game I should be ready to completely own when the cards start coming again.
I also totally changed my HUD. The new Default PT3 positional one was awkward to click through when multitabling and it was Tilting me even more.
So I made 5 Different groups each with separate popup for more stats.
(e.g. I got 3Bet number with positional+4bet stats popup)
My groups are:
3Bet
Fold to 3Bet
player Stats
Att to Steal
Fold to Steal
And I plan on adding C/bet later when I get used to these and keep adding more and more to the main popup.
Its much simpler to play now and more comfy with this hud, as I do vast majority of decisions by just looking at the numbers I got and not opening anything/skimming through useless stats. I think that PT3 is almost as good as HEM now if you got time to fiddle with the features (I even got Squeeze stat now :o)
Another positive thing is that I made about 6,200 VPP this month, meaning I only have to do 1,300 more to get the Roxxor 80,000 VPP bonus and easily grind for Supernova in couple months afterwards.
It also can't get any worse than this so from now on the cards can only get better
I just have to keep this in record cuz it was so lol. Guy was 99 VPIP and would show up in a full pot with A high vs straights or bottom pair vs flushes etc. Was too funny not remember.
I figured I'd bump this because everyone seems to want to make these kinds of blogs today XD

The Borgata is hosting their $500k guaranteed deepstack tourney again next week, and I'm planning on just going and playing it. I'm going to head home on friday so I can be sure to get registered and still play my last 2 FTOPS events this weekend. Because of the FTOPS ME being sunday I'm gonna go for starting on day 1b at the Borgata on monday.
I'm going to play in the event regardless, but if I can manage to hedge the buy in by selling some action then I might as well try and see what I can get. The buyin is $1650, so 5% would be $82.50 , 10% is 165 , and etc. I guess I'd sell up to 70% if I can somehow get that much. If you're interested then PM me or something and we can work it out.
P.S. - Last time they had this event over 900 people played and they crushed the guarantee, and first got $393k or something around there.
and here are my OPRs from since I actually started playing tourneys more often/seriously (from about the start of March I guess): FTP - The Inquisitor Stars - JoeDeertay
sweden changes tourneyrules!?by remember87, May 14
I might be a bit too early to celebrate, but today is possibly a very important day for poker in sweden! In an appeal, swedens "hovrätten" (stage 2/3 in the lawsystem) ruled that a bigger tournament in Texas No-Limit is a game skill!
So far noone but the gouverments casino has been allowed to arrange a tournament (or a cashgame) since it would be "illicit gambling" (dobbleri). However, if this judgement isnt overruled by the Supreme Court, Texas Holdem tournaments isnt considered to be this anymore and thus it would mean that anyone can arrange a tournament without breaking the law!
Perhaps we might be able to have an EPT in sweden in 2011 or someting!!
Cashgame was however still considered to be a game of luck (!) and it will therefor still be considered to be "illicit gambling" and prohibited in an organized way outside the casino. The reason for this was that a cashgame-session could exist of only a few hands and the outcome of those hands would depend on luck. A bigger tournament on the other hand involves a lot of hands (almost 40 hands or more) and the outcome would therefor depend more on the players skill then on the cards the player gets.
I could somewhat understand the reasoning and I like it very much. If cashgames is gambling the winnings is taxfree! I rather call it gambling and pay no tax then call it a game of skill and pay taxes!
I'm looking to sell about 50% of me of a live tourney I'm playing on Saturday the 23rd. It's basically full of donks with the occasional competent player. I think some german Full Tilt Red Pros are coming.
It's in a small Poker club in Austria near to where I live. I've played in a couple of tournies there already, mostly with sucky structures but this one is decent I guess. I played the same tourney last year already, but this time the structure is better.
It's a 330 Euro buy in 20k guarateed. It has 30 minute levels with a 15k starting stack, stating with 25/50
330 Euro is about 450 USD, so 10% is 45$ to be paid on either Stars or Fulltilt.
Check my blog or any tracking site for reference on my tourney play. If you are a respectable LP member I'm fine with me sending the profit if there is any, minus your amount or with you sending after the tourney is over.
If you are interest just pm me or express so in the comments
With just a couple of weeks before this semester finishes and I take a break from the soul-eating hell on earth peolpe calls "Law School" I'm actually growing a tiny bit nostalgic. I've had some good times here mixed in the with stress, brats and retards. I've also met some of my best friends here, learned a couple of important life lessons and listened to some really interesting people. I feel like writing down some of the more notable occurrences here, and it will probably be over a few blog posts. The first part will be about teachers.
In Sweden a semester is called a "Termin" and thus we call the first semester T1, 2nd T2 etc. Cronologically, with non notable teachers not mentioned, the list goes as follows:
T1: A big sized, not really fat but definitely not thin, tall man with what I can only guess is a heart of gold. Rumoured to have gotten his job purely due to a glitch in employment/labor law my first memory of him was when an older student heard that I'd have him and told me that 5 or 6 girls had asked to be transfered from his class last year due to him saying something like; "ohh guys, you know that with the new rape laws in Sweden you can be thrown in jail just by looking lustfully at some girl". He's really nice, but within a month he had probably said 30 things that would've gotten anyone else fired but since he's such a nice old man everyone assumes he's joking. I think he is too, but I'm not 100% sure. His favourite subjects to joke about includes France, women, journalists, contemporary culture and other teachers.
T2: Had a bunch of different teachers. One tried to look badass but lack of clothing sense and his weak ass personality made it hard. Some girl tried to teach a class of rightwing nutjobs labor law and hated us more for each week.
T3: Some Iron Man competitor. Didn't care for him much. Probably a decent human being.
T4: The T1 dude again. Plus some guy rumoured to have been sleeping with a lot of students. He's tiny and tries to look younger then he is, but other then that he seems like a good enough guys so I'm happy that he can still sleep with 20-something y/os with bad self-esteem.
T5: A couple of nice ladies in tax law, on of them tried to explain why it's technically correct to pay taxes on sales of light drugs but not hard drugs since it would otherwise screw up the tax-system as far as the Europeans Union's rules on the subject goes. The she got into the subject of prostitution and really lost me somewhere thinking about knockers instead of tax law.
We also had the only man who's ego was as big as his belly despite being a somewhat fat no body that no one "in real life" outside the universities seems to have heard about. Somewhat funny from time to time though.
T6: Lots of subjects, lots of teachers. A happy guy from Gothenborg, a really cool hippie, some angry girl, some nice girl and a bunch of nice geeks.
Honourable mention:
A professor who is know for trying to sell his books to stundent by any means possible, especially if they havn't got anything at all to do with whatever it is that he's teaching.
Another professor who legend has it threw his ring into the river and screamed "The law killed my soul!" when his wife left him. He's hilarious so I think it's true.
ok after a sesh this afternoon im beginning to get slightly mad which is a first, walked into so many fucking sets with 2 pair i think its humanly impossible for me to get hit by sets (when i flop top 2/nutdraw/lowerset) and its really starting to become a drag ^^ graph noon
Appreciate comments on hands etc and wondering if anyone would be able to coach or rail me for leaks etc (would have to be voluntarily as im not rollin deep :D) if possible then please pm me or something. Ill play another session later but i need some chill time and im starting to get a bit angry atm which isnt good. Thanks in advance if anyone is up for helping me out.
peace
anyone here interested in getting coached by me for full ring poker, NL50/NL100/NL200?
pm me if u are even remotely interested or curious. just wanted to see if theres any demand for full ring coaching lol. i can pm u with any details or info straight away. thanks! as for whether i mean paid or free coaching, well i dont know yet, so i cant say. but just feel the need to teach
about me: have played full ring forever, literally since the beginning of time. back when jesus and dinosaurs roamed the earth in peace. im talking about way before the cold war. if u think 6max is a superior game, i dont think we can be friends and at the moment im playing NL200 and NL400, usually at the same time
So I was messing around with my HEM database, checking out the reports tab. Under, "Winnings Summary," one thing caught my eye. Over 32k hands of NL100 6max, I was a totally breakeven player.
End results were -$22.70. I think I might be a really bad player since I could only breakeven over 30k hands, but that's fine with me. I graphed it and it was pretty funny, and seeing as I haven't played 6max in a long time, I figure I'd share it with you guys.
Wassup. I've been back in England for 5 days now and I'm enjoying it so far, feels good to be in my room once more, be around my "stuff", my friends and family. I think my mind has been a lot clearer and, in general, I've been playing a more solid game. Unfortunately I've been wasting it continually, playing a TON of 100NL just trying to make my stats pretty -_-. On that front, I have been making progress though, I was -20 buyins at 50c/$1 6m and -6 buyins at $3/$6 HU a week ago and now I'm -0.5 buyins at $50c/$1 6m and -1.5 buyins at $3/$6 HU so my stats should be in the green soon, and then I can go back to playing $3/$6 6max and working my way up in games I should be playing. I'm just too neat and OCD, I hate to see my stats in the red lol
It's really annoyed me how I've managed to be breakeven over 30k hands of $0.50/$1, I mean almost all of the regulars are bad and there's a huge amount of complete station donks. I've ran really bad overall, tilted a lot, etc but I feel like my long term edge in those games SHOULD be a minimum of 6ptbb/100, and that's just not been the case so far. I guess it doesn't help that I find it hard to take the money seriously since I've basically been playing stakes 10 times as big regularly for almost 2 years. Despite that, I think that these hands may have actually had a positive effect on my overall game, I've had to go back and reevaluate a lot of the basics and I may have even improved from playing idiots, as funny as that sounds.
Here's some updated stats since I restarted playing early April:
Can't win without showdown at 50c/$1 heh, people never fold -,-
A few days ago I used up over 100k FPPs buying stuff, I got 3 £250 amazon.co.uk gift certificates with which I bought a shitton of DVDs, music CDs, some Sennheiser HD595 headphones some other gadgets and also got a 32GB iPod Touch, which hopefully arrives before I go back to Korea on June 7th. Also got a couple of xbox games, Resident Evil 5, which I didn't like so far mainly because of the controls and also got Street Fighter 4 that I've played a lot with my brother, beat him like 11-2 in best of 3s, and enjoyed the game a lot so far. d.Apollo is coming round mine in a couple of weeks, there's def gonna be a lot of drinking, pokering, pool and probably some birding on his part, though finding a good looking girl in Mansfield is like finding a needle in a haystack. Got a friend's birthday party coming up in a week in Nottingham too, which is a much better night out than Mansfield, though it's still a really rough area, might be able to get some pics from the night out that I can upload in a future blog, will have to see.
I staked Myth for 12.5% of the big WSOP event coming up so fingers crossed that he does well on that, it's the first time I've really done any kind of stake for more than $500, so Corwin fighting!
If I had never tried to make any $0.50/$1 videos I would have never lost money and thus my stats wouldn't have been in the red in the first place, and I wouldn't have been playing there for the last 30k hands trying to make my winrate positive, so I'll leave some of you with that feeling of guilt!
It's the end of my 2nd week of playing on Full Tilt Poker and I've had my ups and downs (ups being close to $2000 and downs being $500). But in the end, all that mattered was that I was even and one other thing ...
ENOUGH FTP FOR POKER CHIPS!
I'm ordering the 500 Piece Custom Set sometime soon, but the problem is, how long does it take to get to me? I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and if my parents are home when it arrives one thing will happen.
I'm going to get shot by my dad.
So I guess this is just really a blog on asking does anyone know roughly how long it would take? I might as well put some stats down here as well because it is a blog ...
$1/$2 NL HE + $200
$2/$4 NL HE + $350
$3/$6 NL HE + $0
$5/$10 NL HE + $700
Tournaments, you ask? It's in the garbage, I'm so bad at those I basically quit, and I'm just sticking with tables for now anyway. ^^
wow just had the most depressing session ever, everytime i thought my luck was changing (i.e KK4 6 9 rainbow in a 4bet flop with AK) thinking 'thanks poker gods' WAMMM BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMM he turns over K4 and proudly types '' into chat, few mins later i get kings and im like yeh lets go baby w00, 4 bet villain he flats with aq, flop q 4 8 rainbow and he bets into me i shove and he calls rivers the ace 'BAAAAAAAAM TAKE THAT MOFO IF YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS EASY' screams a poker god. so yeh ill get a graph and see if i can find the motivation to go over my hands and pick out the redic aids ridden shit hands jus climbing back slowly and fuck my life as i do i raise with 9s and a guy insta shoves $10, cba with this shit :D. But my aims from now are just to build steadily and can someone comment if its best to play through a downswing like ive done tonight bopped off like 7 buyins or w.e or just when i am in the midst of one coming take a break???
heres the graph [img=http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/951/3daygraphmorning.png]
HOLY GNIUW SHIT
AFTER REVIEW IT SEEMS I ACTUALLY DONKED OFF A FUCK LOAD ON SOME SHIT REBUY TOURNAMENT
FFS
note to self - dont fucking play donkaments
thats just made me angry realising how much ive actually blown, my roll is sat at 205 and according to pt i should be sat on 265 ish ??????????????????????????????????????????????????? f-m-l
F9UIAVEUINING im actually mad seeing how ive donked what must be 50 on tournaments ? (Granted i flopped 2 pair just after end of rebuy and a 45k pot guy shoves flop with OESD Q_Q)
Are there any ways of limiting my account so i can't physically play more than one tournament a day and making sure it isn't a rebuy tourney? :x
cba
------end of rage atself rant-
After reflecting, it seems my cash play wasn't all too bad but just a minor losing session of -2 buy ins, and i blew most on tournaments but all is not lost i still have a healthy roll to crush micro and this kind of more motivation for me to go on and destroy nl10 and get into nl25 asap, just need to stay away from mofocking donkaments. But on a serious note i will ask the question again is there a way of limiting what i can do on my account tournament wise like i can/have done cash game wise? Thanks in advance
peace time to sleep get up haircut -------GRIND------
Trying to take poker seriously, problemby ChillSavior, May 13
Just started taking poker seriously, so i deposited $500 on to Fulltilt about a month ago. I started off not doing so well but then learned about poker tracker, watched dogisheadsup series on deuces cracked and before i know it in the past 10 days i've been up about $825. In 23 hours of play tracked, i'm up $825 from just playing $50 NLHE HU. I'm very proud of how i've been doing. I get home from college for the summer and tell my parents about how well i've been doing and they ban poker from my house... i try and explain about pokertracker, how poker is a skill game, how important it is to me, nothing works. They say "this is a gambling/gaming free household" they banned videogames when i was in highschool... which caused my forced retirement from starcraft a few years ago. So i ended up getting really angry and ignoring them and kept playing on my laptop which they noticed. So today they tell me they are going to put a firewall up so my computer can't get internet in the house... makes me so angry. They tell me if i want to play poker its fine i just have to move out... wtf move out? poker will help me move out but right now i dont have the biggest wallet. So if anyone has any advice, if there is any advice possible to give? it would be really appreciated or any other similar circumstance you've run into. Had the idea of playing at starbucks lol dont know how that would work out though...
