| | Good Poker Day by Critterer, February 06
Woke up today and after doing some stuff in town decided to have a 2 hour session of grinding 6 tables.
Ii managed to win a full 5 buyins in only a 2 hour session! Everything went right for me pretty much, got paid off on my flushes, hit boats when i needed too etc. Just nice to have a great session again.
Also to top it off went round a mates house where 5 of us played a bit of £5 buyin and i came first for the massive prize of £20!
So all round a good day of poker!

Here's what's been happening since my last blog.
I was running extremely well, then since I posted my last blog, 10nl 6max hasn't been going so well.
I decided to go back to FR and just nutpeddle like everyone else.
I've been getting a lot of bad luck.
My BR has been moving consistently along with how my luck has been running. Of course, I am spewing and making bad plays once in a while, but as soon as luck returns my way, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to beat 10nl FR easily.
I'm planning on being over rolled for 25nl FR. Maybe 700-800, then I'll return to 6max.
Wish me luck =D

| | Climbing out!!! by capaneo, February 06
yeah, finally! After a LOOOOOOOOOOONG period of bad luck+donk plays I finally managed to break the resistance level at my 200nl career! Another news is that there is a HUGE chance I would go for making SNElite by DEC-07.
Here is an all time 200nl graph!
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l273/capaneo/breakout.jpg
I also decided to get this with my FPP points using the CS service!
(Note that the Dial color is actually black not blue)

VPP=88.5K
I'm just a little tiny shy here from makin it elite but hopefully it will work out by DEC
The verybad news is that probably I won't be able to play that much this week since I have a VERY VERY hard math midterm(Differential equation)
Lets hope the uptreand on my graph continues!

| | Introducion by ConquistadoR, February 06
Hey everybody, welcome to my little blog!
Here is my poker story for those of you who are interested. Ill try to keep it shortly :
I'm a former nl200-400 stakes player that has started from 5 dollars and has built his br within pretty much 1 year. (Started in 2005 november or december to play seriously, before that i did some playmoney, freerolls, etc.)
I kinda crushed every stake i played and have made some very nice profit in the last year. In november + december, i had kind of a long long bad run, but both months still were profitable at least.
Cashed out a lot at these times, and before that as well, to pay for my expensive lifestyle and thought i could never start losing over longer periodes at poker. Big mistake, i spent so much money on nothing, while stunting my bankroll enourmously. Nevertheless, life was great.
So at the start of this year i was playing nl200 with pretty much 20 buyins, had a bad start and dropped like 5-6 buyins directly at the first session this year. Ofc i refused to move down, very very bad.
So i basically managed to lose a big part of my br on these stakes, then i was even underolled for nl100, still i played it. Made a big part of my roll back, but then started losing it again. At least 3-4 times this has repeated itself. Well, to cut a long story short, i am currently down to 450$ since today (new down record) losing the last hundreds in various games such as nl 50 and nl 25.
Dont really know what to do anymore feeling kinda lost, but i hope this blog can help me a bit with releasing anger, etc and just write down my feelings, and results etc. Ill try to put in interesting subjects as well. So this blog is dedicated to my process in (hopefully) rebuilding my br, moving back up in stakes, and rebuilding/improving my player abilities. I just hope i will manage to get back to my old limits again, i know that i can beat them.
GO ME! Wish me gl.

| | running like shit - why not? by SneakrFreakr, February 06
Ugh I've just finished a terrible session. I thing I've never seen that many suckouts and setups in 3-4 hours. I almost never post my beats etc. but this was just rudiculous. I played a few hands badly and I probably should've folded a couple of times but I just couldn't believe that I may lose to so many setups in one session. I dropped almost 5 buyins and I'm not worried about the many, I'm not angry. Just a bit pissed off cause everything was starting to look good but it couldn't last too long. I had to lose about 5 buyins. I'm still in a good mood and in 2 hrs I'm going to the casino. I'll take £400 with me (2 full buyins) as I don't feel like risking to lose more after such a bad day online. But don't worry guys - I'll get my money back in the evening or tommorow
Here are my stats from today:
http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/5643/69001577ya3.jpg
And some "interesting" hand histories (I'll try to stop posting beats etc. from now on):
1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142736
Probably a very bad call.
2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142739
Another one.
3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142740
Luckily I lost just $20.
4. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142741
5. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142742
6. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142744
I know he had a good chance to win but I hate when I make a good read and end up losing anyway.
7. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142747
There are more but I just can't remember them so I'll finish here. There is one hand I had a lot of trouble with. First I'll post a hand that happened a few mins before the one I played: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142748
And this is my hand: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142749
What's your play on the river? Villain's stats: 25.7/17/1. No reads. Any comments appreciated.

| | Crise in poker and life. by anon, February 06
So today i came back after university really motivated and having like 5 hours of free time, which i felt like spending on playing poker. Session started calmly, i was a bit up, but then after 15 minutes of playing i lost a hand that i really needed to win to feel a bit self confident again: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142700 . Now i was a bit angry, but i still had a clear mind. Cold decks were killing me and finally i made a really foolish bluff vs shorty: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142701 . Now i felt tilty and should have left the poker after 20 minutes of playing. But i still kept playing and my game now was total joke now:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142702 - after long period of cold decks i finally hit a top pair! So my pair of jacks on flop felt like the truely nutssssss. And on the river i instantly called not even looking at the size of bet cuz i had the *NUTS* Now feeling really tilty i kept playing. I made a sick *read* on the guy - http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142703
Then it was followed by this: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142704 The guy is total donk, but i didn't liked the river, but still bet, again feeling like my QQ is the nuts since there was no Ace or King on the flop! WOW sick luck!
Now being on heavy tilt, i finally hit a really weird hand(by weird i mean the fact that i hit a set). I missclicked on the flop, and when turn came i was just laughting out loud and saying to myself NOT AGAIN. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142706 ofcourse i called being on tilt. Lost some more hands like this, today i was playing like total idiot and i was even ashamed to post these hands on the blog, forced myself to show how long lasting tilt can fuck persons minds, ofcourse not everyones, but atleast mines. So despite the huge downswing before today i doubled my loses, started with 8400$ in the morrning and ended with 6883$.
Ok, poker not going well, mostly of awful play and tilt. But today i had a basketball match that i was really looking forward, i burned a music DVD cd went to the car put it to my audio/video equiptment on the highest volume and went to the city just to drive out my tilt and listen to the music. There it was the basketball match, i came to warm up feeling really shitty, had pain in my back, chest and legs. No clue why, might of nerves? So basically i was just a shade of myself in the court, dunno scored some points but made a lot mistakes and didn't make some easy shots.
Overally life isn't going my way nowadays. Having some health problems, which are really annoying and doctors says i am fine, poker isn't going my way, from team leader in the basketball i turned in to the shade of myself basically scoring twice as less as i used to. And the anger i really have no clue where is it comming, my poker tilt? During the match today after missed shots i was cursing loud, shouting on referees etc for what i was warned. At the end of the match i missed a shot and then made a foul, i was totally angry now and threw ball away, and got technical foul, for which i will have to pay myself.
Here are some photos of the match, poor quality but still:

| | Dear UB... by RAHZero, February 06
Dear UB,
Please turn off the doom switch. Seriously.
Sincerely,
RAHZero
God, every time things start to look up I get raped by the riggedaments at UB. Won a huge pot with JJ vs. AK and 33 on a KJ3 flop to get back near even for the session, and not 2 minutes later I get KK vs. AA. Earlier I was up and then lost KK AIPF against AJo. Somehow I managed to still finish up $20 for the session. Graph below:
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2051/feb5lt8.jpg
Oh yeah, and I missed two huge combo draws again. 9c8c on a Jx6c5c flop and Ad4d on a 7x5d2d flop. Will try making a video tonight, didn't work last night (got no audio).

| | New poker room by SneakrFreakr, February 06
So on Sunday I played a quick 4-tabling session. At the same time I was doing some completely different stuff so I wasn't focused at all. Because of that I've made a few bad plays. Luckily I ended up down only about $10. Won't happen anymore.
YEsterday I decided that now, since I'm playing for a living for the next couple of months, I should get some guaranteed money every month, so apart from rakeback it'd be good to get some bonuses. That's why I signed up at Absolute Poker. 30% rakeback + 100% up to $750 bonus. I don't mind extra 7 buyins this month. The bad thing is that I hate the software at this room. I can't see anything clearily, even betting is somehow fucked up. But the good part is that all shorthanded tables are 200bb deep and the players are pretty bad (today I had two guys on the same table with stats like 70/10 to my right and 55/6 to my left and all of them had quite decent stacks). I noticed that it's possible to change the skins so I need to get a really plain one. I played 6 tables and I was running very mediocre and was outdrawn a few times. I had to finish quite early cause a friend of mine rang me and asked if I mind having a few beers at his place. As you know I just couldn't say no. Here are my stats from this session:
http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/4201/20698139dg5.jpg
And just a few hand histories:
1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142621
Talking about max value, huh? Well I think that if I played this hand less agressively he would fold the river for sure. But I was betting and raising hard and I just pushed the river into him to make it look like a total bluff and after taking 20 seconds he called. Ship it! By the way he was pretty donkish as well with stats like 38/7 and he really wanted to bust me. He was calling almost every time I raised.
2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142623
Standard.
3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/142624
Luckily just a 40bb pot.
When I came back from my friend's place yesterday I decided to wait till 2:45am when the new episode of PRison Break is uploaded after airing in the US. I was falling asleep every 5 minutes but I managed to wait untill almost 3am and started downloading. Today I woke up about 1pm and watched the new episode of Prison Break and Heroes (which I started downloading in the morning). Both were pretty cool and I can't wait till the next Tuesday (at least new episode of High Stakes Poker should be online tommorow).
Now I think it's time to get out of my bed, take a shower, eat sth and play some poker. Well maybe I should also do the laundry and clean my room a bit? Yeah, we'll see. Since I'm not working tommorow I think I might go to the casino today to play some cash games. I made a bet with my friend. The one that will play the most in February (in terms of hours - both online and live) will be the winner. I don't know what's the prize but that's not really important. I also want February to be my most profitable month so far (and I think it's easily doable with rakeback and $750 bonus). So let's stop wasting time and get back to playing.

God this blog thing is difficult. Whenever Im running bad I feel like a whiny ungreatful whore. And now that Im running well I feel like a bragging faggot and I pray every night that rekrul wont read this.
I should fill my posts with interesting hands and shit but Im way to lazy to do that, and in all honesty, this blog exists for two reasons. For me to have somewhere to whine and blow off steam when Im running bad, and to share the joy and brag when Im running well.
I can honestly say that this is the best run I have even been on in my short but intense poker career. Combine that with my nice 3,5k tournament cash and you have a roll that has almost trippled in size in under two weeks.
Anyways, here are my stats on partypoker so far(yes, I removed the hands i had on 400nl, they where totally destroying the pretty picture)

| | College Drop Out by Svenman87, February 06
First I'd like to say... COUNT CHOCULA IS THE BEST CEREAL EVER?
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e167/Norwegian87/IMG_3137.jpg
Over the past week i have been on the edge of dropping out of college. My first semesters grade was far from great... And this semester wasn't off to a great foot either.
I just decided its best to cut my losses and drop out. I'll be getting 50% tuition back which is better than nothing I suppose.
At the moment I'm at my mom's house for a while, in a few days I'll go back to college and pick up all my stuff and bring it home.
I'll hopefully find a job relitively soon. In the meantime I think I will put in some sick sessions in poker. My roll has been on the edge of jumping up to 100NL for about a week now and I just want to bust 2K so I can finally take some serious shots.
At the moment I usually 12 Table 50NL Full Ring which helps pass the time, but I still find myself with a lot of downtime... I wish I could play another 4 tables :-(
Anyways I'll update everyone in a few days with the jobs/my quest for 100NL

I like to play over-rolled. Cashed out most of my roll last september that I built up off of Satellite to Sunday wins on stars.
I've now started learning the dynamics of 6-max cash-games. Goal is to play about 40-50k hands per month. Managed only 10k in my first month but starting to step it up now as I get more comfortable. My goal is to ascend the stakes as quickly as possible and reach 100NL by June. Debating whether to split my roll once I hit 50NL and take advantage of UB rakeback/softness of the games there.
January 7th Starting BR: $250.00
Stake 5NL
Feb 5th BRL: $366.28
Stake 10NL
Goal: Start 25NL March 1st, BR Needed = $1000.00

Day 1: Feb 5, 2007
Start: $30.20
Close: $37.32
Profit: $7.12
So today I am going to start my poker blog with a little over $30. I started two weeks ago with the $50 PP deal, and brought it up to $80 by the second day (I declined the bonus $25 after learning it would only stay in my account for a month. In hindsight, a bad decision). Last week, I lost over $50 to a mix of bad beats, bad plays, and overall just really bad luck. I am now learning more, and playing better and a little more conservatively with a low bank roll.
This blog will serve as a log of my daily gains for now, until I learn more about the game and can post stats or whatever.

i hate fucking going through the motions. it seems like all i ever do in my life is go through the motions. i wake up, go to class, play poker or halo2, and then i go to sleep. i wake up the next day and do the same shit all over again. its just a vicious cycle and i hate it. i need something new in my life, be it a girl or different friends or something. i really have no idea what, but ive really been needing it for a long time coming. i dont play that much poker now that school has started. its a combination of having other things to do and having work. life is pretty lame and has seemed it for a long while for anyone who knows me. hopefully i can find something or double my bankroll or whatnot. who knows. i wish my liferut would end. its been like 9 months already lol. plz lee?
