Ok so im sitting here at work on my 26th birthday, its very slow and I began reflecting on the last few years. I began wondering what my life would be like if I had never read rekruls poker story on team liquid and gotten the sickness. I began wondering what I would be doing right now. I thought long and hard about all of the ups and downs and agony that I have gone through in poker. And then I realized that none of it matters. Theres no reason for me to create my own personal hell. No reason for me to cry and complain about having thousand dollar swings. Its like rekrul once said, that we are all in a very fortunate position to be able to make money clicking a mouse on a computer. Everyone in life has to deal with suffering. This is one of the noble truths dictated by the Buddha. My goal for the next year of my life is to begin freeing myself from suffering. To be able to play poker without it causing pain in my life.

I'm back in school after a two year hiatus, doing a one year base course of natural science. It consists of math, biology, chemistry and physics. The goal is to study and become a biologist so I can push for a legalization of marijuana in Sweden. There's no one in the swedish media pushing for it and who better than a biologist, right?
It's sort of nice to really do something instead of just playing poker, being with friends, smoking weed and stuff like that whenever i want to. School itself isn't bad, but it makes everything that's not related to school ten times better, you need the sour to appreciate the sweet. The worst thing is that I haven't had any time to play poker so far, I could've made time but I've instead chosen to just relax or study on my free time instead playing poker and studying. A good choice imo since it makes my life alot better.
I've been trying some HU since don't have much time because of school, I've played like 2-3h. My opponents so far has been really bad and easy to exploit.. hopefully most players on nl50 hu are :D. I'm up about $20 but I haven't even played 500 hands.
Today was the first day in 2 weeks I played some 6max, my plan was to play nl100 but there weren't too many really juicy tables so i took a look at nl200 which had alot of juicy tables . I opened up a mix of nl100 and 200 tables which soon became 4 nl200 tables. The games were much softer than nl100 on weekdays, i ran good overall and was lucky with picking up TPGK hands vs. the right opponents, made some semi big bluffs which all worked and I was lucky with the flop textures on a lot of flops which enabled me to take down alot of pots with a cbet.

He was playing 24/14/7 after 50 hands and had been playing really fast postflop, I thought he'd try to get it in on the flop with TPTK or any draw so I was pretty happy to get it in. My read on his range was right but unfortunately I didn't win this one. Still ended the day +300 after 600 hands so I'm still very happy with the result, and how i played.
This is starting to get annoying... 14 BI difference, how the hell does this happen at 50nl, never had so many suckouts in my life lol.
From top to bottom 22 BI swing. Having friends review alot of my big pots because im starting to question my game (which is the last thing i should be doing, considering how bad everyone is at these limits). So ya, thanks to the people who are helping me get through this.
So, my poker escapade has been going fairly decent, stagnating here and there but on the bright side the flame is still burning strong and I have also convinced a close friend to become obsessed with poker which is good since having someone else to talk about it with irl is pretty sick. Anyway as the title suggest I've been playing like a nit and am currently at the .01/.02 stakes. I started out with $25 and was able to turn it into $70 however due to lack of cash for bills (work is slow) I needed to take it out so I am back down to $25 and steadily working on building it again. Anyway here are a few hands that I'd like liquid poker to assess, I didn't have too many hands on the villian. Any advice is appreciated! I have to go to work soon but I'm looking forward to the responses.

Welps, decided to take a couple day break off online poker (had a 10k hand downswing where i lost about 1k~ , mainly a mix of losing a few big 400bb flips and some at 1/2), and spent the time just coaching a few NL50 regs. Helps my game out and it's nice to help out people as well.
I was told by a friend how soft the games were at Enoch River cree, a slightly out of town casino that is obv run on a reserve. the casino predominantly runs 5/10 mixed , 2/5 HE and 1/2 HE capped games and the play is super horrendous, moreso than the other casinos around edmonton. (there are like 10-15 casinos in my city, it's pretty sick........compare it like this - edmonton is a city of 1 million people. the entire PROVINCE of ontario, has like 2 casinos, it's pretty hiarious)
Anyhoo, being the fact that i hadn't played live poker in a long long LONG time, i figured now would be the best time to take a shot at it since being table captain is nice.
Initially, i had been planning to bring 1k with me and sit in the 2/5 HE game, but apparently i am a vagina and decided to be social for the night and just chillax and mess around at the 1/2. I grabbed 500 hundo from my piggy bank, stuffed it in my pocket and got in the car. 40 minutes later, i was praying to the poker gods to run hot as shit tonight and crush everyone. On the way there, my buddy was telling me how he was down to 30 bucks at the casino and was able to run it up to 950, so sick / luck sack.
We get on the list and its only a 3 minute wait because of the shit tonne of callins (lazy poker players never coming on time). I get seated and opt not to buy the button (i hate playing while im de-racking my chips) and decide to wait a couple hands for the button to pass me. I look around at the table and quickly make a mental note of everyone.

I think in my head how nice it would be to bink and stack him. I have about 400~ or so at this pt, give or take 10 or 20 bucks. I cover him by alot, he's only got about 100~ i estimate. K410 rainbow, zing. I check, he overbet shoves, i snap obv, and he shows 74o. River 4, fk D:

My stack yoyo's between 250-350 the entire time as im busy setting up image and i had been caught once double barreling w/ air.
Anyway, i get AK in the HJ. 3 limpers to me, and i bomb it to 20. Everyone folds except for, you guessed it, wigger boy who insta flats. Flop Kc8c2d , he checks quickly, i think for a second and overbet shove. (he has about 100 left), he INSTA snaps with A10cc, like i mean INSTANTLY-FIST-PUMP-OMG-DA NUTZZZZZZZZ. his face drops when i show him that i binked a king (guess he thoguth i had air), i fade the clubs and stack his ass. he leaves to reload.
at this point it gets kind of fuzzy, as far as stack sizes go. but i stop getting into spots with him because apparently he "just cant hit anything" tonight (YOUVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE 74o HAND ALREADY WTF?)
10-15 mins later or so, with my aggressive / speweish image solidified, i get dealt AKhh UTG (LOL CARD RACK). i bomb it to a stnd 7.5x bb raise, and the fob on my left instantly flats. everyone folds and it's hu to a 446 one heart flop. I cbet 25 and he thinks for a second and 3bets my ass to 60. I think for a moment.. i wasn't sure what kind of player he was and if he was just raising to see where his 22-88 was at, or if he was just raising me with air because he thought i was FOS. stack sizes were about even, and we were about 180bb deep iirc...
with backdoor hearts and straight draws, and what i felt were 2 live overs, i flatted. Turn was a black 7 and i check folded to a 90$ bet. stupid fob starts whispering something in mandarin to his gf , fml
a little bit later, i raise 109hh EPish, and the douchey white guy who had been eyeing me the past 10 minutes with some sort of menacing glare and complaining something about "raising too much" flats my 15 raise. It's HU again, which was a common occurence at this table. maybe they were gunning for me, or people just didnt like playing multiway or whatever.

This throws me off a bit (i cover him by about 40-50bb more or so), as i expect him to hollywood with a flush or something. but he showed SO much strength that i felt something fishy was going on in this hand. He sat in his seat with a very confident look on his face. I tank for a lil, come to the conclusion that he's just making a move with an AcX type hand, or some weird 78 hand, and decide to turn my TP into a bluff and shove over him. He instaslides in his stack with JJ. no miracle on the river and i'm chopped down to 120. I reload to 200 and continue on.
meanwhile, direleif gets stacked by teh asian fob when they both get it in on Q24hh board, fob has KQ and he has AK, running hearts for the KQ stacks the AK..ewwww
i raise A9o in the CO a little bit later after i've stopped getting respect. The creepy gangly guy limp calls me from EP and it's hu , once again to a 936 rainbow flop. I cbet 25 and he daintly throws in the chips.
Turn is a Q and i bomb 60. he quickly but quietly calls. fk.
River is a 10 and he slowly , and systematically counts out 100 bucks and puts it in. thoughts of shoving over him spring forth in my mind but i stop it and dump the hand. i cant believe i thoguth he was double oop- floating me..good thing i didnt act on it
i reload once more, but run ice cold and being dealt continuous off suit 4-5 gapper for an hour. at this point im pretty exhausted and decide to straddle. 3 callers and i look down at KJo. I raise to 20 and get 2 callers. flop is JJ6, wheeeee. i bet 30 and churchy old man on my left flats, and douchey guy's friend flats.
8 on turn, i check with plans to get it in. church guy checks, and douchey dude's friend bets 30. i flat, putting him on a weak PP like 77-44 trying to buy the pot. at this pt in the hand i figure he knows im aggro enough to be betting with air on this flop, as i had been raising every hand ive straddled. nitty church man raises to 90...rut roh. He insta folds and i think for a while trying to put him on a range. at this point it's basically 66/88/QJ/J10/MAAAAAAAAAAYBE QQ/KK? he had open limped AKss before so it wouldnt be TOTALLY out of line for him to attempt to limp 3b monsters from early. anyway i decided to flat because boating up wud be pretty cool and i was pretty tired at this point. river is a 3 and he bets 10bucks, rofl, i had like 50 bucks left. anyway i call and he has 66

the last week ive been playing only NL5 about 12k hands and my bankroll is exactly -1$ from where i started a week ago. i read the low stakes poker hand threads here and read the microstakes guide someone posted in my last blog. im applying the stuff said in there, my vpip is always between 17-20%, i win about 60% of my showdowns and i dont know what im doing wrong. after most 1k hand sessions i still sit at every table with my original buy-in take or give 1$. maybe its my betting pattern, but i couldnt find much more advice than bet strong if you have the best hand. could anyone recommend me articles about betting patterns at microstakes, or give me some little more specific advice on how and which amounts to bet?

So I was supposed to be with my parents now but unfortunately too much crap has happened to me lately that I just didn't feel up to interacting with my dear mother so I took an early train back to Uppsala. Felt like absolute crap a couple of hours ago, feel fairly decent right now. I really like my room in my appartment. Got a sweet poker set-up, a ton of books and films and other shit I like. Even my ugly-ass bed is a possession I like very much. Got it for like 50 USD or something from a friend who moved away when she didn't want to bring the piece of crap to the capital when she moved there and I felt that it was easier then actually buying something real. The only thing I really don't like is some stupid Chinese porcelain cat that's supposed to be lucky but really seems to fuck everything up for me. The plan is to take my bat and see if I'm right in my assessment that it probably falls a tiny bit faster then a tennis ball and thus should be just a bit harder to hit. In any case I'll try to get it on tape just to watch every time I feel bad about a bad beat or something.
On that note asian girl sent me like seven or something drunk text messages last night. Her English ain't so tight when she's sober, yo, so this crap be messed up. No idea wtf she meant but I rather hoped she tried to tell me to go fuck myself cause I feel much better leaving people on a good note of because they don't want to talk to you. Don't really have to deal with shit if people ignore you and you don't need them for anything.
Anyway, standing around like a retard waiting on the good damn train earlier tonight I decided to call N. Some girl I used to date 5-6 years ago. We had fun, we broke up, had a fight and then we were a bit on and off for a year or two and all that stuff. She's studying in another part of the country now and I think she had a boyfriend last I checked but she still calls me from time to time bitching about shit and catching up. Normally I don't really talk in the phone with people, and I especially don't listen to some girl crying about stupid crap for more then like half a minute or so. However, I do consider her a friend by now and besides never being able to keeping appointments I don't think she's ever done me anything wrong while I did some fairly bad things back in the day so I kinda feel like repaying a bit. Anyway, She heard I had a bad week and instead of the usual "oh poor you! Now I'll go party with my friends, later!" you should expect from a fairly pretty girl a Saturday night she told me to get on the fucking train to come see her. Now, I'm not on of those spontaneous types, which severely hurts my interaction with the opposite sex, so I told her I couldn't since I'll get guests in just a day or two but that I'd love to come down next week if it was all the same to her. Apparently it was so after UO Prague I'll drag my ass down South for a few days.
Made me feel better.
Also, I did in fact win a little bit of money when I got back here. Not much, but still.
Also really starting to get into The Wire. Stupid shit keeps me up all night, but I guess my sleeping patterns will get fucked by Prague anyway so don't care. Thanks for the tip Red.

The games were much softer than nl100 on weekdays, i ran good overall and was lucky with picking up TPGK hands vs. the right opponents, made some semi big bluffs which all worked and I was lucky with the flop textures on a lot of flops which enabled me to take down alot of pots with a cbet.
