It got too cold in Tallanasty so I decided to drive back home this weekend. This means I have absolutely NOTHING to do but play poker and browse websites. So, I played 2k+ hands on today and went from 884 to 800, then up to 950. I had the most ridiculous bad beats today, one after another, but somehow still came up. I think I played pretty solid, I was able to adapt vs. different villains and played very aggressive (something I have been working on for SH). I would like to show some hands but the UB hand history system is extremely gay. is there a way I can request my hand history?
Im not gonna give u my life story here, so im just gonna start this blog from today on.
Hit a downswing at 100NL so i had to drop down at 50NL and grind it out from there, which i dont mind really. Here's the graph.
A hot friday night, me and some friends decided to head along over to the Crown Casino which apparently is a "WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT" and i had my doubts after working there for just under a year before quitting.
Insert picture i found of the flames outside crown: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/7349/casinofirekh6.jpg
So karma/luke rocked up to my place at about 9.30pm, pokerdoc/jonno was at spencer street station which is near crown at 9.45 and a good friend of ours who'd just came back from china after a year of "study" was just leaving home. We were supposed to be at crown at 9.30. Jonno called, and after finding out luke and i were still home sitting idly doing nothing headed over to Crown by himself to wait for us, such a degenerate; the evidence keeps piling up.
We managed to get ourselves all there by about 10.30pm and were pleasantly suprised to find that the electronic "pokerpro" tables had upped the max buyin's to a more respectable 50BB so .50/1 was 50 dorra and 1/2 was 100. This was from the previous 20 dollar for .50/1 and 50 dollar for 1/2.
Most of the tables were really quite full and we wanted to sit together so luke justeen and i sat on a .50/1 table and waited for people to come play. Jonno coz his such a faggot nit went and sat over at a 1/2 table.
Some guys came, and i wasn't really getting any decent hands although still up 18BB's (18 dollars to my non poker friends reading this) after about an hour. Luke proved once again why he wins at poker with his no pair flush draw shove against Justeen on the turn who made the call and still got sucked out on, bad beetz story.
It was only the beginning of a bad beatz story for justeen as later he proceeded to get it all in with luke again for a 150 pot on a K K A 10 board luke with K 5 justeen with K 3, river a sick two outter 5.
As for jonno, after the first intial hour he'd been basically "card dead" although i have my suspicions this was probably just a result of how nitty he was playingso was blinded down a bit. BUT then i sat down on his left, and the good luck charm i am, things started picking up for him, damn why couldn't he get stacked.
I think the only hand i remember from Jonno from this time was he stacked some guy in a limped pot with J 9 against 10 2, board not exactly in this order: K Q 10 2 X yeah retarded huh? one better than top pair never fails in a limped pot.
Anyway jonno after getting his stack up to about 250+? or something of the like moved over to join luke and justeen who had sat down at another .50/1 table behind us leaving me by myself.
Immediately i picked up QQ, yeah thats right jonno was sucking up my luckz. And some guy was immediately "OMG HE HAS ACES" since i hadnt' been playing much hands and everyone folded to him and he still called me with Q 8 and got stacked on an 8.
Pity he was short with like 30, yes i'm still crying myself to sleep about it.
I then pulled a BLUFF on someone, this guy had a 340 dollar stack after starting with like 50 dollars and looked pretty nervous about it.
Anyway i raised with AQ to 14 after 2-3 ppl had limped before me on the button or 1 away and it was to him in the BB. He called and everyone else folded which was suprising since most of the time i'd def be in a 4 way in this situation.
Flop came 6 6 3 rainbow, he checked and i bet 28 into 30 dollar pot (yeah 10 percent rake sucks) and he called, turn came a J and he checked and i bet again for 65 or thereabouts and he called once again after thinking for a lil bit zomg. River was pretty much a blank 9 or 8 i think and he checked again and i shoved my 136 remaining in, this was probably retarded and i will be flamed for this.
However at the time i was so sure he would fold since i damn sure he was scared of overpairs, the J etc which meant i put him 77-1010, X 3 and was pretty sure since he'd just won a fair bit of money he didn't want to lose it all and would be tighter than usual.
He folded and i showed AQ for the BLUFFZ mwhahaha and everyone was kind of silent about it so i kinda yelled out SHIP IT HOLLER , yeah bad manner but personally at the poker table i think its okay to do anything you want, within reason.
Anyway lost a bit after that mostly raises and then cont missing or giving up with a 5 way with my AK, oh and the guy who i bluffed basically went on monkey tilt after and lost everything in the next 10 hands. Although to his credit he did top pair in one of the losses.
Most retarded hand of the night for me, was my 10 10 UTG. i limped yes limped stfu i didn't feel like raising i'm sorry and 3-4 people also limped and BB mini raised.
I called and someone re-mini raised after limping wtf, anyway pretty much everyone called and flop came A 10 X yay, kinda scary with 2 clubs but otherwise meh. I checked, limp mini re-raiser checked and BB raised to like 10 into a 35 dollar pot, I reraised to 45 and get an instant call from fag mini re-raiser and a fold from the BB, turn blanks and i shove and get instantly called by AK and everyone at the table was OH my GOD AK loses there is no justice and bitched about how hard it was to play AK and how that was such a set up etc. i obviously joined in agreement awwwww poor AK , and shortly after moved to join the other guys.
I once again showed myself to be a classy classy guy when i picked up AJ raised, some guy called with Q 10 and flop J J 10 i raised he reraised and i shoved he took a lil while to call asking me do i have a j and obviously my faggot friends saying he doesnt have it ever.
I was basically "oh i ALWAYS have it, SHIP IT ZOMG!" "dude just FOLD next time i'm ALWAYS in front" etc etc until i was quitened down by my friends.
There was a guy to my right though who seemed like a nice guy like he was just stuffing around and kept sucking out until he got to about 300, lost a bit to me and the rest to everyone else. The times he did get sucked out on, he was never bitched, i mean not that he could since he'd sucked out 5 times consecutively and didnt' fold a hand for an hour. Anyway cbf typing up more hands, since i'm still damn tired from last night and most of the stuff i've typed it so poorly written i'm going to have problems editing it if i can be stuffed.
If anyone actually gives a shit and wants jonno's or lukes take on the night they'll proly chuck up a blog post in the next couple of days, just look for karma and pokerdoc in blogs.
The hours were probably the best times i've had at the casino, not so much winning a lot as just sitting there having friends to trash talk with discuss random shit with and just generally pay each other out for winning/losing/folding everything. Definetly got to do it again, SHIP IT HOLLLAAAA ZOMG BED TIME!!!
oh and happy chinese new years everyone. insert chinese new year picture which i can't be bothered finding atm.
So I noticed my boy cosmo had a blog, and I figured I should be sweet like him and start my own. Holla
My name is Pat G, I am pretty fucking baller. I live in cleveland ohio. I fuck mass bitches, drink, smoke etc. I am awesome. I am also pretty awesome at poker, holla.
I play 1/2 and 2/4 when im sober, and 5/10+ when im drunk. I am a huge bankroll nit. I am pretty awesome at cash games. I am also pretty awesome at mtts. I go on monkey tilt daily. But, I pwn poker so its all good, holla.
Ill eventually post cool shit
Here is a hand where I owned 4gotmepass aka mcflurry the baller. He had been playing like a monkey and I knew the only hands he was betting the river with were a set or a straight, maybe top 2. I didnt believe him, went with it, and pwned his ass, obv. My shove was for value.
Today was my first stab at NL100, only played a really small sample (muhweli style) and i ended up +133$ at it, i also ran well on NL50! I'm actually trying to figure out what would be the exact good spots to 3 bet light, i've started doing it quite more lately and so far it's paying off well.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/147005 well i think this hand was kind of a spew since it was a 360bb pot, that guy could maybe have folded if he had some discipline, i considered that the fact i was kind of deepstack would scare him off.. it did not! and well the only hands that really beats me here imo were AA/KK
so i moved up thinking i'd make a little money but after a little bit over 1k hands i was up 4 buyins...now i need some dinner and then im going out,,,,,PEACE
Heyo, so I' m starting my own poker blog here! It's mostly for pure egoistic purposes as posting graphs and results and having a place to overlook the past time.
I will also try to post some interesting hands from time to time or even write something informative! I' m not much of a talker (I mostly lurk on TL & LP.net, and only make posts when I can't resist).
Some history on me: My name is Tycho (surprise) and I started playing BW when I was 11 (I' m 19 now) so I guess I grew up with gaming. Been in the same clan as Twisted (pR), haven' t done much in the bw community besides being an above average gamer.
Poker was only natural to follow up, looked up lp.net when it was created and got interested. Lost the Partypoker promotion in May 2006, played around with small deposits between May - August, then decided to take it a serious shot. Started off with $3 SNG's, placed 2nd in some $4 MTT SNG's, then played $6 SNG's / NL10 till October or something --> Pretty regular, thanks Oxy for the guides! Then switched to cashgames @ NL25, and starting learning some ABC poker (still learning ).
In November I got to 1000$, right now I have ~ 3800, and almost cleared the FT bonus. Planning on moving to Stars NL100 FR soon, I guess I' ll see some LP people there!
so i figured out how not to tilt and now have 217...i didnt wanna play NL10 till about 250 but i have decided to dablle in the games. I am extremely happy that i have become basically as nitty as the mexican doomer. So gl with all ur play i just wanted to post this to show the community that i have made progress!
After thinking for a little bit, I figured I might as well play 3/6NL for a few days to see how quickly I can adjust to a new game. First day was kind of unusual I was playing CTS and running solo heads up. I was completley decimating solo, he has a ton of leaks in his game and is/was very easily exploitable. CTS is a little more solid and aggresive but he runs like god. He kept hitting sets against my TPTK in reraised pots eg. AcKc v JJ flop = AJc4c this happened a few times. But I also had my share of monsters too. He finished +1 buy in or so(meaningless difference) but it was fun finally playing against a decent player.
As for the other 3/6 regulars - none of them seem to be super-b players some more solid than others but overall there is no one I would avoid / no one I don't think I have a substancial edge over.
Yesturday was kind of an eve-ish session because I was getting a lot of setup hands + I was being sucked out (yes KK v AA happened a few times but I don't complain)
I reviewed some of my hands and plays form yesturday, and I changed my style up a little to something I thought will better fit the 3/6NL game and I got decent results today despite even being sucked out in a few massive pots eg. AK v AJ all in pre, or KK v JJ (he hit the J on the river and a few more which I neglect to mention.
Today's session was not too long - I will save my energy for the weekend games which I beleive are the softest times of the week.

This is somwhat of a "fancy" play - I don't do this very often because that would be considered spewing but I decided to mix it up this one time. Flop check in position almost always means I have absolutley nothing and I am giving up I figured I would indude a bluff on the turn from one of them. To my surprise they both checked (Apparently no one has anything) I figured any draw / pair would take a stab at this point. So I decided to make a "stealer" raise a bet designed to look like I have nothing but I am trying to pick up the pot because obviously no one else wants it.
I get check-raised, so I figure I induced a bluff - I think 3 betting would be attrocious so I decided to call and call almost any river bet and repop a river bet if I think it was weak. Since he checked I figured he was on a bluf and I decide to make a very small 1/2 pot value bet and he insta-calls with 77. I figured I could/should have made a slightly larger bet somehwere in the range of 200 but it's still fine.
Yesterday was a pretty standard day, nothing too interesting. I sucked out vs. a short stack with QQ vs. KK AIPF, but got sucked out vs. a shorty w/ JJ all-in vs. AQ on a rag flop, so those two more or less canceled out. Other than that, just a solid day, got paid off nicely with a set of fives vs. AK on a K5x flop, actually played a bit HU vs. a fish and stacked him with AK vs. K9 on a K-high board. Could have been a little better, lost one flip AIPF with AK against QQ vs. a solid player, but oh well, those are the breaks. Pretty happy with my play overall, I'm definitely opening up my game a lot more and it's paying off. I'm no longer a nitty 16/12 or whatever, my VP$IP was dangerously close to 20 yesterday (19.88), and I keep finding spots to add new hands to raise PF. Watching a lot of videos of LAGs has helped, I really think I still need to open my game up a lot more, as that seems to be very profitable especially at higher levels. Also cleared 2,000 points for the week for UB points for cash, which got me a bonus of $150+
Day 5 totals:
+$85.60 in 1,288 hands of NL $50.
+$156.95 in bonus (UB points for cash)
Current BR: $2,994
Overall stats:
+$323.15 in 8,561 hands of NL $50
+$156.95 in bonuses / RB
I started by playing ultra tight (like 8/6) on 4 tables just to get used to pot sizes, raise sizes etc.
After like 700hands I added 2 tables and opened my game a little bit and actually played few hands
Still I'm sure I need to gain confidence to play my mainly style (TAG not TOTALNIT ) that I used on FTP.
Hope tomorrow I will have a chance to try it again, with better result (and I don't mean won amount).
Pacific (ocean full of fishes) Pokerby PetrBlaha, February 16
Today I couldn't get up for school so I've decided to play poker all morning. I've managed to get really great image on some tables so when I pushed with QQ some guy called me with J6o (stupidy + tilt ftw ). It is SOOOO easy there, it's almost like printing money.
/me waiting for something to fuck up my progress
Anyways, I'm leaving to my GF's house today so no more poker for me until Sunday
Take care guys

So I played about 3k hands today. Last night I lost 2 buy-ins before i went to sleep so i was pissed about that. But today I played through the bad beats and ended up a little bit after getting anally raped most of the day. So thats good that I can finally play through bad beats.
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3007 hands and saw flop:
- 203 out of 385 times while in big blind (52%)
- 34 out of 383 times while in small blind (8%)
- 183 out of 2239 times in other positions (8%)
- a total of 420 out of 3007 (13%)
Pots won at showdown - 65 of 103 (63%)
Pots won without showdown - 149
Today I played some NL50 6max for about an hour 6 tabling. I was down the whole session and felt like crap (I apparently hate 6 max with a passion). Then I got a few pots to go my way. Best hand of the session was when QQ hit a set against trip K's for $70 against a LAGtard.
Took a pretty good break as I'm really really tired....stupid school. I wanna dropout! That would be mega -lifeEV though.
8-tabled NL25 FR after my break. I was doing well and then donked off about $12 in a semi-tilt right at the end of the session.
Running bad, playing badby SneakrFreakr, February 15
I ran really bad today and played not good as well and this resulted in another -4 buyin session. I'm losing tons in reraised pots. Lately I've been 3betting (and even 4betting) lightly but I think it's just not +ev at nl100. I lost so much in reraised pots (mostly the scenario is like this: I reraise preflop, cbet flop and fold to a push or villain calls and I check/fold blank turn) that it's just ridiculous. Tommorow I might not play at all. I need to clear my mind after a few bad sessions. No poker tommorow should work for me. Switching poker rooms would be a good idea as well. Not gonna post any hand histories as there's nothing interesting to see. I need to concentrate more during the game and stop trying to outplay and outhink everyone as I'm just spewing money because of it. I'm almost breakeven in February after 20k hands. That proves that I've been playing pretty bad. Not gonna happen anymore. Here are my stats from today:
