So I got a chat warning from FTP.


A few nights ago, I was railing aba vs durrrr hu, and I saw someone in the chat type I JUST FARTED BLOOD

What am i 5 years old? I was a little shocked that I got a chat warning for saying words like poop butt and fart. I assumed those were ok since thats basically the entire vocabulary of a 4 year old and you can say them on cable TV without consequence. I sent an email back saying "admit it, you laughed" and didnt get a response. I guess this is no laughing matter.



So I had a bit of a bad run the past few weeks. Still up around 105k from 25/50 this year, but been doing bad in PLO, and down about 65k from my peak at 25/50. I wasnt running so well and didnt feel like I was playing my best at all. So I decided to play lower stakes for a bit. I've been playing mainly 3/6 6max on stars, and i love it. the players are just awful and I am doing very well there the past 2 weeks (up about 10k ish in 12k ish hands, pretty sad that I was down 5k there to begin with)

And wtf is wrong with me at 10/20 6max. Everytime I play there i just get demolished. The first thing im going to do is get the 5/10 full ring into the green, then im going to start working on that 10/20 6max and figure out what the hell im doing wrong there, cause thats just pathetic.

I've started today with some decent plays and grind my way up to +3/2 bi. But then something hapenned and I started to lose and lose and lose. It's pity because... I don't know why . I can't possibly think that I can win everyday but this hurts, I've ended about -2 bi after 920 hands.

Also I find 6max with my style of 21/14 very frustrating and hard to concentrate fully, I've tried 6 tables today but I think I will move down to play 4 again, at least until I'll have some better edge

Have not updated for a few days - been busy. Been fairly swingy lately. Had 3 sesh's recently that went +1200 +1400 then -1200, lol. Had some tough hands in the -1200 sesh that I just could not get away from : http://www.pokerhand.org/?929220 - standard

http://www.pokerhand.org/?929146 - this one hurt - river card was like almost his only money card. Pretty badly played by him imo, but shit happens.

I wont go ranting on about beats so...

http://www.pokerhand.org/?929130 - this is a pretty insteresting hand I played - on the turn it is clear that he does not have a strong enough hand to continue UNLESS he had reason to believe that I was also not very strong. I tried to make a bet on the turn that would make it look as though im trying to push him off his hand. He called me, and I had a feeling that he was going to try and make a play on the river when he called this bet on the turn. I quick check the river leaving him feeling confident that I was running a play. He makes his move - I shove, he snap folds.

But plays like this I think are often times over-looked - and its plays like these that have been making me a ton of money lately.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?929382 - This hand was another interesting one. The line I decided to take here was far from my typical line. On a draw heavy board like that i would almost always raise that flop. However given the history with the specific opponent, I felt calling was my best option and here is why.

We have been sitting together for about 30-40 min. Almost every time it folds to him and he raises B vs B i call him preflop and either float flop or put in smallish raises and take it from him. When this flop came out I had a very good feeling that if i called him again he would get very frustrated and make a hefty bet on the turn that I could push rather than raising flop. That is exactly what happened and I moved him in. He made a surprisingly bad call though with only a straight draw for 170 more, I did not put him on a hand that weak - but I knew he was frustrated with me and I played it accordingly.


Then on Thursday night this happened:

That was not an all out win - was a 2 way chop 50/50 - giving me approx 6K.

Now I am rolled for 400NL - but I think im gonna spend another month or so at 200nl before I make the move - as I hear it is a lot tougher.

Some thoughts on 200nl : very easy and profitable limit imo, a lot of the regulars are not very good and some are very spewy. Table selection has really improved my winrate recently as I have been now selecting tables with high VPIP %s with a decent amount of money on the table. Whereas before I was simply looking for the tables to have a decent amount of money on them and would often find myself at a table full of regulars.

Anyways - will try and keep this blog updated as much as possible. Looking to put in a solid session tonight at 200nl, so updates to come.

Poker's been a bitch lately. Breakeven sessions all week and then one bad session to lose money for the week. A couple days ago I lost 4 buyins in 500 hands at nl100.. mostly to dumb bluffs and bad plays.

My first day in the red in a week.
2500 hands, down 140 for about -5bb/100

I made 2 crucial mistakes today. Calling a donk push when I should've tossed it, and not raising enough preflop with AA multiway action and he hits set.

Besides that, I lost every coinflip despite going in with the best of it. One was for 120BBs or some shit like that
There was also the set over set issue that kinda sucked.

I attribute running bad to the cashout boomswitch. I made my last 130 auto revert to neteller since news surfaced that they're shutting down to Canadians. http://www.neteller-group.com/press/en/127.htm

I'm now sitting at 23700 hands and 7.43bb/100, a big fall caused by this sitting :/ but, I intend on doing better next sitting

about 2weeks ago i was begging for moeny coz my BR dropped to like $40

after that I strapped onto the disciplinemobile and put in some insane log hours, and now im sitting with a $700 BR. im so proud of myself, but not for the fact that I neglected to study for a bit. I'll put poker aside for a while and concentrate on that.

It's been a while (again) since I've done anything with this but now I feel like writing some as I'm done with my and Muhwelis prop bet for this month, which was to see who will get a better winrate at their own limit during the course of 20k hands (NL100 for me and NL200 for Muhweli), no handicaps. The bet was for a staggering amount of 50$ + massive bragging rights :D So finally today I reached 20k hands (I was at 17k+ hands a week ago), and now I'm happy cause the main reason I made this bet was to make sure I don't get all lazy and settle for 10k hands or something if I get a massive heater. I tend to play less hands when running good and more when running bad - have to win the losses back right. This is something I would like to change in my game so that I could avoid the types of catastophical days I had this month where I just didn't stop playing soon enough. Only a couple of those but had I stopped playing earlier during those, my results for these 20k hands could be even better.

Not that I'm complaining. This has been my best month in poker so far, which ain't saying a lot. Actually I'm not sure about that cause I luckboxed three 180p MTT wins on stars and I think all of those were during November, and I did good in cash games then also. Early December I peaked my roll at 4k$. You might wanna check out my stats at sharkscope btw, it's quite funny. I've never been much of a tournament/SnG player but as I said, I luckboxed those. So you see my stats with about 65 or something SnGs played, most of them are 1.2$ SnGs. Then about 7x11$ and 3x22$ 180ps from which I won 2 of the 11$ ones and one 22$. The graph and ROI are pretty nice :D Anybody wanna stake me? :D

Oh well, cash games at least have been best this month and that is my comfort zone and the game I like to play. I've cashed out 1k$ at the start of this month and I'll cash another thousand today. Not before I had the chance to take this screenshot though.

That's my all time high and boy am I happy I would be happy to keep it all on the internetz but I wanna have some money irl too. Got to ship some beer money So my roll might not grow all that fast but I'm in no hurry to move to NL200. Besides everyone says your roll grows faster than your skill so I'm just slowing my roll growth for my (already mad) skills to keep up. Besides I'm real happy with the results I'm getting at NL100 as this month I've made more than what my salary will be at my summer job.. Which brings me to quite a dilemma. Should I even go to that job? I wouldn't even think about it if it wasn't in a firm that is sure to offer a place to make my grad work (or whatever it is in english :/ ) when the time for that comes. Which won't be in a few years with my studying pace... Oh well, I'll have to negotiate something with my boss, like working for 15h/week or something so I can concentrate on poker and enjoying the summer more :D

I'll probably try to get some more hands in during these last days of march and set the bar for next month reasonably high. The goal is of course to make it even better than this one <3

I'm doing better in the last few days, read some poker articles and I'm starting to figure out this game.

I've been playing 3 table, but I came up with a system. One table for every $20 in my BR, I'm close to 80, so tomorrow I'll probably play 4 tables. I need to play more tables because I get bored playing only 3 tables, and I start to read LP.net and not pay full attention to the game.

I've been playing short stacked becuz of my bad run of last weekend, don't know why but i guess I play more calm when I play shortstacked, at least after I lose some money.
