Week long vacation with the GF went well. My bros wedding last Saturday was a great time, finally got back to the tables and was on pace for an epic +9buyin session when I lost a 6 buyin flip vs some monkey who called top pair trash kicker and held. Still up a little over 3 buyins so I can't complain. Other then that everything else is going good, so far it's been a pretty good month back.
I'm experiencing some sweet variance at NL25 and am getting a little tired of people peeling two streets for their gutshots. I'm properly rolled at 20 BI for NL50 so I figure I can take a shot at it. I'm going to go back down to NL25 if I drop 4 buyins, I don't mind grinding it, but I'd like to move up as I feel I have acquired the necessary skills.
Keeping this update short for now, I'll definitely have a post in a couple days about how I'm doing.
I was wondering if there would be any interest in people staking me for the Sunday Brawl and the 750k on FTP in the future. Not this coming weekend but pretty much every weekend after that i would like to sell 50% of myself for these 2 tournaments. Today they shut down opr.com for full tilt users but my roi was 140% in mtts with 8k profit and 13k in total prizes. You can check my sharkscope but for some reason its not quite as flattering. Im not sure why there is such a difference but on sharkscope I have 60% roi with 8k in profit. If there is any interest please pm me or reply.
Also, if anyone has any funds on a US pokersite other than pstars i am willing to trade FTP for it. Somewhere around 2k transfer.
Hey everybody, I promised myself I would be blogging in vegas but havent really gotten around to it yet. still have a severe money issue but I think its getting resolved. Basicly I tried making a wire transfer to the bellagio yesterday but I was very uncertain as to what numbers to put where etc, so after my first attempt it said something about the wire transfer not working or w/e. I researched how and where to write account numbers and shit and did it again and yet again it didnt work.
So discouraged and shit I went to play the 2k nlhe event at the rio yesterday and while registering I talked to the dudes there about making a wire transfer to the rio instead. I had to spend like 10 minutes begging the manager of the cage to let me do a wire transfer and finally he caved and let me do it. I have no idea why they are so paranoid about stuff like that but w/e.
Anyways, after getting home last night I checked my bank account and apparently both the wires to the bellagio worked somehow as I now was like a negative 10k in my account. Obv you cant wire transfer money you dont have but apparently my bank has like reserved the money for both the wires so now im not only cash busto but also bank account busto until monday because today is a holiday in sweden. So yeah, I have like 100 bucks for the whole weekend. Vegas ballin yo!
As for poker, I havent played alot given my money situation but the 2k event yesterday went meh. I definitely played a couple of hands kinda badish but eventually I busted cause Im just unable to win flips. No really cool hands come to mind but ill try to make a more detailed update for the next tournament ill play. I busted right before the dinner break and doomer was still in it so we went to dinner with tcblade and after that doomer borrowed me some cash to play 5/10 at the rio.
The table wasnt super soft but you can straddle the button at the rio which makes the game really fun. What doesnt make the game fun is that I gave the floorman 500 bucks and he comes back with 500 bucks in 5 dollar chips what the fuck. I hate chips so much and sitting with like a mountain of them tilts me to no end. Playing with 5 dollar chips seriously makes me play way worse than usually cause I just hate dealing with chips so i pass on alot of good spots just cause I dont wanna count out a raise or w/e. Fuck chips.
Doomer busted after a while and joined me at 5/10 for a couple of hours before we went home. We where both sick tired after playing poker for like 14 hours. We get home and go to sleep pretty quickly, unfortunately timdawg chris erik(pinball) clay and bob come home shortly after and chris timdawg and erik are sick drunk. Kinda hard to sleep when you hear timdawg repeatedly yelling: "ERIK, STOP IT YOU ARE GOING TO KILL YOURSELF" on the top of his lungs. I also have a vauge memory of erik coming into my room interviewing me with an invisible microphone but I could be wrong.
Anyways, I sorta wanna play the 1,5k event tomorrow and I think I can get someone to borrow me money for it. Problem is we are having a party at our house tonight and I will most likely be hung over as fuck tomorrow. Also I dont think anyone else will wanna play it so ill have to take a cab or something which is a bummer.
Cant think of anything else to write, next post will hopefully be more poker related with some hands and stuff. Take care bitches!
edit: LOL chris and timdawg just came through the door drunk and super excited dressed in tuxedos they just bought for no reason saying that they will be the kings of the party. HAHAHA
My no limit feat was going very well.... I grinded my loaned $100 up to $570 within a week on NL 5, NL 10, and NL 25. Paid back the $100 + $20 to the loaner which is a highstakes limit player. And I decided.... why not try some limit. He taught me so much in a day and I really like the game. So I am now officially a limit player
After my last blog post several people got in touch and showed interest in coaching, so I've decided to go ahead with my plans. I mentioned that I had a pretty in depth plan for how this would work so now it's time to share it. I want to provide high quality coaching so that my students get a lot out of the experience and grow into winning players. I enjoy teaching and I really like helping people learn and seeing them grow. I've sat back and thought of everything that I wish I'd been taught and had access to when I first started out, and I will share those lessons and that information with my students.
So let's get this started with the obvious - my results so you can decide whether you want to bother with learning from me. I've put them in a spoiler so you can skip them if you already know me.
I started playing poker in the summer of 2006 and learned from a friend on LP named FirA. I sucked for a long time and was horrible at BR management. I started with NL but moved to fixed limit after I nearly lost my BR by moving up too fast. After that I became a BR nit and have never come close to being broke. After about a year I finally got the basics down and then moved back to NL and cruised through the micros. I had a heater when I got to NL100 and thought I was god, then had an epic downswing and realized I wasn't. At that point I refocused to get past the basics and learned a lot from Midian about taking the game to the next level. I played NL50/NL100 for about a year but hit a wall so I got coaching with Sakisaki. Since then I moved up to NL200 and have been a reg there for several months.
I've been on serious highs and lows from poker but over the past 8 months I finally got good enough so that I can consistently win and have been pulling out about 1k a month while also paying sakisaki for coaching and building my BR. I play poker part time while working part time for a non-profit organization. I run extremely bad (ask sakisaki, he's had to suffer while sweating me) which has left me no room to play on anything but my A game and forced me to learn a lot about tilt control, focus, discipline and other non strategy aspects of being a winner at poker.
Here are some screen shots. These are my lifetime results @ NL25, NL50 and NL100. These are the 3 levels I expect to be coaching on since for NL10 and lower the price is usually gonna be too high, but I can definitely teach you to beat those lower stakes as well. My results for NL10 and lower are not included in the SS since they're skewed - for the last 2 years those are the stakes I visit when I'm drunk and feel like playing 100/100 and going all in every hand. I'm amazed they're still in the green =)
I pay for a nice screen sharing software that will allow us to talk via phone or microphone/speakers and see each others screens during sessions. I've used free programs like teamviewer while getting coached in the past and they made things very difficult, so I've decided to pay for this software to make the coaching sessions smooth. You don't have to pay anything for this. We will use this software every session so that we can talk verbally and see each others screens as necessary.
During a session we will either do 1 or more of the following:
1) Discuss general strategy and ways to improve your game, from tilt control to the best poker programs to use and how to use them.
2) I prefer if you can make a video of yourself playing a regular session and then we can review it together during the coaching session. This way we can go over timing tells, game flow, etc, but can pause and really get into detail rather than live sweat sessions where you are limited in how long you can talk and get distracted by new hands.
3) If you can't make videos, we will do live sweat sessions where I watch you play or you watch me play.
4) We'll go over your HEM/PT database and review hands.
5) If you're a consistent student (doing a session 1 time a week or bought a package up front) then you can PM me hands anytime you want for review, and I might also assign you homework like articles/books to read, videos to watch, etc.
6) I'm flexible in my teaching style and will customize according to what you ask for. If you want me to just give you a general course I can do that, or if you just want to focus on specific areas that you have trouble with then we can do that, and so on.
Stakes and Game Types I Coach
Game Types:
My coaching will be primarily focused on 6max/full ring cash games. I play primarly 6-max cash games, but have played a lot of full ring cash games in my life, especially at the micro stakes. If you have no idea how to play tournaments then I can help you get started since I know the basics and can hold my own, but I am not a tournament specialist and do not consider myself to be qualified to teach you to be a big tournament winner. I don't teach HU or Omaha.
Stakes:
I can teach you to win at NL100 and lower. I may be helpful to a struggling NL200 reg or someone who is just making the move up, but I'd suggest you get a NL400 or higher reg to help you out instead of me.
NL100: If you are already a solid reg @ NL100 I may not be the coach for you, but I can help you make the transition to NL200 and explain the differences and how to adjust. If you're a breakeven reg @ NL100 I can help you become a winner and move up. But overall I do think my services are not as valuable to a NL100 player so that is why the fee is only half a buyin.
NL50: I can help you, a lot. If you've been stuck here forever or just arrived, I can help you figure it out and crush the game. I do know some NL50 players who are equal to me in terms of poker strategy, but they're stuck at this level for other reasons and if you're one of those people I can help you figure out what to change outside of your strategies so that you can move up.
NL25 and Lower: I have a lot to offer you. I can help you maximize your winnings vs all the fish you get to play with, but also help you understand how to change your game vs the occasional good reg you bump into. And I can help you a lot with moving up and expanding your game, taking it to a deeper level.
Payment
1) I charge $50 a session. Sessions last for at least 1 hour and may go longer. If it goes longer than 1 hr, you don't pay anything extra.
2) You can buy a package for $250 and get 6 lessons (1 free). If you buy a package you also can PM me hands anytime for analysis and I might assign you homework to do between sessions (articles/books to read, videos to watch, etc.)
3) Long term profit sharing deals are available but will require a more in depth submission process. If you want long term coaching contact me via PM and I will let you know what I need from you.
4) If you miss a session without notifying me ahead of time (6 hrs) or having a DAMN good reason, then at the next session you will pay half the price of the missed session PLUS the full price of the new session. If I miss a coaching session without notifying you ahead of time (12 hrs) or having a damn good reason, then your next session will be 100% FREE.
5) I am free Mon/Wed/Fri all day so those are the best days for me to do sessions. I can usually fit something in any day of the week though. On Sat/Sun if I do a session it will need to be in the afternoon. We will schedule the sessions via PM here on LP or AIM/MSN.
Applying for Coaching
If you want to take lessons from me then please send me a PM with the below information. I will review it and get in touch with you to set up a FREE consultation session which will last 15-30 minutes. During that time we will get to know each other and talk basic poker. After that we can both decide whether we want to continue and start paid sessions. This way you don't have to pay $50 to spend 30 minutes getting to know me and 30 minutes doing a sweat session, and then decide that you don't like me. You get to decide you don't like me for free and if you do like me then we can get serious on the coaching.
PM me the answer to these questions to apply for coaching:
1) Name, age, location:
2) Preferred poker site(s) and screen names:
3) Current bankroll and game(s) played:
4) How many hands do you typically play per month?
5) How long have you been playing poker?
6) Have you had any coaching before? If so, how did it go?
7) What’s your schedule like? When do you want to do your session? (Give a specific time please)
8) What's your Skype and AIM/MSN?
(Yes, I stole those Q's from Myth's coaching thread. No reason to reinvent the wheel and we all know Myth has this coaching shtick down ^^)
That's all. If you have anymore questions then please reply to this thread or PM me.
May 1st 'til now has pretty much been the most stressful period of time I've had in a looong time. I think I've played well/ + EV overall, but I've definitely ran bad in many crucial parts (its mostly been that everytime I've played vs drunk aggrotards I've gotten coolered really hard and had -2-5bi sessions). Of course I'm not putting all of the blame on luck or what not, I've definitely not played every hand as well as it could be (and a number badly of course lol). I'm still working on my game fo' sho'.
I've deposited $600 on FTP so that when I'm bored I can grind nl25 and move up as my roll allows. I think playing a bit online will help keep myself disciplined and my game a little sharper, because you see so many more situations and basic concepts like solid preflop play are reinforced.
Goalwise, I've set a modest goal of 20kBR by the end of august. I've also banned myself from spending more than $60 on a night of partying, and I'm totally rhino-banned until I'm ballerstatus lol. I can't even imagine how much better I'd be feeling if I had the significantly larger bankroll of a non-rhino/partying goofball. Infact I'd already have my 20k roll roflz :D Then I could be partying without regret! I'm still going to be partying and having fun, just will have to sit-out on some of the club nights w/ the crew.
Otherwise things have been pretty fun~ Pooruser and I have a pretty serious propbet that we have to agree on a time to start. Basically its a DDR/ITG (an american DDR clone) vs Mario Kart bet. We have $1k on each event. Basically we both feel like we're freerolling the fuck out of eachother on each side of the bet; me on DDR/ITG and pooruser on Mario Kart. I need to practice the hell out of mario kart because I literally play it worse than a 3year old with downs at the moment. :D Biggest problem could be if steve is a secret DDR/ITG hustler but I don't think that's the case lol.
NL25 graph WHASSUP.
(tbh the only reason I'm playing online again is so I can post GRAPHS!!!)
Today I played three short sessions on NL50. Total it was 566 hands and I finished +$22. In the evening I also played tournament of Online Poker League (Czech). It was 3$ tournament with one rebuy and add-on. I finished second and won about 80 bucks because there was $125 added in prizepool. Than I played couple HU with my friend and it was good game. I won something but between us it’s not important.
Today I watched some video and played HU tournament when I finished second. Final HU was pretty unlucky for me because I had 1-7 chiplead but lost 60-40 and then 40-60. In the evening I did an experiment. I tried playing LAG session NL20 on CakePoker. It was crazy rollercoaster and I had time to play only three tables. I played 263 hands and in the end of my session my stats were 49/46. It was really crazy playing but it was profitable because I won 2 BI.
Grinded NL5 for 4 hours today, thought I played pretty well other than paying off AK with my AQ in a 3-bet pot. Had a few coolers like KK vs QQ, AA vs TT, etc for 4 buy-ins, but that's all standard. Anyways, happy with a 6 BI up-swing and it's time for bed. Good luck LP
I havnt posted in forever! since my very first blog in fact lol. Since then i have moved my roll from $70 to $250 and am now playing at the 5c/10c 6 max tables. Have to give a big thanks to Mayzerg for helping me along the way.
I have also had success in live tournaments at my local casino. I took down 3rd place in the Stuent league for £20 and won the final table earning £70. combine this with all my winnings in the league and i made a total profit of around £300
I have also played in oher casino tournaments where i split for 1st 3-way to take home £150, came 9th for £40 and 5th for £120 making a total of £310 or another £230 in profits.
So overall live profits in the last 6 months totals £530. Not too much in 6 months but at least its a start!
I have been slacking off at late and am on holiday so have not played at all, but within the next few weeks will be playing around 1k hand a day to try n push for the next limits of 10c/20c. I am going to stay away from live games until Septembe where the student league starts back up.
Ill keep posting key hands and please dont hesitate to critisize me for the way i play! its the only way ill lern

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! The first 5-10 minutes are hilarious, after that the movie is so abysmal it hurts. I actually groaned out loud during the movie, the drunk people next to me passed out from bordem, and the people who were high from smoking just stared blankly at the screen.
about a month ago i purchased a logitech headset and it worked fine etc...ever since i moved to my new apt (last ~couple weeks) it hasnt been working for some reason, no idea why. fwiw, when i unplug the headset the "regular" sound on my computer still doesnt work.
will send $10 on stars to first person to give me info that will make this thing work again, i am pretty much a retard so it's probably smth obvious.
will send $20 if i can get it working within the next 2 hours.

midsummer and unwilling resultsby remember87, June 18
i think I played ok today. might have made some spewy plays, and paid of a few times but nothing seriously bad. The results however was pretty bad, I guess I have to blame the rig I started loosing 2BI the first minute of play (flush over flush both times) and it didnt get better during the night. At one point I was down like 8BI. Didnt tilt or anything so I decided to find some fish.
The only fish available (big ones) was at NL400 so I pumped up 4 tables of NL400 to get it back. The bad thing during the night is that I might be down against the fish. (I might have slightly tilted when fish 3b for the 112th time in a row and ofc he has the nuts). Good thing is, I played great against the regs and cut the total losses in half.
Best hand of the night: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/707002
I have noticed I have played some hands pretty weird the past few days. This is one of them.. I would appreciate comments if its bad or anything.
Soon its of to my parents and celebrate midsummer. Typically its a lot of booze, alot of food and dancing around a maypole.
