so. if i forget to start HEM before one of my sessions, how do i add the hands to my data afterwards?

if it involves manually going through the files somehow, how do i know what cutoff point is?

Hey guess ill post an update on how im doing since my last blog, since then i bought HEM which definitely helps a lot and have tried out various things including 4 tabling, which seemed sick compared to what i used to do (20 tables FR, now i'm playing 6 max,and like i actually play people instead of 20 tabling fr and wait for aces to stack a drunk lagtard, recently i switched to 9 tabling to get more hands in but i think i might go back to 4 tabling to improve. Unfortunately though I've been stuck at nl50 this entire month and just today had a -400 EV down swing so im at 1300 total for my BR, and i will receive around 700+ in rakeback soon. so now to further improve my game i was wondering what you guys thought about some of those poker video sites like stox or cardrunners or something, seems like this would be really useful, sort of like watching a replay in sc i guess. Some good news about how poker is going for me is i deposited 100$ on ps and got 2nd place in a 1$ tournament and got like 450+ and also grinded a few 2.20 180 mtt's which i made a decent profit from, so i can withdraw this money and use it for coaching or videos or w/e. another thing i was wondering about is how long do you think is long enough to determine if you should keep playing poker player or not, currently i've been playing for over half a year and i feel like im a good player and can beat teh inter pokers but so does every other single poker player. also how long is normal to be trying to beat a limit as low as nl50? yeah so i guess that its for this blog give me your thoughts on some of those poker sites and if they are even worth it.

i cant post images for some reason, i kinda liked the old method of posting pics coz it was faster, this thing doesnt work for me at all. on the poker front, things havent gone really great, just made 250 in a week grinding massive hands and running totally under ev over 40k hands, day 1 of stake was awesome since it was on a weekend and won 9bi at 100nl, the following weekdays that followed were just too brutal and swingy so i lost 2/3 of what i won, FML. stars has been fucking with me lately and after the start of the 2nd week, i ran completely like horseshit and started playing a little worse since i just couldnt hit good flops or at least textures at least to make cbetting not too -ev against regs. i believe ppl at 100nl have been noticing that ive been running terrible and playing at little to weak or spastic at times. so yeah i get 3bet a lot lately and it hasnt been great at all playing oop and losing a lot in those spots. im currently down about 7bi atm and it feels sick that i have to go back to 50nl to get my confidence back a little and so as to not ask money from staker for a reload coz i def want him to just breakeven at the worst from this whole stake and not lose money. im very thankful about this whole stake and i def know things will turn around soon. anyways i hope this image uploader thing gets fixed

I started the month playing Fixed Limit still. Then I realized there's just not as much money in that game anymore and I can't deal with the variance involved. So after about 4 days into the month I switched to SnGs. Played those for about a week and then a friend of mine was visiting and he also plays poker. In short he basically was like "Lol why don't you play NL 6max cash.. it's the most profitable." Since then I've stuck to 6mad NL cash starting back at NL25.

It's kind of hard to swallow because back in February I was NL50 reg and about to move up to NL100. But I had some rough downswings + tilt and moved back to Fixed Limit and wasted 5 months, and here we are at NL25. I've gotten better though so I guess it doesn't matter which stakes I'm playing, I know I'll get to my end of year goal which is to switch to part-time at my job once I make 50 buy-ins at NL100.

I won't post an EV graph because it's kind of sick to look at how much I "could" have won. I'm trying to not use this function at all and if there was a way to delete it from HEM I would. I've been mostly 4-6 tabling on my laptop and I just built a new desktop to use later on I just need to get a monitor for it. It will be strictly a poker machine but I will still only 6 table at max.

About 10k hands at NL25 + another 10k at Fixed Limit and SnGs. 20k hands isn't too bad since I work full-time, my goal for August will be 30k. We'll see if that happens though because my birthday is in August and I'll be going to Vegas :D

another 3k hands played today, between 4-12 tables. 5.56 hours!

July was a flippin disaster. My June ended pretty badly but for this bullspit to repeat itself in July just drains my balls. I started the month off with a 6 buyin downswing - boom. Move back down to NL50. Grind some there, and still got owned with bad runnings + megatilt.

Deposited $500 on fulltilt to clear a bonus and busted it all in 7k hands running like poop.

Granted I did play breakeven poker because of the extreme stuff that was happening but this is just rediculous. July

Today was a great day. Stuck to 4 tabling 25nl. Made $212 and cleared a $50 bonus. I had this huge fish on my right on one table who was playing 96/78 and played every hand the same way. He would raise to .75, then fire .75 on flop, 1.25 on turn and 2.25 on the river every hand, it was awesome.

so i really havent been playing poker much til about a week or two ago. i was skyping with mayzerg n mikeymoo and they effectively convinced me to begin grinding again. so i started playing again and i feel im playing pretty well i guess. i really believe its all due to not using a hud. when i used to use a hud, i would get distracted by all the shit all over the screen and convince myself to do things that i know werent right.

so im pretty excited for august and im hoping for a good month and to move to NL100 relatively soon.

also i find that talking to other poker players on skype is fun and keeps my attention focused on poker and not doing other shit. if anyone wants to ghost me or skype with me or vice versa while i play PM me.

still need to get my money off cake somehow, so if anyone can help with that itd b swell and greatly appreciated!

Im just on my way out the door to ribfest with a buncha guys which should be delicious and fun

So I dont really have a whole lot of time to update, I went to vegas for a week in early July with Dzoo and met a buncha awesome guys like timdawg,pinball,saki,mipwnya, rekrul, handbanana amd other lpers... next year Ill probably be out there longer since I will finally be 21 aha.

Anyways I got off to a brutal start to the month since I didnt play at all in vegas and was rusty or something I guess, not the greatest month ever but I cant really complain... started playing a lot better towards the end of the month so hopefully keep that up in august

Well I played enough and had a month I would like to forget, I did make a marginal profit with the rakeback and such but overall I'm pretty disappointed. To much mass tabling to meet the hand goal for the month but on the upside I know I'm capable of mass grinding if needed, the only issue is variance can be a bitch if you run bad in flips or get setup a couple times it can lead to some very bad days. Obviously didn't make the bankroll goal and without that I didn't take shots at 100nl which I guess is a good thing. Atleast I stayed within my bankroll and didn't tilt like crazy. I also failed at getting a good job, I applied for many and got interviews for most. The problem is anything I want to do I don't have enough experience and anything I don't really wanna do but pays well I'm overqualified for. And the final goal of finish moving, yeah well that happened. 26 unemployed and living with the parents.........again. I really could afford to live on my own, but I don't wanna sign a lease then find a good job and have to pay rent in two places. Also it just doesn't make sense for me to do it if my parents are ok with me living at their place and aren't going to charge me anything. So basically I'll be giving up a ton of privacy to save up a ton of money. I'm hoping that this will hopefully help me progress in poker as well as put me in a good position to buy a house soon after I settle in somewhere once I have a job.

My dad leaves on August 5th and all I can think about is playing again. I'm going to start taking the game more seriously and start anaylizing my hands more, I.E posting hands on this site and I'll try to do some instructional videos. In other news I installed Windows 7 beta. I had a fucking hard time to. After first install the freakin`thing kept giving me blue screen of death while I was surfing the net. I figured it was probably my network card. I checked he device manager and sure enough Windows 7 beta thought my network card was something it wasn`t. I had to change the driver and now its running with no problems. So, if you try installing windows 7 make sure its up to date and you have all the right drivers

After grindin 2 and 5 NL i'm finally rolled for 10NL.
I must say i feel much more confident playin within my BR and respecting it. I really feel I can beat these stakes.
I'll be back later with some numbers.

I also made the switch from PS to FTP, because stars really began to tilt me.
Their updates sucked like hell. The first time i updated my sound wasnt working. The second time i couldnt register for tournament.
Then, for no reason and without a warning they blocked my account cause my brother was playing on the same computer.
So i switched to FTP and i really like it. Suprisingly i find it softer then PS. There are fewer donks and the tourneys are less crowed.
So I really consider stayin on FPT.
Well, i'ma grind some 10NL again.

A few notes: Seems like folding more was what I needed. I know, I know - redline is really fugly, but my showdown winnings more than make up for it - so it would look. Still trying to get the redline back on track though, I feel I get bullied out in some spots where I shouldn't allow it. Next month the priority is to keep showdown wins at the same rate, whilst improving the redline.

Total winnings ain't bad, but could be better. Also shadowed by the fact that I ended the month negative in MTTs. No whines though, a positive graph is a positive graph.

Good luck at the tables LP, and I hope your July was better than mine!
