Played the 5k PLO today. Busted on the second blind level. The quickest I've busted from a decent field tournament ever I think.

Table fish was playing 95% of hands and raising about 90% of them. I had iso'd him a few times and did again about 90bb's deep with KK9T double suited black.

Flop Jd 3c 4c. Fish check/shoved and I called.

Lost to Ah Jc Tc 9s. Turn red nine and no help.

Probably going to play the PLO tournament at the Venetian tomorrow afternoon, maybe box some of my loss back.

Went and saw the SakiSaki over at the other house. He generously provided me a Snus and I am quite pleased with this development.

Well had a good session running a bit over ev which is always nice so im overall +2bi sick ;o. Had a friend sweat my 6max and give pointers/leaks so i feel i can really improve from here and start to see some good results instead of nit ringing :D. I can't play untill sunday as im not home i have to go to london (maybe i can play in gamerbase?!). Most people on this site play starcraft, i however haven't ever played it but i do play cod4 'proffessionaly' you could say so ive got to go to london for a tournament and a show match, i honestly cba id rather sit at home living a sick life and work on my game but it should be a fun weekend being out with like-minded gamers for a weekend lol. Potential to win a bit of cash but not too much although its enough for a student (if we win..) and the travels/accomo is free so all is good on that side.
Afaik going out saturday night so i probably wont play till monday cos playing with a hangover sucks ass.

My biggest cash to date. When starting this blog my original goal was to reach 10k from 0 in 1 calendar year by playing cash games and moving up the cash game pyramid. When I hit a rocky stretch I figured "there has to be a better way." So I switched to tournaments and have become a tourny regular. I wouldnt recommend the switch to everyone but it is definitely a better fit for me. Now I'm at the 10k mark in around 6 months of play. I'm going to adjust my goal to try and make it to 25k by years end.

Now for the favor. I've been playing exclusively on FTP for 6 months and I know that I need to get money on PS to really start taking advantage of the guaranteed tournies. On FTP there is usually only 3 worthwile tournies every 2 hours. So I was wondering if a trusted member of this site, probably a microstakes players would want to earn $20 to help me out for 20 minutes. I made a new account on PS and I want to see if they shutdown my account the second a real money transfer is made to the account.

I was banned because one of my irl friends multi-accounted and we sent money back and forth all the time so they shut mine down too. They needed me to send in ID and I was only 16 at the time so I didnt have any options. So if someone could help me out, I would want a $50 transfer on PS and I'll send $70 on FTP. Thanks.

I'm sorry I have not blogged inawile. I had lost like 4k playing 1/2 and was left with like 1.5k to play and had lost a lot of motivation to play poker. I'm really disappointed in myself for that because I am the last person to get discouraged about something when things are going so well. It's kinda like when you get into a slump of losing games on iccup or something. It gets really easy to just stop playing. Like if you don't play starcraft for one day. It's very easy to just stop playing. For me anyways.
However, I've been 24 tbling 25nl and running pretty good and 12 tbling 50nl. Such a nit fest though.
I got a job at Taco Bell at the beginning of the Summer. And I have to be honest. It sux dick. Place is busy like 24/7. But I'm lucky and grateful to have a job and money to play poker. One thing is for sure though I can't wait to go back to school in the Fall. I'll be able to put my 2 weeks at Taco Bell and just focus on school and poker and shit. I'm going to be living in Downtown Denver too where my school is. The place that I'm staying in has the sickest view of the city. It is going to be awesome to finally get out on my own and out of my parents house. Even though I love my parents.
Also I wanted to give a shout out to NeillyAA because whenever I log onto the world wide web I check his blog. And something I really admire about the guy is that he not only blogs when he runs good, but, also when he runs bad. He also vacationed to Vegas and decided not to leave. So he could pursue his goals and learn more about poker and shit. I dunno.. It's just cool to see a guy go for it. I don't know him or have ever talked to him but he seems like a really chill and humble guy.
Anyways, yah I can't wait to start school and move downtown. Btw I love playing Cod 4 and Halo 3 send me a pm if you wanna play. Pce guys.

Grinding many many hours 8 tabling now on NL 10 after my first day where I made 14 buy ins on NL 5. But it is starting to get boring and now that my roll is finally growing I am starting to get temptations to play NL 25. NOOOO!!! (See last blog for info)

Well, first session went fine played well ran ok, second session was going good too untill i got minisessiondoomswitched where i jus lot everything and dropped 6bi, therefore i am breakeven wo0p check my hh if you wanna see the sick standard cooler that is tptk runner runnering a set as std 0bv.

Using two monitors is fcking sick btw, can 8 table perfectly cos the tables are at the perfect size, 4 on each so dont need to strain like 12 tabling or 9 tabling would on my old small shit monitor. Found a leak which was opening kq/kj too early in nit ring so tomorrow hopefully i can stop spewage by plugging that and see where it takes me. If anyone wants to sweat and help me out i'd appreciate it

i was qualified for some rakeback 3k freeroll on cake, out of 174 i got 21st for 30 bucks played good, picked my spots wisely, folded around to me, got it in w/ 4.5k on 400/800 blinds, guy with 12k on bb insta calls, i have A9cc he had K8cc, rivers an 8 =*(

Day 16: 16.6.09

After yesterday I had today a bit free day. I played only two satellites but with no results. I was doing some work most of the day. Tomorrow I want to play and also watch some videos from CR.

Day 15: 15.6.09

Today I played two sessions with my good friend who is regular on NL100. We played 1142 hands but with result -$98.33 because we were unlucky and also made one bad play and stacked off there. But I think that our game was good and we had a few very good moments but highlight of our sessions was this hand - http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/706239. Opponent said that he had called us because he knew that we had nothing. After this we couldn’t stop laughing for a long time.
In the evening we went to card club to play live cash game (blinds 5/10 CZK = 0.25/0.50 USD). I was doing well but lost something in the end and finished almost break even (-14 BB). I had one good suckout when I 3bet KQs preflop vs. shortstack, flopped flush and pushed him all-in. He called me with top pair and caught running full house. But it was fun only for 27 BB. We finished late and in the end it was fun because we also played other games like 5 card draw, 2-7 lowball, ...

Total result so far: 6403 hands, -$357.61

All signs are pointing that I'm not good enough to beat NL200, but I don't actually believe that? This is my fourth failed shot, and I think I've had only 2 winning sessions over 11k hands.

Day 14: 14.6.09

Today was pretty good. In the morning I played short session (216 hands) and finished break even but I had very funny hand against one fish. I posted this hand here on liquidpoker - http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/705103.
In the afternoon I had beach volleyball tournament. It was for mixed teams and we finished on third place of total twelve teams. Tournament was pretty good, nice weather, good people and also good result I think.
In the evening I went with my friend to watch Australian football match here in Prague, because my cousin played there. It was really very interesting and then we went with other players to pub so I really enjoyed this day.

What up LP? Its a little bit since Ive done an update and I got sometime to kill right now so I figured I would give an update on how things are going in poker and just in my life in general.

In poker things are finally starting to take off for me. A while ago I started talking about poker with this guy I met over at 2+2. He told me he had a friend who played full ring like I do but he palys 1/2 - 3/6 instead of my micro limits lol.Ive become pretty good friends withh him and it turns out he doesnt live far away from me at all.

At the start of June I was running pretty shitty and wasnt making much progress. I was breakeven for 45k hands and getting very frutrated. I like to think that I dont go on tilt that easy. If I did go on tilt during this breakven bs then I could have ended up losing a ton of money. I asked my buddy to do a couple of sweat sessions wiht me and he pointed out a few little leaks that I needed to fix and almost right away I started to see better results.

A few weeks ago he asked me if I would be interested in a stake. We talked it over and finally came to a deal that was in the best interest for both of us. Part of the deal was that he would have to coach me atleast once a week. This is such a great opprtunity for myself and I really have nothing to lose but just so much more to gain. I couldnt say no to the offer. So now Ive moved up in steaks and I am very comfortably rolled for what Im playing. Already with his help I can see my game is getting lot more solid and Im starting to feel a lot more confident at the tables. Hopefully things go well for the rest of the month so I can start making some serious monies!!!

On the non-poker side of things Im running pretty well this month too lol. It was my birthday on Saturday and my brother managed to get tickets to go see Russell Peters at the ACC in Toronto on Friday. The show was great. Russell Peters is hilarious lol. He picked on this one guy in the front row so bad haha I almost felt bad for the guy but everything Russell said about him was so true lol. Saturday night I went out in London with some of my buddies and it was just a messy ass night lol. I was platered but hey it was my birthday so I should be lol. Pretyt solid night too. The next mornign sucked dick though because I was soooo hungover and managed to lose my car keys. I had to go all the way back to Kitchener to grab m spare, then drive all the way back to London to pick up my car. The fucking alarm would not go off and it took me like 35 minutes before I got the car to start lol.

Yestrday I went back to London to move some off the stuff out of my house. Im moving back home and well... moving just sucks period lol. Img oing to go back there today in a bit to get the rest of my shit. Hopefully its the last trip I have to do.

Well I cant really think of much more to write right now so I guess Ill talk to you guys later. Take care everyone and good luck at the tables!

Well pretty much.

These past few days I've been coming to the realization of how much I've lost in a 3 day weekend. 1 night playing blackout drunk at a friends house and losing a good chunk of my br still makes me feel sick to my stomach.

Right before my trip to Vegas too, I feel sick and ashamed.

I don't want to come off begging for a loan but I would have something in mind is anyone is interested.

-2k loan to play 100NL-

every week pay a minimum of 200.00 [or any amount over in increments of 100.00 ((ie at the end of the first week I'm at 2439.23, I pay back 400.00))]

-I don't really expect it to take me any longer than a month to pay the entire thing back. I'd even be willing to do a higher minimum per week as well if you'd be more comfortable.

If this doesn't work out I'll probably regrind the small amount I have left on my FTP account.


p.s. I've never received a stake nor have I received a loan, I only am asking because I want to come out to Vegas in July and party with some fellow LP'ers finally, and ofc teach them how to drink. : I really never thought I'd be asking for this.

Played a live tourney yesterday, 32 ppl, took it down... two hands i got really lucky on @ ft...
Hand 1.
6 handed from the BB, blinds are 4k/8k, and i have 27k left. One guys shoves his 9k (i think utg), guy right of dealer/chip leader shoves. I have A9s, and my only hand history with chip leader/dealer is previously he said "i have j7s" then shoves, gets called, shoves j7hh, and hits a flush. This guy is obv donkfish. So i go all in w/ A9, Chip leader had AJ, and 9k guy had KJ. Flop was A7A, and i turned a 9 for a boat. That got me to 2nd chip leader next to the guy who called me earlier.

Hand 2.
we're down to heads up and i shove with AJo, he (same chip leader/guy who said "i have j7s") calls with ducks. Flop is TTT...Q....T....giving me quads with A kicker. Next hand i put him out and take it downnnnn

feeling good...trip to vegas T-minus 18 days can't wait.
