been playing some razz recently. Decided to put up rest of $24 roll and brought it up to 57 before today. I admittedly played poorly/ran hot in order to make this money. I was very up and down yesterday. But i played well today, maing 23. No huge pots, biggest pot won was $10 so i was able to win many small pots. Anyone else here besides wiredc_4 and buzzard play razz?

lol, got KK vs AA 4 times in a session of 1.1k hands. I still won almost a buyin due to especially one retard who had two of the AAs who decided that slowplaying AA vs strength is a sure safe way to get payed off. lol.

I ran so sick tonight. I started around 4pm and lost ~$5 to put my BR at ~$75. Then my computer fucked up again and I had to reinstall windows and shit which is just oh so much fun. After I got all my shit back up and running around 10pm I hit the tables again. I managed to run my ~$75 roll into $106 in five hours. I ran so sick hot it was crazy, that and fixing some big leaks really boosted my confidence and roll

I was sucked out on twice (as far as I can remember), including a gay KK v TT all in preflop where I spike a K on the flop and the douche sucks out to a flush

Other than that I can't believe how well I ran, I was hitting sets left and right and shit just HELD. It felt soooooo good.

I guess this hand pretty much sums up my night.

Well after playing a marginal winning session (about 2 buyins) earlier tonight where I dumped about half my winnings away in the last 5 minutes, I felt hopeless. I sat down a few hours later and inspired by a comment Myth made in one of my hand threads about playing 30% of his hands, I decided to really go for it with some LAG play. I've always been a pretty wussy LAG whenever I try it and end up reverting to TAG play. Hell, my lag attempts usually turn out with me playing 20/18 which is pretty much good TAG play, and when I try to play TAG I'm like 17/14.

It was a weird experience but after establishing the image I was able to push my big hands all-in and get calls where I used to get folds. I played many draws like the nuts and did make a few mistakes with bad pushes and I must have gotten stacked at least 5 times during the session, but I found lot's of good spots to bluff and triple barrel profitably on top of getting paid off on good hands. It was a really nice session and I think I sucked out just about as much as I got sucked out on.

Here's the stats and all that jazz for today overall. I think this second session was about 6 buyins while the first was about 2.

It really felt like playing LAG was starting to make sense. I hope I'm not just lucksacking my way through. I definitely have a LOT more to learn and am gonna go whore some more CR vids, but it was the best feeling session I've had in ages. I would have come out with about 11 buyins if not for 2 really stupid pushes where I wanted to reverse time and undo them the second I made them. hehe.

Yeah it was a great day, toss in some random tilt spew for fun and I lost around 4 buyins today. The one thing I can say is I haven't chased losses and that is definetly a change. I'm just starting to play mass hands so I havent run into a sick run like this before and frankly it's just so so sick.

Ok the reason i write this is cause i just love the nights where all the right plays are just shat on. I'm sure all of you know the feeling. I play any where between 8 and more tables. I'm only on the 1 BI tourney level but my current bankroll isn't bad I'm at 67.90 this all comes from 8 dollars left on jokerstars a couple years ago. Going for a pipe dream where someone can go from nothing to millions...lol. But then you have the lucky donks up against you making it there. Had horrible beats today i.e. JJ vs J10 diamonds. blinds 25/50 I raised 250 pre flop he calls The flop 2c9d5d he bets 500 i push all in a 3.6k stack he has 5.6k and calls turn is a blank and don't you know he catches the diamond to give him a flush. Had a loss on AQ spades vs KQ he 3 bets i go all in and he calls and turns a king. Oh well what can you do but play tomorrow...up for the day though 9.30 in the clear for the day

today is very indicative of what poker has been like for the past month. basically, without fail, i destroy 2/4 every time i play and just get raped at 3/6. WTF. the games are definitely harder - the regs are better and there are much fewer fish, but STILL...i know that i was running really bad the other week at 3/6 and really hot today at 2/4, but I am starting to question my perception of luck because I really don't think there's THAT much of a difference or that my edge is really that diminished between 2/4 and 3/6. anybody else have a similar experience?

So I decided I wanted to improved my limit game because I think it would really help with tough postflop situations and help my hu NL game in certain situations where i need to get max value with hands and need to make big call downs.

I started off the day trying to get hu limit games anywhere from 2/4 to 10/20. i watched a couple schneids vids and played a bunch and apparently i really really fucking suck at hu limit. check out this mess:

LOL. that has to be the most pathetic thing of all time. i cant even claim running remotely bad as i lost to about 6 separate opponents. ok i guess i wont be playing any more hu limit.

BUT ON A POSITIVE NOTE...i decided to not totally give up and try to grind back the losses at other limit games, and VOILAAAAAAAA, apparently i can minbet decently in 6max:

new years eve was fun, and im contemplating mspainting some of it for your viewing pleasure, but it will definitely take a while to do. maybe ill do it when im in bahamas. the pictures would have funny moments from the nights of ahh_snap and martine23.


and one final note, i have joined the dark side. i was in EB games the other day and there was an after christmas sale, and i picked up WoW and the expansion for only 30 bucks!

Just a few things I wanted to post:

1. I have been running like shit the past few weeks and not playing my A-game either. I hope it gets better in January.

2. Year 2007 was good pokerwise for me, I became a midstakes winner and built solid BR for NL1k even with my nitty BR management.

3. I hope to make about twice as much in 2008 as I made in 2007. I want to become a winner in high stakes like NL 5/10, 10/20 and possibly also in NL 25/50. I intend to play mainly on PokerStars because Supernova bonuses make up for solid rakeback, but that my of course change during the year. I will start off the year by playing mainly midstakes NL 2/4 and 3/6 but I will frequently be trying NL 5/10 when the tables look good.

4. Today I did my first staking deal - I staked Logiabs with $400. He is suppossed to pay me back the stake + 1/3rd of his profit in 10 days (= 12th of January). I hope he will run good and make both himself and myself some money

5. Today I also made a side bet with lostaccount - he said he would make supernova elite in 2008. So, the bet is: If lostaccount makes supernova elite in 2008, I will pay him $410. If he wont, he will pay me $400.
