Mad Action! by tilted fish, March 30

I decided to move up to 100nl with 26.
These past 2 days have been crazy. Mad action... I dont know if its goood or bad since i just moved up.
but so far so good. Players are more aggressive and pay more attention to whats going on but I still see the same old shit basically, fucked up plays... lots of hope to be succesful.

well, time for an update by gawdawaful, March 30

Spent the last few days getting sucked out, drawn out, coolered, and anal raped.
Since the 26th, I've been winning at 1.49/100 over 11k hands, sad.

Total: 32,550 hands, 6.37 bb/100

March review by fanta[Rn], March 30

Good news everyone, I'm starting to update this blog again. And I'm going to end my pokermonth with this post.
First of all, I didn't play nearly as many hands as I wanted to . A delayed month start and a week pause due to a massive 11 BI swing made me end up with around 63,000 hands.

Here're the stats, I've been really nitty especially since this is 6max. The thing is that this style works well for me on this stake so I'm going to keep that up. My winningrate is not impressive but then again I'm very satisfied with it as I improved alot compared to my previous NLHE attempts.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/4636/ptrt7.png
I really enjoy playing poker, I think improving in this game gives me alot of joy and I certainly am improving. Every new day I learn something new, I discuss hands and think alot about what I could've done better or what I played perfect.

Now here's the graph, nothing much to say.
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5786/pgxn8.png

Other than that, I had a great idea this afternoon when I got out of uni - why not getting a second monitor? So I went home and checked the internet for a real good price/performance package and I've come up with the BenQ FP93GS. It was 200€.

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5635/cimg2264kn7.th.jpg

I have to say I think the monitor is okay, it's not compareable to my Eizo S1910K in matter of picture quality and all that - but then again the Eizo was almost tripple the BenQ's prize.

All in all, pretty good day and a nice month.

So long

Thank you circuit city by Daut, March 30

So my wrist has been killing me lately. It's mainly from the desk I have at school where I play poker, my wrist is always placed in an awkward position when im using the mouse.

I went to circuit city to get something to make it more comfortable to play poker. I found this soft little bag that I put behind my mouse that i rest my hand on, pretty much perfect.

So i'm walking to check out when I see the movie section. I decide to walk through and see if there's anything I want.

I hit the jackpot. I only find the most inspirational movie of my childhood........BLOODSPORT.

I've watched it 2 times since buying it already. Only a real man can make a bad mother fucker like chong li say matte.

Between this and aba's blog post about how hes going to play less tables, review hands after each session, stop browsing the internet and such have really inspired me.

Forget Patrik Dautonius. He's a mere mortal. Meet Bryan Van Dautsend.

Part Aba. part Van Damme. Part me. Combining the best of all 3 to create the ultimate male. GG World.

lol by redrain0125, March 30

been running good til yesterday, i face two women players who played like total donks ex. calling off their stacks with huge underdog FD's and hitting them at river. From this i can tell they have multiple partners (so friggin loose, unconservative hoes)then came the AK vs 99 hand where he hit is set on flop and proceeds to tell me i was outplayed. after, i made a total tiltplay and decided to push my aces on any texture board. -4buyins there
but winning the donkament FPP sat to sunday million offset this, so i aint feeling much right now.

This month i've paid 1054.03$ in rakes
30% rakeback on UB = +316.21$

1st week: ive made 1000pts = +50$
2nd week: could not play enough to get cash for my points
3rd week: made 1250 pts = +62.5$
4th week: made 2020 pts = +151.5$

% of rakeback = 55%

cleared the 100% bonus: +350$

played nl25, nl50 and nl100: +2436$

total: +3050$

im pretty happy considering i started the month with a 350$ deposit on march 5th.. Thx to the soft competition of UB.

i wont be able to play that much for 3-4 weeks.. final exams are coming

if i could make 1K in april playing from time to time i would be very happy!

Today's summary:

Commentary:

Possibly my last session for the month, and it went pretty well.

Boring...but decent.

I got SOOO many sweet hands pre-flop that didn't pay off...I don't know what was up with that.

24/668 hands? AA 7 times! Is that normal?

Top 3 winners:

I had been somewhat abusing this guy, and I guess he just plain had enough of it Picked a bad spot though.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/166236
Tricky spot OOP to short-stack. Was for sure calling his AI, but didn't quite know what to do with the 3rd player.

the exam and first 200nl session by Gawuss, March 30

Sup LPers Yesterday I wrote this important exam, which I was writing about few posts below. I think it was pretty easy, I haven't seen results yet, but I shoulda pass it. So welcome high school :D I've got now like 5 months of free time I don't have to learn this school-year anymore ^_^

Today I have been 4-tabling 100nl on PS and lost 2,5 buy ins in like 400 hands :/ I got bad beated really often and got nervous (nah, a lil tilt cought me too ). I thought about depositing few BI for 200nl on CelebPoker. So I did. My bankroll is pretty good for these stakes (more than 20BI) and it's enough to play 200nl especially on Celeb ( omg huge fishtank ) I've just ended my first session and ended up about $220 - not bad for like an hour of playing :D
I think I'll be playing there now and when my br hit 5k or 6k I'll try to play 200nl on PS and PP.

Good luck to everybody

see ya

NL200 in april? by DustySwedeDude, March 29

My BR just hit 6k again after my last cash out and I feel ready to play some NL200. So far in march I’m up about 5.9k or 59 buyins over 32k hands, which is a bit more then 9bb/100 hands. Not bad for someone who moved up from NL50 late february. Anyway, I’ve been playing kinda TAG with 23/18/3 stats most of the month but during the last two days I’ve opened up a lot and now I’m something like 32/25/4 and I’ve been running kinda good. I’ll just keep playing NL100 for the rest of the month and try to hit 6k total since it’s a cool number and then I’ll try to move up april 1st. I’m a little concerned that 30-35k hands might be a bit to small of a sample to conclude how big of a winner I am at NL100 but I guess it’s decent enough and that I should at least try to move up anyway. It’d be so cool to get to something like NL400 by the end of the summer since I started out with 50 USD late last summer.

I really feel that living somewhat close to sakisaki makes me run much better.

Today's summary:

Commentary:

Ahh, a sigh of relief. People just really wanted to pay me off this session for some reason.

Slight spews with AKo, and KTdd, but beside that, no real mistakes. AK just wasn't my friend today for some reason :/ In fact, my three biggest losses today were with AK. Anyone have any advice on what I may be doing wrong?

I still don't think my body has completely recovered from the damage I did to it over this last weekend, and I'm wondering exactly how many days I've shaved off the end of my life.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/165541 I really believe that I had 3 outs at best here; he's giving me ~3-1. I thought this was a relative inocuous board to c-bet. Villain here is 45/20 over 100 hands
