can't post in forums because of some new feature? by jasper5408, September 14

ct_equal?????

anyway was wondering about a line check

limp/caller, min bet is an adjustment to me isolating him a lot.

i normally iso to 2 dollars but he's been folding so i opted for 1.65

on flop pretty sure i have the best hand a lot of the time. but against particular opponent i strongly feel as though frustration will take over and he will try and bluff
(1. bet this near 100% against regular villain no?)

his turn stab to me really looks like a lower pp trying to bluff so i opt to call (hoping for a river bluff as well).

river stab i call pretty confidently as nothing on the board has changed.

2. am i trying to hard to look for bluffs that aren't there?

Was looking at the WCOOP events that are running and decided to open up a table. This was the first hand I saw..

The jackass tanked for like 90 seconds on the river before calling.

Then there is this thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/58/heads-up-nl/stevesbets-25k-response-583913/ Where a guy flops the nuts and tanks for 2 minutes before calling an all-in in the 25k Heads-up tourney. What is wrong with these jackasses..

The Mission by NeillyJQ, September 14

NL25 - NL100 - $10,500 online 60-120 min sessions for cashgames

Play for hourly in cash, only up to NL100 until 2010, then sweats w/ some great players to see if I'm ready to move up to NL200 (Rolled for it, but dare not try again after my previous failures until I put in at least 100k+ hands at NL25-NL100 6max again, been a while since I've been playing both MTT and 6Max regularly)

Supernova FPP bonuses should add to 3-6k a month from playing cash plus profits, along with any tournament scores

1-3 days MTTs (when encouraged to play more than 5 hour sessions)

Save enough to start renting a house to own in ellicotteville NY (amazing ski city)

$50k by Jan 1st and decide

I have arranged a coaching deal with one of the best players in the game today for a good deal

Other than that, chillin back in Altoona PA, lookin to take some trips to state college and party and meet some cool players / people around my area (state college is like 90 min drive)

Off to go play some NL100

(if I lose 2 days in a row at NL100, i drop to NL25, rebuild confidence and work back up to NL100), bankroll preversvation and confidence is extremely important

GL LP,
Ryan

Fuck the wcoop right in the azz by Achoo, September 14

Played a bunch of those, lose first one 530$ bi getting it in as an 6 to 1 fav and obv he hits, then played the 215$ 1M guaranteed where i lose AA to A6s and finally just finished the 320$ where i flopped a set and lose to higher set but thanks god it was within the first 10 hands. At least i dont have to play 6 hours for nothing.

Dunno how you guys can play mtts, they're so fucking tilting and boring they insta-tilt me hardcore. I'd need to lose probably 20 bis at cash games before i reach that point of frustration. Pretty happy the wcoop are over for me, looking forward to avoid mtts in the future.

Cash games: doing good, curious to see the numbers at end of months looks like a pretty solid month so far so i got something going good at least.

Life: No comment. Getting back in shape training a lot and eating healthy, should lose some weight and get some fresh pussy soon enough gniiiii

Good luck at the tables.

More or less fit! by piratematerial, September 14

More or less fit again! So a good time to write up a short blogpost while drinking a cup of nice hot tea. I got sick on friday. Caught some fever or something. Kept me from destroying the 100nl games and trying to move up this weekend Have been sleeping a ton at my folks home back south. So annoying and boring to be ill.. Will return to the urban north today. Watched the $25k HU event a little bit. Play was really good as far as i could tell. Some really long matches. I think in the final hand Sifosis was just too tired to get way from this.

Movie I want to see by DustySwedeDude, September 13

1. Falling Down 2: Falling Downer

20 years after D-fen's kid lost her father she goes on a killing spree. Preferably played by Megan Fox and with some nudity to compensate for the fact that the story will suck compared to the first one and it's hard to get the standard of acting set by Duvall and Douglas.

On another note I can't wait till december so that I can post my yearly graph. It's like the most swingy shit I've seen, heh.

Reflections by Xervean, September 13

Ok so im sitting here at work on my 26th birthday, its very slow and I began reflecting on the last few years. I began wondering what my life would be like if I had never read rekruls poker story on team liquid and gotten the sickness. I began wondering what I would be doing right now. I thought long and hard about all of the ups and downs and agony that I have gone through in poker. And then I realized that none of it matters. Theres no reason for me to create my own personal hell. No reason for me to cry and complain about having thousand dollar swings. Its like rekrul once said, that we are all in a very fortunate position to be able to make money clicking a mouse on a computer. Everyone in life has to deal with suffering. This is one of the noble truths dictated by the Buddha. My goal for the next year of my life is to begin freeing myself from suffering. To be able to play poker without it causing pain in my life.

Back in school and stuff by barbieman, September 13

I'm back in school after a two year hiatus, doing a one year base course of natural science. It consists of math, biology, chemistry and physics. The goal is to study and become a biologist so I can push for a legalization of marijuana in Sweden. There's no one in the swedish media pushing for it and who better than a biologist, right?

It's sort of nice to really do something instead of just playing poker, being with friends, smoking weed and stuff like that whenever i want to. School itself isn't bad, but it makes everything that's not related to school ten times better, you need the sour to appreciate the sweet. The worst thing is that I haven't had any time to play poker so far, I could've made time but I've instead chosen to just relax or study on my free time instead playing poker and studying. A good choice imo since it makes my life alot better.

I've been trying some HU since don't have much time because of school, I've played like 2-3h. My opponents so far has been really bad and easy to exploit.. hopefully most players on nl50 hu are :D. I'm up about $20 but I haven't even played 500 hands.

Today was the first day in 2 weeks I played some 6max, my plan was to play nl100 but there weren't too many really juicy tables so i took a look at nl200 which had alot of juicy tables . I opened up a mix of nl100 and 200 tables which soon became 4 nl200 tables. The games were much softer than nl100 on weekdays, i ran good overall and was lucky with picking up TPGK hands vs. the right opponents, made some semi big bluffs which all worked and I was lucky with the flop textures on a lot of flops which enabled me to take down alot of pots with a cbet.

I did however lose the biggest pot I have ever played:

He was playing 24/14/7 after 50 hands and had been playing really fast postflop, I thought he'd try to get it in on the flop with TPTK or any draw so I was pretty happy to get it in. My read on his range was right but unfortunately I didn't win this one. Still ended the day +300 after 600 hands so I'm still very happy with the result, and how i played.

Sigh... by MayZerG, September 13

This is starting to get annoying... 14 BI difference, how the hell does this happen at 50nl, never had so many suckouts in my life lol.

From top to bottom 22 BI swing. Having friends review alot of my big pots because im starting to question my game (which is the last thing i should be doing, considering how bad everyone is at these limits). So ya, thanks to the people who are helping me get through this.

Wish me luck i guess?
