Nice day today, shame i didnt do ANY uni work at all, instead i played football all day until like 7pm then went to pub (coke>beer after football for me) and then hit the poker tables at like 10pm.

Played 2.6k hands 6tabling which is a lot for me so thats nice. First half of the session was harsh and i ran really sick bad but it turned round a bit in the middle and ended up a nice session.

I played pretty fucking aggro on some tables since they were just totally bending over and letting me, i think one one table i was running at 37/34 over like 90 hands or something, pretty sick but was really fun heh.

Lesson: HU is full of variance. Don't let me go there with my roll ever again, though I still think it's fishy and I'm up overall.

One day I'll have enough money to play HU within my roll (100 nl is lowest stake), and I'll actually be able to afford a decent coach (pricepoint for buyins/hour of teaching for someone who can beat a stake or two above my stake is pretty brutal at 50nl) one day.

So whats going in my life? Hm not much, I got a shitload to do at work so I'm kind of stressed out, but its all good. Anyways
I've started to play abit more tourneys on stars and its been going ok, donked a 4th place in the 20k grntd for $1390.

Besides having a shitload to do at work, I'm going to have to study physics throughout november, and if thats not enough im also looking for an apartment in Stockholm. Im living on the upper eastside of Stockholm now with a roommate, but im looking for a place of my own. Oh an my mom will buy one if i cant find one myself - SHIP IT!

So like I was over in Switzerland in Neuchatel at a wine festival, it was alot of fun. I went with 3 friends and visited two friends that study there. So we stayed in Neuchatel from thurs-sunday, and sunday - monday we stayed at the Mövenpick in geneva.


This weekend im going to Prague, and im staying at a pretty baller hotel:

So in like 3 weeks im flying to the US to celebrate thanksgiving, im staying for like 4-6 days.

I just started today without knowing that stars increased the limit. So I was suprised at first but then I looked around and found out. I've been playin 24 tables at 200nl and 400nl 9max before at FTP and stars at the same time and the result was really good cacuse basically it helps me ALOT in being more focus on the game. Before when I was playin 12 table and watching movies at the same time I was mostly getting distracted which was massivly -EV for me. But today I gave 24 tables at stars a try and it totally owns! and the best part about it is that I can get VPP with basically twice the speed of before which might mean that I can make Elite before the year is over!!! SHIP SHIP

This week has been pretty awesome for a number of reasons. It first started with FrinkX and [vital]Myth coming over here to visit for the weekend since they were planning on finding a place down in San Diego to live.

Myth played a home game with my and my roommate and pretty much ran like god (standard) and luck sacked his way to a couple hundred. You can read about it in my previous blog post (that he put up). So anyways, Thursday night (since we didn't have school all last week due to the San Diego fires) we went out to my friend's baller beach house to pre-party before going to the Sandbar.

Secret to getting smashed: Don't drink a lot of one type of alcohol, you must switch it up and drink many kinds!!! There were like 20 people over at my friend's beach house and so the neighbors weren't too happy with us when we finally left to go to the bars at 11:00.

When we got to the bars, my friend's cousin couldn't get into the bar without her ID so Myth (being the superhero gentlemen that he is) took one for the team and decided to keep her company while we all went into the bar. After a few drinks in the bar, one of the girls who owns the house starts to panic as she realized she locked the keys to the house in the house. Eeek... worst part was, none of her roommates had a key on them either. The only extra key for the house was with my friend's boyfriend who went downtown for the night. Uggg, so we try calling him like ten times, and that turned out to be an epic fail. So we are like shit we are fucked. We stay at the Sandbar til 2:00am, as we leave me and my boy Tim show FrinkX the Pacific Ocean (since he's never seen the west coast before). So all the girls are trying to figure out how they are going to get inside their house, so during this time I call up Myth to ask him where he was. He picks up and tells me some sweet news: "I'm inside there house." Whaaa? So I'm like "How'd you get in?" and Myth responds "I'm a ninja. I have superhero ninja skillz. I'll tell you when you get back."

We got back to my friend's house where we found Myth chilling on the couch with my friend's cousin and a opened bottle of wine. He then proceeds to tell us the story of how they got in: Basically they came back to the house after we all went into the bar, and found that both the doors (front and back sliding window door) were locked. So Myth, starts looking around the house to see if there were any open windows... nope none. So then he looks up at the loft and sees that the sliding door is open. But now there is nothing around the house to climb or scale to get himself up to the loft. He realizes he's going to need a ladder... and where do people keep their ladders? In the garage obv! So they go to the garage thinking "Please be open ONE TIME DEALER!" and find that the garage is open... and right on the wall is a super long ladder! Poof, insta access to baller beach house. Way to go Myth! Such a superhero.

Today was a day like many of the old days before i got involved with online poker.

I woke up at 10am (no university today)
watched some TV while eating breakfast.

then i called the Girl ( the one i talked about in earlier blogposts) If she would like to go with me to "palm beach"

Its the biggest indoor and outdoor water park thingy ( dont know the english word for it... dont even know the german word for it lol ) in my area

I mean there are different swimming pools with different themes indoor + outdoor, 2 restraurants , big waterslides , big sauna area , lightshow and music area,fitness area,Solarium area and all sort of stuff.
there are also kinda different events every now and then.

Well i guess u get what i mean ?

Its to have some fun , lots of entertainment and lots of water
Unfortunately its so overcrowded that u can hardly move there ^^

I felt like i have to go there since my life felt kinda too much like a job routine in the past few weeks/months.

normally everything i do in life i do for a specific reason and i have a specific intention for doing it.
Today i wanted it to be different.

I called a girl which i havent seen sober yet and asked her to go to a totally overcrowded place with me.

It was a nice day full of amusing senseless stuff.

First of all we both agreed to just drive some random road
that might lead to where the palm beach is.
We could have easily looked the right way up in the internet or use some ordinary plan ...

but this was just not what i wanted for today.
We knew Palm beach was West of us so we just drove westwards without knowing which streets,roads etc we should take
I was happy she seemed not angry but amused that i drove random roads without knowing the way doing this on purpose
( haha i guess she thought i am kinda creative and take her out on a hidden date or so ... LOL ^^)
every 20 minutes or so we had a short look on the map to see if we have to drive west/ north,east or whatever
everytime there was a chance to drive left or right we just made a flippament.
but we never looked up how whe could safely reach our "goal"

Was lots of fun and as incredible as it seems we somehow managed to arrive at palm beach after 1,5 h ( normal way would be 35 minutes )

well i almost thought about giving up our game and taking a serious look at the map .. but then palm beach appeard ^^
I must have made some right descisions concering our way without being aware of it.
lol.

So we finally got there and had to pay 13 euros for 4h
or 16 euros for a whole day.
so we paid 13 euros for 4 hours and ofc stayed the whole day which costed us another 5 euros haha lol

I guess there were close to 8.000-10.000 people in Palm beach when we arrived and u couldnt really do anything there since it were just way to many people.

So we got into a pool and stood there for hours talking about random stuff
( normally you can swim or sit in the pools but since there were so many people you couldn't)

It was kinda odd but also interesting to talk to a person you intend to abuse as personal whore when drunk about stuff you are not interested concering the content.
( cant explain what i mean with this but probably some "meta" shit)

yeha when we had talked enough i bought a pack of Zigarettes... ( i normaly dont smoke )
I know that she doesnt like cigarettes and that after the talking we both felt like we should start to kiss each other and stuff. But just when the momment seemed comming i lightend a cigarette.

lol.

then i drove her home gave ger a hugh and said that i enjoyed the day ( which i really did

I sat down to my computer and played 3 sngs.
busted in all 3 with the better hand ...

TL;DR




Hello Nerds:

Went to Atlantic City this weekend... a few sick live hands to report. It's pretty long, so if you don't like it, just bounce now and grab a lollipop on the way out. There are also a fun pic at the end for you illiterate folks.

Left the Bronx around 9pm and headed over the bridge to Jersey, en route to the beautiful Borgata with three of my friends. Four more would join us later that night after they got out of work. We end up getting there at about 11:30 after some traffic and miserable rain. Check into our room, drop our bags, and head straight for the poker room.

We get seated at 4 different 1/2 tables since there was a short wait list (and I'd rather not play at a table with my friends anyway). The max buyin is $300 which is nice, a little extra play against the subhuman retards that play in these games. Within a few minutes of getting settled, I get a text from my friend Jay, "I hit a royal flush and got a t-shirt lol." Another one follows from my friend Jimmy, "I doubled up already lol." I get up and walk around, Jay's got his t-shirt around his neck and Jimmy is stacking another dude's buyin into his now $900 stack within 20 mins of sitting down. Sick life.

I figure it's only a matter of time before I get mine, since that's apparently how it's going for us today. Wrong.

Quick sample hand to give you an idea of how the play was at my table (9-handed):

UTG limps, UTG+1 makes it 12, 4 callers around including the button... SB makes it 41, bb FLATS. All in all, six callers preflop for 41. In a 1/2 game. Okay. Flop comes Q 9 7. SB bets 75, MP makes it 150, button FLATS with like, 45 behind. SB (probably the only halfway decent player at the table) tanks for like 6 hours and folds... MP puts the button all in in the dark for another $45. Button calls in the dark.

Final board: Q 9 7 6 3

SB folded KK
MP flips up 1010
Button tables Q4 of clubs for the win

...

Anyway, back to my hands.

Same table, EVERYONE limps to my button where I'm sitting with $375 and I make it 25 with JdJs. SB, BB, and three limpers call the raise. (150 in the pot)

Flop: Jc 10d 4d

SB checks, BB checks, limper 1 bets 50, and the other two limpers call. I move all in for $350. SB CALLS, folds around to cutoff who calls also. (Final pot is like $1,200ish)

Cutoff flips over AJ, ok.
I flip my JJ.
SB flips KdQd, GG me.

turn 3d for the flush, river a huge brick job and he gets shipped the $1200.

Later that night, I'm sitting with $450 and get it in with Ah4h on a flop of AJ7 with two hearts, to lose the flip to J7 for $900. Cool. Going well.

Now it's like 8am and I'm somehow down like $800 to these fucking assholes who have no clue how to play. Okay.

The $340 tournament is at 11am, so my three friends and I go grab some breakfast (pancakes and bacon for me, with apple juice and tea..sick life) then relax before the tourney. I'm feeling pretty shitty cause these guys are all horrendous but I'm somehow the only one down money out of my friends. Whatever. The tournament is when I'll shine.

Tournament starts with 10,000 in chips, 25/50 blinds, up every 30 mins, not too drastically. Decent structure, so I'm pretty pumped up. There ends up being about 130 players, with a $15,000 first prize.

First level and a half are pretty uneventful, when the following hand comes up:

50/100, I have about 8700 in front of me. Two limpers, I'm on the button with 9d 10d and make it 500. SB calls and one of the MP limpers calls. (1600ish pot)

Flop: 6d 7d 8c. Hello. Hi. How are you. Wow. Hi.

SB bets 600, MP calls. I think, mess with my chips a little, make it 2200. SB instafolds, and MP goes into the tank. I'm listening to Kanye West's "The Good Life" on my ipod and it seems pretty appropriate given I'm about to double through and start to doze this tournament. Suddenly, MP says "I'm all in," and like a flash, I make the fastest call in the history of poker. I'm talking like, Hellmuth style shove my chips in as fast as I can.

MP goes "Oh, you have aces?" I'm like... "No..........."

He flips 77, apparently trying to slowroll me... I flip the nuts.

As soon as I see his hand, I put on my jacket and shake the guy's hand next to me. River 8, gg.


After that, I was just sick to my stomach and bet sports and the horses the rest of the day and made a little money back while I was sweating my friends and chilling up in the room.

At night, the 8 of us hit up Bobby Flay's Steakhouse which was pretty awesome and fairly baller (for normal humans, not LP ballers) at like $125/man.

Headed home after dinner and a couple of drinks, a little lighter in the wallet but had some fun too. Bleh.

Short Summary: I run good at NL600, bad at everything else.

Long Summary: Down slightly in flips to Raidan and he owned me pretty badly HU too. NL400 is my drunken game and has been for a while, 20k hands and my winrate is about -2ptbb/100. Also took a few shots at NL1k and NL2k, mostly chasing fish but obviously it didn't go so well. Also lost a decent amount of money playing the PCA and APPT steps as well as in sports bets so my total earnings for the month is probably somewhere around $15k. Still a strong month.

While I think I'm playing very strong and can definitely beat NL600 and NL1k for a decent winrate, I've also learned a lot about some leaks I have. Working on these leaks is going to take time and experience so I really need to up my hand output for the month. 25k needs to be a monthly minimum and I should really look to boost it to 30-40k.

Also went to the block party at ASU last night dressed as a terrorist. I honestly have no idea how many times I had my picture taken, was great times!

... that I got temporarily banned from LiquidPoker, lol. I remember I was very sad and frustrated, and had completely no clue which of my posts was the main reason for this punishment.

Pokerwise everything is going OK. I'm up almost $700 on NL50 at Prima after 5 days of play. I've been playing a lot of hands lately, thus I'm going to get a pretty nice rakeback amount (nice for a week of play, that is). If everything goes as planned, I'll be rolled for NL100 after I get my rakeback at the beginning of December.

At first I wasn't very excited about checking out NL100 because of what I saw from the table selection list on pokerstars. While many of the NL50 tables had VPIP averages in the low 40s, almost all of the NL100 tables had them below 30. Basically I assumed the competition would be much tougher and tighter than the NL50 tables.

I only played about 500 hands, but from what I saw I was wrong. I had a 45% vpip guy who would limp/fold constantly just to my right, plus I had some people just throw their money at me in huge spews.

This hand was in my first orbit of my first NL100 table and I'm really glad my read was right since it gave me a lot of confidence.

No history or anything, villian just decided to go insane.

In October I increased my bankroll by more than $300, mostly playing the 3.40 turbos.

My goal for November is to break $1500 in my account. I currently have $600 so I will only need to maintain $30/day. I am moving up to the 6.50s once my bankroll reaches $700.

I really need to start studying my own leaks, and use SNGPT to find and fix them.

Current Bankroll: $591.89
Goal: $1500

Unfortunately I don't think I have time to play enough, but I'll try my best to put in the SNGS. Hopefully moving up in stakes will increase my profits by a good margin.

nearly 58k hands + take down a donkament, that's so sick. a new personal record by far in my short grinding career.

btw this was all on a stake for gawdawaful who i'm greatly appreciative of. i already sent him the initial 500 back and he graciously offered a deal where i just send 650 more by the end of the year; obv he's gonna get more than that as my way of saying 'thanks, yo!'

Well I haven't blogged in a while...haven't played poker much in a while honestly. I cashed out most of what I had online to live comfortably during my senior year at college. Well I'd like some more money so I guess I'd better get to playing.

Gonna have to run well in the beginning but my goal is to turn the $62.27 in my account into 10k by the end of the month. Sure this is a ridiculous goal but I'm gonna damn well try. Will be playing SNGs for the most part and also betting sports on the side. Will keep the blog updated with my progress...heck I could bust in a day but we'll see.
