about a month ago i purchased a logitech headset and it worked fine etc...ever since i moved to my new apt (last ~couple weeks) it hasnt been working for some reason, no idea why. fwiw, when i unplug the headset the "regular" sound on my computer still doesnt work.
will send $10 on stars to first person to give me info that will make this thing work again, i am pretty much a retard so it's probably smth obvious.
will send $20 if i can get it working within the next 2 hours.

i think u got some usb headset right?
i would try to unplug it - deactivate soundcard and activate again!
if this wont solve the problem i would go for some newer soundcard driver or atleast try to reinstall your old one |

goto start and right click on my computer or computer if you are vista and then click properties, now click on hardware and then device manager in xp or just click device manager in vista. once you do this when you are in device manager look at sound and video devices on the bottom and see if you have an ! or unknown device
you can test the logitech headphones if they are anolog by inserting them into an ipod and testing the sound |

Do u still have the cds the computer came with? Right click my computer on the desktop. Choose hardware tab and device manager. The sound driver that has the ! or ? right click and click reinstall or update driver. Do this if u have the cds. You can also go to driverguide.com |

just google, for your mainboard/laptop soundcard) and look on their page for support and drivers!
there u can get them!
to deactivate the sound card you right click "my computer" and go to properties, search for your soundcard, there is a tab called sound i think! rightclick then there will be an option deactivate! so after deactivating activate it again! profit |
