good day by Reload, February 03

except this:

Hello datho,

We have transferred $2.00 from your account to 'Artanis11' as per your request.

Good luck to you both.

took down a $6 45-man. got like 14th in a $12 180 man (never got an FT yet). didn't place in the $11 turbo earlier because of a damn 4 outer (jj v ka v ka). but i'm up a good amount today. found a very obvious leak in my game.. trying to steal blinds against people with wide calling ranges..hopefully i can work on that

Session 2 by OrcsAreSexy, February 03

Session 2 didn't go over so well, rather awful in fact. Dropped 4buy-ins within the first 10mins with some questionable calls by me and some terrible luck. Including AK vs 99, TT vs AQ, KK vs AA. After that I tighten up my game a bit and made most of it back. Then went on another downward spiral and ended up down 6BIs. Won 9 out of 26 coin flips.

Maybe it's just running bad, or maybe I am just terrible. Who knows. Small break for pizza and whatnot. Hopefully session 3 goes much better.

Anyone with a little free time to talk poker and maybe toss out a little advice can find me on

Back on track by Ezekiell, February 03

As you know, i've been running extremely bad this week, lost about 10 buyins. It was the combination of bad beats and bad play, caused by tilt. I have to learn not to tilt heavily, and the losses can NOT affect my play. This is my biggest leak at the time.
Yesterday we went out to party with my gf, it was a really good one. I slept only 5 hours, so i decided not to play today. As always, i couldnt stand... So before the Super Bowl (Go Patriots!!) i played 2 hours on 9-10 tables. I didnt have too much expectations about this session, but i ran like god himself! Cbets worked, flops connected with my cards, and no suckouts! It gave my confidence back, that i can win. Pretty good feeling

I have a problem by Python817, February 03

I've noticed that when I'm winning I'd usually just stop after a hour or so. But when I'm losing I'd go on playing for 6-7 hours. I think losing just motivates me to play more and try to improve. So basically I hate losing and winning bores me. I hate money??

gg by bizzarro, February 03

hi. i finally went past that "figure" i wanted. br this week just couldnt break free from that doomswitched amount. now im over it, plus around 5bucks lol. maybe it's a sign that it's gonna be smooth sailing from hereon until another certain "figure" is encountered. played 6max, fr, went down in limit just to get my confidence back and it did. 6max is way easier at microstakes ive noticed, coz ppl are trying way to hard to be ctsish in their game, and get the money in way too light, with little to almost ridiculously slim equity ranges. well i hope things get better this week. bye.

Nogueira by PplusAD, February 03

3rd round of UFC 81
Nogs groundgame was just incredible amazing.

Okay Sylvia is not a good groudn fighter , but the whole setup of nogs submission was just amazing
3-4 shoot takedown tries -> half guard takedown ->leg sweep -> side control position -> north south position -> guillotine attemp -> submission

This was like a short chess game and Nog totally hardcore outplayed Sylvia in every move he made.

Pokerwise :
Rakeback things sorted out !
weeeeeeeee

And i am making good monez latelay

+ 200$ in my last 3,5K hands

New day tomorrow by jase, February 03

So I lost $50 yesterday (half my BR), because I ran so horribly, I'm fairly sure I played every hand well and got my chips in good each time.
Tomorrow I'm going to try and play some more solid SNGs and hopefully start building my BR back up with the $1 SNGs, maybe a few $5s.

If that doesn't work I'm going to save some money made (outside of poker) and sign up to cardrunners/pxf or something similar and deposit like $250 and just work on learning more as I play instead of being so concentrated on winning which sometimes results in me playing scared now.

Dunno if any of that made sense but wish me luck! :D

Very random! But with pics so don't complain! by JonnyCosMo, February 03

Haven't updated the blog in a long while... so this is going to be random-->

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/JonnyCosMo/BackInSd3.jpg

Told you! I've had a retarded amount of free time on my hands in the past month and have been playing a lot of poker. For the first time since the summer time I played over 50,000 hands in one month and ended January up a lil over $11,000. I would screen shot my PT but there is something really wrong with my computer. Everytime I screen shot something and copy it to MS Paint... it turns out all black? Anyone know how to fix this? I'm told it's a Windows Vista gfx problem or something? Anyways, when I'm not playing poker down here I've been doing a lot of surfing. I'm still somewhat bad at it but it's just so great to be out at the beach everyday, especially because the weather down here has been absolutely amazing considering it's winter.

On to another news flash in my life: I'm now an uncle!

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/JonnyCosMo/logan.jpg

Meet my nephew Logan! He was born last Saturday at 5:40 in the afternoon, weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces. My mom says that he looks exactly like me when I was born with the exception of his deep blue eyes which you can somewhat see here:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/JonnyCosMo/logan_t.JPG

Still a very cute baby, but I'm sure I was cuter . Obviously my little sister is really excited, and I'm going back home next weekend to visit. I was going to go back this weekend... but come on... It's Superbowl Sunday tomorrow. How can I miss that? My new nephew is going to have to take a backseat to that.

So I realized this semester that school kind of sucks. Plain and simple... when you're making 10k+ a month on a pretty consistent basis... your motivation to study for school kind of drops off in a big way. Especially since I'm a Communication major with an emphasis on journalism, which earns me a starting internship with salary of 35k/yr coming out of college. Big fucking whoop? I almost made that in one month over the summer. Recently I've seriously considered just dropping the whole thing and figuring out my poker career. I'll check back in on that. The only thing keeping me going to school are my friends who are totally awesome. Here are some pics from the past week:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/JonnyCosMo/BackInSD2.jpg

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/JonnyCosMo/BackInSD1.jpg

Not very good quality obv, mainly caz my friends are donks at taking pictures, and my camera is dead. FPP store re-ship my new camera faster plz? Finally, check out my new love:

If you can't see the video click on the comments to view it - Dave Matthews Band is like... so good. I've always liked Dave Matthews, but recently I've really started to listen to all his CDs and wow... amazing? Especially this song, #41 where Victor Wooten comes in and plays the sickest Bass Guitar solo around 6:45 into the video. If your a fan of good music, this is def not a video to miss.

See? Told you this was going to be a random blog post.

fwendship by sawseech, February 02

for most people, the selection of friends approximates the following tree struct:

does person live closeby?
-yes/no

if yes, does person have a pulse and not smell?
-yes/no

if yes, friend selected

however, for me, the case structure more closely approximates the following:

does the person provide anything of value with regards to the ability to expand my thought processes?

- yes/no

if yes, would that which he or she provides be satisfied by the question, what would i be thinking if i were 40 IQ points dumber than i am at the present time?

- yes/no

if yes, is she hot?

- yes/no. if yes, friend selected. in this case friend = pending penis receptacle for serial monogamy.

if no, do they smell?

- discount potential friend status

hard choice to make by 21drful, February 02

Recently, my friend had a party at his house. Obviously there was underage drinking and such involved. THe party went fine without police breaking it up, etc. FYI his parents were out of town. So two other guys call his house and leave a message saying something along the lines of, "Mr.______, we have recieved numerous complaints of underage drinking...blah blah blah you can be arrested because of your sons actions." His parents heard it and flipped a shit. Tonight at a poker game, I found out who did it. The two individuals who did it are my friends. One of which is one of my closer friends, the other is jsut a fucking douche bag who thinks he is the most funny guy in the world. However, my friend (the one who got pranked called) is my best friend. Thus, what should I do.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/userpoll/draw.php?poll_id=513
Poll: What should i do
(Vote): Completely fuck up the individuals cars and houses
(Vote): call crime stoppers and tell them that they were impersonating cops
(Vote): put sugar in gas tanks
(Vote): not do anything

Surgery happened! Feel shitty by PokerDoc88, February 02

So I had my jaw surgery yesterday, it was 3.5 hour operation. Thankfully, the surgeon only had to adjust my upper jaw, so my lower jaw remains unscathed.

I still feel the effects of the general anesthetic, although it is very mild now. The nerve blocks they used during the surgery are wearing off, so I am beginning to feel dull throbbing pain. However, it is far less severe than I imagined it would be, so I'm very relieved. My face is massively swollen, I'll post photos of myself later if I can be bothered. I'm very tired and have a headache. The most frustrating thing is not being able to eat anything except for complete mush, and I have frequent nose bleeds. I'm told these will go away soon, and within a week I should be able to chew soft foods.

I'm very tired, but I can't sleep properly because I favor positions where I have my face buried in the pillow: Obviously that's not possible because it is painful to touch my face around the mouth area, so I have to get by on fragmented sleep on my back .

Here's to hoping for a speedy recovery!

PokerStars Sunday Million Longterm Backing. by BigRed0000, February 02

Hello potential investors,

I am interested in finding long term staking for only the Sunday Million tournaments on PS. I played tournaments for the majority of last summer and did fairly well, but stopped in August to learn cash games. Here is my link to OPR, I have an 80% ROI in tournaments with average buy in 30$. I've won the 11r (the daily 45k) and the 27.5 25k on Stars and right now my current game is 1/2 FR cash.

http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/...FCE0C1B041528935D29F88AAC622.html?t=2

I want backing for the mill because I am taking a break from school to play full time this semester so while I do have the money to play the mill every week, I don't know how comfortable I am with potentially losing 10+ bi's in just 4-5 tournaments.

As for whether or not I am a trustworthy, reliable, and +EV investment, I am currently being coached by Corwin (Vital[Myth]) and have met several LPers (FrinkX, Myth, PocaKey, Nutshot, Marshall, etc..) in person so if you have any questions about my character I think they will all tell you I am an honest person and will not 'grim' you.

I am open to suggestions as to what kind of deal and for how long you would like to make it for, but right now I am thinking something along the lines of...

Backing in all of the Sunday Millions on Stars (except for the 1k) until May 31st (or longer if at that date the staker wants to extend it). We would split winnings 50/50 with makeup, so if I lose 215 10 times lets say, then win for 200k, we would subtract 10*215 from 200k to give back to you(make up) and split the remaining amount 50% each.

At any point during the staking, the staker may cancel for whatever reasons they want. The only conditions I would cancel in are if I win or get a very big score in the mill.

I will keep meticulous record of how much I have received from any backers.

Thank you for reading this, if you are interested please PM me.

GL everyone,

Patrick.

Running bad or playing bad? by jase, February 02

So 5 days ago I hit $150 with my BR, I started with $50 and worked it up through $1 SNGs and have now started playing $5 sngs. I'd been fairly consistent for the first few weeks cashing more than half the time in the SNGs.

The last 4 days I cannot win. CANNOT WIN.
My BR is down to $57, I can't cash.
I can't win coinflips. I've actually been note taking, the last 18 coinflips I've entered either with a pair against two higher cards or two higher cards against a pair I haven't won.

I can't cash. Over half my bankroll is gone now so I'm on massive tilt, I locked myself out of Pstars for 24hrs because I don't wanna do something stupid like play $10 headsup or something like that.

It's seriously driving me insane, I'm so competitive so I feel like I'm playing bad and becoming angry at myself.

Any advice? :|

Session 1 by OrcsAreSexy, February 02

Well Dinner time marks the end of session 1 in my 3 day weekend. Nero talked me into switching to NL10 FR from 6max. I ran pretty good, was making correct call down and getting my money in when I was ahead. Didn't get much action with my big hands, but took down enough small pots to make up for it. Played 15/10/4.5 with 55BB/100 over 1k hands. Ended up 4BI ahead. Now for a little dinner and a movie before starting session 2 ^ ^.
