This is fucking bullshit by KeanuReaver, December 06

So for those of you who know, I've had a whole lot of problems in getting everything ready for the Sydney APPT event. Well, the latest problem is just absolutely ridiculous.

My passport is being delayed, because the identification I submitted wasn't "satisfactory". Apparently I have to submit an extra 5 pieces of identification as well as a copy of my high school yearbook. The reason for this? The guy from the company I'm going through that is expediting my passport just said my ID wasn't satisfactory, and the page he linked me to on their website said it was because my drivers license was issued less than 6 months ago. My drivers license was issued to me in '05.

But I'm not an idiot. the real reason is pretty clear to me. I've got curly black hair and a big beard, my first name is Mehdi and my middle name is Mohammad. I'm Iranian and because of that some idiots in DC are going to make me jump through a bunch of fucking hoops for them just like I've done every time I wanted to board a plane after 9/11. And what choice do I have? If it isn't done by the end of the day I probably will not be able to get my passport on time and pstars has already emailed me that I won't get any compensation should I miss the event.

I'm so fucking angry.

this hand caused instant massive monkey tilting....

I knew he handn't much respect on NL5000, but this hand is beyond my comprehension... How can this "skilled" player go allin in unraised 5-handed pot with practically nothing invested and hit his 6 outer ? wtf is going on srsly

And btw I don't know if he is not taking it seriously, but I played with him several times at NL200, now he was 8-tabling so I guess these plays caused this is his new limit...

November summary by BaB, December 06

Well, hello everyone, so whats happened in November? I run almost the same as the last month, except my visit at NL200. So im up like 500$+ cca 2000$ in bonuses. It definitely could be better if i stopped my tilt tendencies every now and then. I have to controll myself more during downswings and continue to learn controll my aggresivity postflop. Afterall im pretty satisfied with this results, bonuses are working my way up and im making more money then i can earn in normal job for just about 4-5 hours a day! I'm pretty sure my winrate will be better in time. Im playing like 3k hands a day, watching some CR videos every now and than and sometimes watching Joeik's play in real.

Because of christmas coming i've withdrawed more money this month ( looking for NL200 shots soon after christmas ). Buying some stuff to our poker house and some other stuff like this cool puzzle:

Otherwise i've nearly broken my left elbow, so my proggress in "gettin in shape" is slowed a bit. Im excited from "new" item in my home gym and really looking to test it (benchpress etc). Welcome my new cool bench:D :

Sacred Geometry and Religion by Chase, December 06

Sacred Geometry and Earths Religions

http://www.geocities.com/uobvid/folA100.gif

I had heard heard about Sacred Geometry a long time ago mentioned in a few different documentarys; for example I knew that Washington DC and the pyramids at Giza were built in Sacred Geometrical proportions. However, I never really looked into it much and had no idea what the purpose/signifigance of it was until just a few weeks ago when I saw a few really fine lectures on it.

I need to preface this by saying that im still not entirely convinced, myself. However, all the work i have done so far confirms that it is indeed true, but contructive (or deconstructive) criticism is welcome as I share this with you over the next few entrys.

Ok, Ill just start with some basics of Sacred Geometry, enough to suit todays purposes anyways.

This is the flower of life:

http://img476.imageshack.us/img476/8997/completedfol06ao9.jpg

It is the pattern that emerges when you stack spheres, spheres being the most primal shape in existance (see planets, cells, water drops etc). If you try to look at the flower as if it was 3D, you can see how its just spheres packed into a cube. In this way, the flower of life is not just an arbitrary design. It can be seen as the way that the universe arranges itself naturally.

In Sacred geometry all curved lines are considered female, all straight lines are considered male. These two forms combine to create the duality thats intrinsic to our universe, eg: up/down, good/evil, day/night, for every action there is equal and opposite reaction etc etc...

Now, at this point, the flower is entirely "female". But when we connect the centres of each female form by superimposing straight, male lines, we get this:

http://img471.imageshack.us/img471/9927/mcinnfp08ad7.jpg

Now, hopefully I havn't lost you yet, cuz this is where is gets really intresting:

This image is called "Metatrons Cube". Its the perfect synthesis of Male and Female.

Its been believed throughout time by alchemists and secret societys that it is the key to the secrets of reality, the grand unified theory. Its the model that the ancients used to map the stars and create their Calander systems (a discussion for another post).

But its also the basis for all the religious symbology of the world, and thats what I want to go over today:

Probably the first one that you noticed was the Star of David

http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/672/stardavgg7.jpg

And we see the Cross

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/4032/crossyx9.jpg

And the Tree of Life from the Kabbalah obviously:

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/5294/r333tg9.jpg

I could go on and on but ill just post one more pic and let u find the rest on your own:

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/5889/oriasjg5.jpg

Every major organized religion and belief structure on the planet has taken their symbols from Metatrons Cube.

Now, why was this "metatrons cube" so important that all our religious imagry seems to stem from it?

Thats a big question, but hopefully that has caught your intrest, because thats what I will start to discuss and demonstrate in my next few posts.

Ill leave you with this to think about though:

Have you ever wondered why during an ecplise, the Moon covers the Sun PERFECTLY?

This is because the Sun is 400x farther away from us than the moon, and it is also exactly 400x larger than the moon. Look it up, sounds wierd but its true.

Hmmmmm, but thats a pretty big coincidence dont you think? 400x larger, and 400x further?

Thats all that NASA says it is, a coincidence, but what if it wasnt? Wouldnt that be an important key to understanding our universe?

More coming soon

I run so good by Big_Rob_48, December 06

I'm going to post my next really bad day sometime soon just to balance things out, but here is the best day moneywise i have ever had:

http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/8775/400sogoodfd9.jpg

I'm starting to not show my stats anymore, getting higher in the limits with better players, can't give out free info anymore : )

I ran really hot, this is certainly not normal. My run at 400 nl over the summer was like 2 pt bb over 100k hands, then i went back to 200 nl for a long time and made 4+ pt bb winrate. Now I am going to try to achieve 4+ ptbb at 400 nl, wish me luck! I'm so glad I got this hot start.

Edit - I have noticed my blog is always only about poker... hmmm....

My favorite song to listen to ever while playing poker is the DOTA song in like swedish or something, Finnish? Anyway DL that song if you are curious its by Basshunters its the best song to play poker to ever.

i tilt too easily off bad beats. people catching trips or two pairs after they go all in vs me (with garbage like k2o) then i go on crazy tilt and donk off my chips

hopefully tomorrow is gonna be better. time to grind $5 sngs like crazy

Played some nl25 by mikyor, December 05

I had 16 buyins for NL 25 so I decided to take a shot there. I opened up 12 tables and just grinded along. I played a pretty short session about 900 hands or so. For some reason I don't feel comfortable playing at NL 25. It just feels different to me, I think it affects my play at times. NL 25 seems much more tighter than NL 10 so I get frustrated at times when I get no action and action only when I lose. Does anyone else think that NL 25 has a large amount of super short stacks?

Here are some hands I played during my session(I would like to get some comments about them):

first somewhat big hand of the session
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329688
I was not happy with all the limp calls preflop and flop calls I got. Should I look to go all in on the turn if I get raised?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329689
I do not like how I played this hand. I just didn't like the idea of stacking off on the flop or just calling to see what happens on the turn. The pot would be pretty big on the turn and I didn't like the idea of stacking off there if I had to. Maybe I should of not bet the flop I don't know getting raised on flops like these make me feel vulnerable. I do not like paired flops.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329691
I have no idea why I played this hand this way. It is terrible lol. I should've just re-raised pre or raise on the flop. That way I get same results but it costs less money.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329692
Standard cooler, this is the only buyin hand I think I lost.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/329685
I'm not sure about this one. I wasn't sure if I should 3-bet the flop on this hand. His small turn bet also confused me on whether he had a big hand or a weak one, but I had no choice but to raise the turn. I guess from his river fold I should have 3-bet the flop. I dunno I feel that I missed value on this hand.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329694
Is my attempt at stealing on the turn okay?

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329696
owned by krablar =O

http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=329698
I'm a bit embarassed by this hand. I could not understand what his hand was that would call me all the way down to the river. I didn't like the idea of calling a river shove if I bet so I checked on the river.

and here is the graph of my session...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/78d8edad93c8f49d6f5b31b4da9cca92.jpg

PS: I swear they know when I have AA, everytime I had aces I would get no action at all!!!
thanks for reading this long post of mine.

Day 3 over. by PandaSaurus, December 05

Weird day. Started really badly with some horrible setups. Lost KK vs AA twice, QQ vs AA once and AKs vs AA (I run into AA quite a bit, wtf?!).

I was a bit disappointed with the QQ hand as I should have folded. His line was very obviously AA, but I wasn't good enough to fold.

Recovered pretty well though and had a good run this arvo to get into the black.

Start BR: $366
End BR: $404
Profit: $38

11 more days and $96 til NL50 or $404 till bust.

Illuminoustrious decadations of swimming assassins by CrownRoyal, December 05

What reasons are questionable as to the crimson skies. Should I stay, or should I go, should I flutter as a young blossoming freebird or decay myself as to sending the pain below. Dissonance and bliss, Freelance and determined destiny, the foreverness and eternity, the dog-eat-dog society.

My counterpart and interactions of wildlife society, the lessons as to which life will deter into cynical deductions. The destruction.

The beauty of harshness and the cruelty of the sword, the spear, and the hand of mankind.

Salutations.

donk rush by OneInTheStink, December 05

Today. i started with $100 on fulltilt. me and my friend both played in the $69 10k guarentee, i got 6th place, and took half of $530, then played short stack 3/6, grinded that up to $650, and then played 5/10, Lagtarded it up $100, before i had to go out to eat, and then when i came back, i bought in $345 at 3/6 again, so i'd have $400 cushion left over. but that wasnt needed. for i ended up $500+ . so that ends the day from $100-$1200+. 1200% BR increase. holla.

Day 5 - just one of those days by TianYuan, December 05

11,685 vpps collected this month
32,166 to go

http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2697/day5uq1.jpg
I honestly didn't play well, but I ran like complete garbage -_-
Got way too passive and had a shitty image pretty much everywhere. 2 barrels never worked, everyone folded when I had something, if I had jacks, he had queens, if I had 2pair, the board would pair and counterfeit it etccccccccccccccccc.

Bleh.

I think top set cost me about 3 or 4 buyins today.

It's 2 am but I'm gonna go for a run -.-

EDIT: I had a hilarious W$WSF of 34.7% and an AF of 2.7.. It's kinda hard to win pots when you miss every single board and get called every single time tho.

EDIT2: http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/4702/pokerevlh3.png
I guess the won without showdown number isn't that great, but at least I can say I'm running bad in all-in situations

One thing I've been having trouble with is playing hands like 88-99, or KJ/KQ whatever, since people don't give up nearly as often as they do at .5/1 It's harder to play those hands when 9 tabling 1/2 than .5/1 for sure.

Like I have 99 on a 776 flop, I don't know if I want to raise his cbet, but I also don't know if I want to check call check call etc, meh. Probably just good to c/r them a bunch, protect likely best hand and make my check/raises less 'nuts, air or draw'.

There was also a hand I really really misplayed, JJ UTG, 3 callers, including two GIGANTIC donks (like '3rd worst pair in a 3bet pot to a raise on the flop, I probably should call down').. One of the donks (the biggest donk) leads a 789 flop super weak (he does this with any pair) so I call cause eh, raising with 3 others in the pot is kinda bad.

Second donk calls as well, turn is rag. He makes another retard bet. River is a ten and I obv have essentially the nuts, anyway, he bets bigger and I figure he probably has nothing so I just call trying to get an overcall.. Which in hindsight, I realize was completely retarded. I managed to forget there was a lower end straight too, lost soooooooo sick much value, since he'd probably have called a raise at least. Dunno if he'd stacked off (150bb deep).

I shouldn't complain tho, this is my total month so far, I ran pretty good at NL100, a couple of buyins above expectation there. Still would hav been more fun to run good at 1/2
http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/7739/pokerev2gn6.jpg

I'm sure I'm losing way more than I should in non-showdown hands tho, need to work on that..

Of course he proceeds to go on lifetilt after losing with a set(!) and getting flush-over-flushed...gg br.

However I was having sick varience yesterday, probably as a result of running pretty terrible and playing good opponents. Of course it doesn't help that literally every 10/20 reg on FT decided to 2-table vs me then quit after 10 mins up 1-2 buyins. Thanks guys. Here's a bonafide gem from yesterday:

Hyperdimensional Hexagons by Chase, December 05

http://jimmyakin.typepad.com/defensor_fidei/images/2007/03/29/saturn_hexagon.jpg

Cassini Images Bizarre Hexagon on Saturn
March 27, 2007
Pasadena, Calif. -- An odd, six-sided, honeycomb-shaped feature circling the entire north pole of Saturn has captured the interest of scientists with NASA's Cassini mission.

NASA's Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft imaged the feature over two decades ago. The fact that it has appeared in Cassini images indicates that it is a long-lived feature. A second hexagon, significantly darker than the brighter historical feature, is also visible in the Cassini pictures. The spacecraft's visual and infrared mapping spectrometer is the first instrument to capture the entire hexagon feature in one image.

"This is a very strange feature, lying in a precise geometric fashion with six nearly equally straight sides," said Kevin Baines, atmospheric expert and member of Cassini's visual and infrared mapping spectrometer team at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. "We've never seen anything like this on any other planet. Indeed, Saturn's thick atmosphere where circularly-shaped waves and convective cells dominate is perhaps the last place you'd expect to see such a six-sided geometric figure, yet there it is."

I believe these geometrical formations hold an important key to understanding reality and our universe. These same geometrical patterns can be seen everywhere in the microcosm, macrocosm, and in nature:

Trying something new by sooon2b, December 05

So ive been on this 3 or 4 day binge now and havent slept and have been thinking about tons of shit. I decided the "get rich or die tryin'" saying is legit and ima take it to heart.

So, this month im gonna try some new shit and try and be more structured. Gonna smash nl cash this month starting at 1/2 and moving up aggressively. Gonna be playing a very "different" style. Results to come

I am gonna keep working on my mtt game. I feel I have run pretty terrible lately in mtts and have a big score coming soon, but i know i still have some leaks and im gonna try and work those out so if u r good at mtts and wanna help me holla at me k thx.

I am also staking 2 friends of mine in poker which I think could be beneficial to them and myself.

I am moving into my new place(the fraternity house) sometime this month so ill be pumped to have my monitor and such btw I am buying 2 24" monitors to go along with my 21"s. Should be tight. All running off my desktop obv or maybe just the 24"s off my desktop and then the 21"s can be for my laptops or smthn idk and idc. Anyways itll be more relaxed at the house(i.e i can smoke pot easier than i can living in the dorms although i cant smoke inside the fraternity house )

I am also thinking of going to Aussie millions with some legit ppl mark vos sappy123/sapster traheho maybe? idk anyways i wanna win a seat for it so those guys can teach me to be sick.

i also decided my first real estate purchase is gonna be a house on a lake around my school for me to live in with friends til we graduate well have a pontoon boat and shit itll be sick. Its nice out here too because its sort of rural but the cities are all relatively close and its a nice drive there.

My first 2 vehicles I want to purchase are the 08 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 crew cab long bed with the V6 and TRD offroad packages, throw a 3" body lift on it, some nice new wheels. I need a 4x4 truck for the bad snow we get all the time and I hunt/4wheel/like offroading so it makes sense to get this truck as its got good gas mileage and rides nice. The next vehicle is sick sick sick its the Audi S5 they have in 2k8. Its only around 50k which is awesome. Its AWD so that will be somewhat reasonable in the bad weather we get here. idk im pumped.

HU is fun. by Rush, December 05

I just finished playing a 500 hand HU session against a random at 50NL. I was down $250 (5 buy-ins) and he was running like Jesus and I'm kinda high, but I came back and laid the Oden on him. Holler.

Videos by DustySwedeDude, December 05

So I got inspired by saki and I've tried to make a couple of videos. The first one I deleted due to suckouts and the following foul language and the 2nd one sucks because it pretty much is 40 minutes of retards hitting two pairs and minbetting those 3 streets to valuetown me. Basically, it's not very good and I won't upload it since it's a waste of space. However, I will make another one because I need brakes from studying for my big ass test so I'll let you guys decide what kind of video I should make. I'll play 6-max/HU NL or PLO (I've been winning on 1/2 and 2/4 omaha but that's probably just variance and I consider 2/4e my main game in NL) and I won't do anything higher then 1/2 euro. List topics you guys want me to discuss and what kind of video you want.
