i still suck by Trey, October 15

Set under set 3 times, JJ < A6s aipf, asdfhajfhaskjfas hate my life.

Some hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294918 - 24/20 aggro guy, I didn't wanna 3-bet because I wanted to mix it up.. pretty much a cooler I think.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294872 - guy's a bad reg, he either has 88 or 22, obv 88.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294894 - another bad reg, unfortunate 70/30.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294920 - put him on a midpair.. unfortunately he put me on AK.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294921 - kinda tight guy, I coulda folded preflop, but sigh.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294922 - he basically never has AK there, and I figured turn would check through. I'm not really repping anything (maybe QQ), but I really think he has a smallish pair.

And some 200nl hands:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294924 - villain folds a Q here, and bluffs a decent amount, he banked for a while and pretended to almost fold, I guess he just slowrolled me.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294925 - set hold up? never.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294926 - I think I should've folded it but I think he does this with more than just sets, and I have 35% equity against him even against a set.

Comment if any of these are atrocious.. The AJh is pretty bad, but I don't think I can get away from many more.

biggest downsing by Forrest Gump, October 15

15/10/07
Ok, not really the worst, but $ speaking it was the worst

-1.6K down in a 2K hand session, making this month break even. So, seems that Im playing very bad or so, becouse at NL200 losing so much is a joke.
My Kings and Aces got cracked a couple of times, my sets didnt get action, I received river suckouts more than 3 times, I lost a FH vs a straight flush and probabbly some tilting plays. Shit happens.

I know this downswing is a joke compared to other, but it was my worst session in my life, so that affected me a little. Not my worst day becouse poker makes you stronger to this things, but still a bad day after a long long time.

Peace

a little update by nutshot, October 14

hey nerds:

been an up and down 10 days or so.. having a bit of a tough time at the MTT tables. been doing a little self examination and i think i found a few leaks in my game, so i'll be back with a vengeance this week.

in other news, i begin my quest to qualify for the PCA today.

i'm going to 12-table step 1's, and go from there.

sorry for the unusually boring post, yo.

**update - played one set of the 7.50 step 1's... got 3 replay step 1's, and 3 step 2 seats.

and i ran horrific. lost i think just about every flip. these should be ez.

First time playing NL50 by barbieman, October 14

I've been playing NL20 for about 6 months and since i moved to PS 7 days ago, NL25.
The NL25 game on PS is really weird, to be profitable i had to start playing this donkey style game with lots and lots of limping. And i had a really hard time reading my opponents since every thing they did seemed almost completely random.

Anyhow, I played NL50 for the first time. I had been playing some NL25 before so I didn't even play a 2h-session on NL50. I still made about 175$ though. And i found the game alot easier than NL25, the players are definetely better, but also easier to read. There doesn't seem to be as many calling stations preflop so I was able to steal some and I only got one preflop caller most of the time, which is real nice.
Hopefully the game isn't harder on weekdays and this wasn't a one time thing.

I think I made the most money out of retarded bluffs, (which I didn't make but called). OK, here are some hands from the session:

I don't think this one made any sense at all, if u have an idea of what he was trying to represent plz share it with me.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=294682

This one is a bit weird to
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=294703

Idk what to say about this one

I'll make a follow up post on this subject later this week

10FPP To Use by SugoGosu, October 14

So I entered my first 10FPP Tournament and did very well for my first time. I entered it with an intent to at least last half way, since everyone is obviously skilled (compared to me).

So I enter along with 5499 others, and after 1 hours and 22 minutes of playing, I get out in 168th for a prize of $0.50. Not bad for a transfer of 10FPP eh?

Go me!!!

(Lost to fucking AA vs KK) (KK got a set)

What shall I do with my 50 cents? I'm thinking of entering a $0.10 Tournament and last well in that too! hmmmm I'm happy.

You finished the tournament in 168th place.
A $0.50 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

Congratulations!
Thank you for participating.

pwning NL2 (with stats) by rgfdxm, October 14

Brag post time (and also experimenting with posting images).

I mentioned last time I don't have PT, but I saw FrEaK[S.sIR]'s post in Main Poker about Holdem Manager and jumped on the opportunity to see my stats, which I've been pretty curious about. Unfortunately I didn't realize until I went looking that PokerStars doesn't automatically save hand histories, you have to turn on the option. So no histories for the 7000ish hands I played before this afternoon.

I played two sessions of about 600 hands each once I made sure Stars was saving HH's now, and here are the results:
http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/6194/stats14octwk3.png

So yeah, huge heater today. I also played a 600ish session this morning for $6 or so, so my bankroll went from $100 to $135 today. I 4 table 6-max fast tables, by the way.

This hand was pretty much my only major suck-out this session, but it happened early on and set the tone for the day:

I found it hilarious.

Heater at just the right time by beethreekay, October 14

http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd230/beethreekay/14102007.jpg

The best way to get over tilt is to go on a nice heater, which I have been for the past week or so. I didn't get my Aces cracked once during this 6k run, and got paid off quite a bit. 25NL is so easy when you're getting big pairs and sets at the right time and either catch an over-aggro donkey or valuebet a station to death.

Some hands of note:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294355 - I just felt like thanking this guy for his generous donation to my bankroll

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294357 - A thin value bet gone bad. I think calling this river shove is spewy in general

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/294359 - I had such a good read on this guy, who pretty much played his hands backwards (betting with nothing, slowplaying when he had it). I really wanted to call this guy down with A hi for the HOTW thread, but the stupid river got in the way. Oh well...

There are others, but I can't remember them at the moment. I am now well over halfway through 25NL, and I hope to move up to 50NL pretty soon (when I reach $1000).

multitabling by OnMyWay, October 14

so i tried to multitable a bit playing 4 tables 6 max at once....

How you guys come along when ur hu on 2 tables and one more table 3handed ?!?
This is really some challange to me. I got way too many 2nd finishes.
Respect to all guys that 10+ table sng´s profitably.

Any advice on multitabling welcome btw.
I try to keep thinking before acting.....

Also, i am not running good anymore, i´d say i run normally now.
I realize that i sometimes suck ass at poker.
I am NOT moving up to the 23+2 6max turbos for now...

Down down down down by JerseyMuscle, October 14

So I was all ready to make a post about how bad I ran tonight (-4 buyins), but when I went over the session in PT, all the hands where I lost a big amount of money I was crushed. Things like AQ v AK (3 times), QQ v AA, TT v AA, etc. Anyway, I had already started to post and everything, so I guess I'll give you the graph anyway:

http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/3110/graphko1.png

And this is yours for stopping by:

http://bestvideos.ic.cz/wp-content/sin-city-jessicaalbadancing.jpg

Anyways, I've got a day to myself tomorrow, so I guess I'll be playing a bunch of hands, as well as the WBCOOP. GL all.

good bye breaking even! by Laech, October 14

Well it took me a week but I finally seem to have gotten a good run without coolers or idiot luck messing up my game plan.

I think its been about 2 weeks since I started on cash tables so heres a post.
NB: lost the first weeks hands due to not having PT and being lazy.
