Running very well by bigbb33, January 23

Been hitting a lot of flops, getting high variance calls right a high % of the time, but also playing well.

BR is now at $1185, and I'm considering playing around a bit at 50 NL.

My last few days graph (in the box):

Session 8 by Kapol, January 23

Yeah! At last a really good session arrived . No stupid moves (except for one, but it wasn't very stupid) and, what's most important, I started to play my good hands much more agressively on the flop. And it really works!

Hands: 1,350
Balance: +$156.35
Total hands: 7,906
Total balance: +$125.75

Didnt play any online poker today. I wasnt going to play at all, but after getting done watching the movie "The Birth of a Nation" (Holy shit, I have never seen a longer, more boring, or more racist movie in my life) for film class, I by chance bump into a friend of a friend who is looking for people to come play poker in his nightly game.

I'm like, "Sure, I'll play. How much are you guys playing for?" to which he replies, "Just like $10." So about a half an hour later I am sitting at this guys' friends appartment watching womans wrestling waiting for the game to start.

When it finally did, it was all business for the rest of the night. I had played with a few of these guys once before and knew they were not too good. All I had to do was play solid and I was pretty much garunteed money.

And so it went, me folding away all my trash, stealing the blinds when I could, ect. Nothing super exciting.

[I dont feel like telling the rest of the story in detail. I was just practicing for english class anyway. Turns out the guy who was chip leader got QQ over TT once, AA over AK another time, AA against top pair, and topped all that by hitting a royal flush!. I was chip leader for the longest time until my AJ got busto by AT. That dropped me down to third, but I doubled up through second place a couple hands later, effectively putting me in second and him in last. It remained 3 handed for 2 hours, so we just decided to split the pot 40/40/20.]

I was please with my play, never really losing a big hand (besides AJ vs AT), and making some sick reads that would have been impossible online.

Overall, I made a few more friends, got access into an easy regular game, and built back up my confidence from losing most of my roll sunday. Hurray!

ok day by jonyy6788, January 22

Played some NL25 today and that started well, but then I got pwned by calling stations and a little tilt. Decided to go play NL50 and made over a buy-in. Also made a little bit playing PLO again.

Total Hands: 988
Profit: $55.30
Bonus: $13.42
RB: ~$10

Current Roll: $1200

In light of recent events and the impending possibility of doomsday, I plan on taking a shot at NL100 once I hit $2500 and continuing to play until I hit $2,000 or win.

Posting cause I can by legendofxix, January 22

So I played some poker today. Wasn't a whole lot. Something like 750 hands at NL10.
Yea its low stakes but I simply don't have time to do a massive grind to get to the high stakes. Schools more important than poker is (at least for now. I could pull a Tom(as in TalentedTom).
I broke even, which is okay I guess. When it comes to my BR, it swings pretty crazily.

Anyways, after poker I do my usualy internet browsing and heres what I came across today.

Russians + Wii + Time = Morons + Wasted Time
This link wasn't too funny but it demonstrated what Leisure Suit Larry will probably be like when it hits the Wii.

Heres what I found was Hillarious. Everyone knows that Vista is coming out soon and stores are prepping areas for them to be sold. What happens here is....oh man..I'll let the picture speak for itself.

So long to sales!

Breakeven morning by Trey, January 22

http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/5431/0001tr.jpg

A few hands:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135689 - obv this hand plays itself
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135690 - semi-bluff ftw
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135691 - villain is pretty pissed at me after the above set over set
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135692 - standard

and then we go back on our downward spike..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135693 - villain and I have a lot of history, pretty unfortunate hand.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135694 - ugh, on turn I really thought villain had a draw just by the way he thought about it before he called, I just couldn't fold.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135695 - pretty gay blind v blind situation. I could've folded the turn though.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135697 - fuck shortstacks
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135698 - villain and I have a LOT of history, I've been 3betting and 4betting him a lot. I decided to see a flop here with a somewhat disguised hand, and I figured he didn't hit the flop.. unfortunately tptk is the nuts.

weeeeeeeeeeee by shaneomac, January 22

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 236 hands and saw flop:
- 19 out of 44 times while in big blind (43%)
- 6 out of 45 times while in small blind (13%)
- 25 out of 147 times in other positions (17%)
- a total of 50 out of 236 (21%)

played a tiny session when i woke up cuz i had nothing to do and have been really frustrated w poker the last few days for various reasons(probly not the best motivation to actually play). so i sit down with a sorta negative mindset due to the past few days and right off the bat like 25 hands in i flop bottom set on a Ac7x5x board and i bet into the guy in pos. he flats. turn Kc and i bet 22 into a 33 dollar pot, and he repops to 88...not @ this pt something in my head was telling me to fold cuz whats he trying to represent that he wouldnt have gotten it in on the flop...and that K solidifies in his mind that ive got AK so i CANT fold @ this point holding AK...so his raise is only because he really believes ive got AK...so in hindsight i probly shouldve folded but i push and he calls and shows 77 obv and i had 55 set overset...sucked...lik2 one or 2 hands later tho this happens: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135569
which was straight up sexy. so that puts me up a buyin for the session which was much needed for my mindset and always nice for the BR. so a few hands later on another table i flat KQs on button to preflop raiser and SB calls and flop comes KhTsxh he bets out 20 i minraise to 40 to see where im @ he flats it. now if hes got AK he pushes hands down. turn K he shoves i call riv blank he shows KJ i flip KQ another buyin=). so a few hands later im UTG with AA @ a table w a few SS and i raise it up get button ss caller and BB (ss) raises to 28 so i think and i flat call to get the button involved too. both being ss shit was tight yo. so flop comes 22Q which isnt too scary cuz im going to pay him off regardless. i was actually hoping hed push cuz then hes got KK or JJ if he does cuz QQ being ss wouldnt push there imo...so he pushes 52 bux and i flat and button folds, turn J riv Q...=/ right. well anything i had him on now beats me other than KK...he flips TT so i rake another pretty nice pot. i finished up over 600 in 236 hands or so. good way to start the day

GG 25/50 and some pictures by Daut, January 22

So I have finished my first week at 25/50 with some pretty good results.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/firstweek2550.JPG

I made a few adjustments to adapt better to the game and things are going really well there. I dont know if i can sustain a winrate that good, but I'm very certain im one of the biggest winners in the 7-9 handed games.

I also drew a few pictures and would like to share them with you. So my ex's sister was having problems with her eye, she has a corneal ulcer. I was having some eye problems too, i was seeing those little transparent eyeworms and they were really bugging the shit out of me. here's a picture of one:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/eyeworm.JPG

pretty scary. i also drew a picture of king kong getting shot at on top of the empire state building. basically the most awesome picture of all time.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/bestpictureever.JPG

im getting fairly good with paint and it's a lot of fun to draw stupid things when i get bored. ill post more pictures later

Ahh, so I tried cash games today instead of tournaments...
bad idea
I lost 2/3s of my bankroll >.< It seemed like people were sucking out on me left and right, chasing things that they should not have been, ect. At least in a tournament, if someone sucks out on you, you only lose at most the buyin.
whatever
Back to grinding the turbo's tommorow, it seems.

My Daily Stats
Starting Bankroll - $226.46
Net Profit/Loss - -$140.05
Ending Bankroll - $86.41

I played in the LP tournament also, earlier today. I was chip leader when everyone combined for the final table, but made a few bad judgement calls and lost a few coinflips and got out 7th or something dumb like that. Congrats to my pall Meatball (Schmitz87), though, for making the money in both the tourny and the flipament.

Donkaments are fun, NL $100 is next by RAHZero, January 21

After getting back to school Saturday, I wasn't really in the mood to play any poker, just hung out, catching up and stuff with friends here.

Today, I started out playing some donkaments. I satted in to the $200+$15 $200,000 guaranteed at UB (almost won two seats, finished 14th in the one I missed when KK < AKs AIPF, top 9 got seats). I actually planned on unregistering for that and taking the T$, but came back at halftime of the Bears-Saints game and was too late to unregister.

I played pretty well, made it deep before I went card dead, and wound up in 80th for a cash of $400, which put me over my BR goal of $3k for moving up to NL $100.

After that, I played just a little NL $50, and ran decently, picking up $34.55 in about 150 hands. My BR is now about $3200, and I'll be taking a shot at NL $100 starting tomorrow. Tomorrow's also my first day of classes, so I'll probably be cutting down on my playing time in the near future, but I'll hopefully be able to keep grinding out a decent number of hands.
