| | I suck :( by sooon2b, February 17
First, before I forget! I NEED someone to trade/dump my partypoker money to for FTP/Stars. I currently have about 500$ on there, and would like to keep playing for a bit if someone is able to take the $ off my hands. The reason I said dump is because I currently can't transfer the money. My buddy made an account for me, under his mom's name, and apparently now you need to fill out some preferred player form to transfer funds. Well this form contains a ton of personal info, and he is not sure his mom will fill it out for him(she was aware of the account as she was recieving my rakeback = ) So, if he can't get her to, I would need to dump the money somehow. Shoot me a PM if you can do this, and it if you are able to take a decent amount of money, I could give a small % of the total xfer(i.e 5-10% depending on how much)
Well, FTOP's is finally over for me. I managed to cash in 2 events for basically nothing. My backer got 1/3 of his $ back, but I still feel pretty shitty. I would say I ran bad, but its mtt's so you cant expect too much I guess. Oh wells, I am actually glad its over now though.
As far as cash games, they have been going fairly well. I am still playing 100NL 6m and 100NL HU. For some reason my sessions have been extremely swingy, more than usual I would say. I have been running fairly decent I would assume since I am up 5.5 buy ins at both 6M(over 2750 hands) and HU(over 1250 hands), so 11 BI in 4k hands is pretty good. I still think I am not playing as well as I should be. I think I am a bit of a calling station which I need to look into and work on if it needs fixing(could just be variance obv). I am getting a lot more comfortable in 3b pots I think. I am getting better at controlling my aggression on all streets, and finding more spots to take down pots. Overall I still think I really need to keep working on my game, especially because I am playing 100NL and should be crushing it. Sometime this week I am going to spend a day going through my pokertracker analyzing hands. I will post them all in my blog after.
I do plan on playing a minimum of 12,500 hands this week, and pretty much every week from here on out(if my schedule allows it obviously). I feel my biggest problem in the past is not playing enough(along with playing out of my comfort zone bankroll wise.) Hopefully I should be able to do this every week.
So, to reiterate my new years poker goals:
- Focus mainly on my NL HU and 6M games, as well as PLO
- 12,500 hands/week(or ultimately 50k/month)
- Dont tilt
- 50 buyins before moving up levels
- 2-4 Buy in Stop Loss (depending on how I feel about my play at that point)
- Analyzing my game more(hand review, watching cr vids, etc)
- Ultimately be playing mid-high stakes by 2k9(unless I find I am not good enough, or can not beat them for as much as lower stakes)
In other news, it seems my pneumonia is gone, finally. I should be able to start working out again which will help my mood tremendously. I am also going in for A.D.D. testing this tuesday, which hopefully will result in a prescription for adderol.
Anyways, im off to study

| | SMOTHER YOUR CHILDREN WITH RAGE by SakiSaki, February 17
Best day in a long long time. Ive been destroying the hu tables all day with undiscriminating rage. I havent played one good player on ipoker hu yet. Some of the weaker regs have started refusing to play me which kinda sucks but I will get by. I busted in the ftops main event after like 2-3 hours. I was playing well imo but I was card dead throughout the donkament, failed a couple of steals and all of a sudden I was short and shoved AJ into AK. I swapped 10% with pinball and hes still in it so Im hoping he will take it down.

My day (2 separate sessions). It's amazing how well things can go when flips are really 50/50 and overpairs actually hold 80%+ of the time. This was also hilarious too, and I guess this had to happen in my favor eventually. Last time I was involved with something like this it was AA vs AA and I obviously lost .

First of all, let it be known that I'm worthless. Secondly, I don't think I can run worse than I have been in poker, im pretty sure ive cashed in one tournament out of my last 30+ tournaments. Sorry to anyone who staked me, I promise i gave 100% of my effort and tried my best because i need a score in something more than anyone right now.
I owe my parents 600 dollars, I can't find a job anywhere because i live in a rural piece of shit town with 800 population and there aren't a lot of local opportunities. I also owe albonycee $50 which I have at the moment but haven't paid him for whatever reason, so i'll probably do that after i post this even though I really can't afford to take the hit to my br.
I also somewhat wrecked my truck last night, I was at my old highschool gym playing basketball with other graduated people and after I got out it was really dark out and raining really hard. This combined with my illegally dark window tint makes it really hard to see and as i was backing out i hit the back fender of a camaro with my door (ugh)
I can't afford to get that fixed and my parents really came down hard on me about it and everything else and how im worthless and stuff. It sucks when they are right and you can't do anything about it.
I probably could find a job, but I have too much of an ego to keep harassing the people who have interviewed me and stuff. I hate my life so much right now and I really don't wanna lose my truck.
I'm gonna try to start playing 5k + hands a day in an effort to do something, but mch like neilyl I have a hard time ever pulling these things off but im pretty much in dire straits and it's this or nothing.
I sure would love to heal the stress and shit in my life, it's killing me.

| | Going Vegas and WSOP! by Balzamon, February 17
Since my past two blog entries been fairly depressing i guess a happy update for once would be nice! Not only is moving down to nl200 to rebuild confedence going pretty well (running 2.5 ptbb over 30k hands which im ok with) but today i had my first BIG donkament score. The 10 highest people from a ladder today played a 10man Sit&Go with some great prizes:
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/4066/wsophollaut8.jpg
SHIP!
So a $7500 WSOP package which i believe is some 5k event + 2500 for the trip! If i find a good deal i may sell my donkament spot but either way i will be in Vegas during Wsop!
Lastly thanks to Dzoo who was railing me and giving advice during the tourmanet! <3

| | February + Sunday tourneys by sTrAtO, February 17
Woke up today very excited cause I was going to have a nice tournament schedule:
-$215 Sunday Warmup
-$256 FTOPS#19
-10k fpps $2M Turbo Takedown
-$11 Sunday Hundred Grand
-$215 Sunday Million
-$535 FTOPS Main Event
But given of how bad my run is I'm 2 inches away from a emotional breakdown, cause I've been running awful since my $20K win and dropped about $8K in the last 20days and nothing that I can do would make me feel better or run better. I feel like I am playing my best game but things just don't go my way.
In cash games, I'm not going to make a deep blog analysis, except for they love to give me KKvsAA, AK can't beat QQ, my QQ won't hold vs AK, etc.
In tourneys, Stars just won't let me cash, fuck their AKvsQQ with 10ppl for the bubble.
Sunday tournaments recap.
Sunday Warmup
I'm destroying my fucking table:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/386951 - T7s is always good against cdbr3799 in a 8-2-2 rainbow flop.
and everything goes to the trash in 2 hands:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/386917 - AdKd vs QhQs in a JdTd4h flop (38k pot)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/386930 - AKo vs A5o. bigstack donk minraises, A5 moves in (i dont blame him) and runs into my AKo.
good fucking game
FTOPS #19
Standard card dead before the 1st break. 99 runs into KK. best hand holds (fucking miracle)
Sunday Hundred Grand
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/386925 - flopped nutflush vs guy's two pair. My play probably sucked.
$2M Turbo Takedown
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/386924 - AKs vs 99 and QQ. A-x-x flop. Obv didn't hold.
Given this. I'm not going to play the Million and FTOPS Main Event. As I said, I'm fucking demoralized and even though I should not drop these 2 tourneys cause of my bad run, I'm going to do it. Going to keep my poker game regulated in the next days. And gonna have to implement a lose-stop unless im running good (which dont seem to happend soon)...
Alrite take care.
Oh yeah, and please visit my city: http://pakispakis.myminicity.com/tra
Thanks

Brag: Hu is still ez, sustainable?

Beat: My computer has broken down. I tried reformating it but I cant even manage that, somehow the computer just blacks out just as the installation program is about to start and I have tried this with several cds. I have given up for now and ill have to settle for my awesome dell xps laptop.
Variance: I managed to qualify into ftops main event in a 12k fpp sattelite. Even though I hate donkaments with a passion Its going to be pretty fun to play this one and prices are huge.

Its really bad month for me.Lost 8/9 of my bankroll over 17 days thats like 40 buy ins... Mostly coz of suckouts had bad plays too though. Still cant believe it from 20nl i ll be starting on 5nl next month ( since i wont be playing till end of month ).I should be going on 50nl not going down by 2 limits.Well i cant really be pissed at anyone ( thought i sweared the stupid prima software really really much i got sucked out exactly 7 times IN A ROW by a 2-5 outer IMFUCKINGPOSSIBLE ). Honestly i have no idea nor desire to play for some time now i wanted to get to 50nl so badly that i lost my bankroll coz of stupidity mainly not taking breaks when on bad run and so on...Im still concidering retiring i had 2 bancrutes so far wont handle a third one that would mean i would have to play Freerolls all over again building bankroll from the dust.Doubt that anyone would stake me for 20nl.Well thats pretty much everything i had to say i know u dont care but i feel better ty.
P.S. i d be really thankfull if someone links me to a guy that owns low stackes 5-25nl with more than 10bb/100 ( lal that used to be me last 2 months) so i can have a look through his hands

| | Poker $$ Investments by Babygrand, February 17
Last Quarter I met a famous European actor who runs a hedge fund firm in Hong Kong. He receives free advisement from Suneil Mahindru, one of the best advisers on the globe. These guys got me 22% return on my money last quarter and are the real deal.
So why does this matter to you? Well, I set up a direct transfer from my poker account to my investment account. The principal is 98.5% guaranteed (if the portfolio loses money for the first quarter in history, you only lose 1.5% for fed fund charges) to the point of an Asian market collapse. The guy that runs it is intrigued by poker, so he set up his own poker account. We worked out details from there.
So if anyone wants to start investing poker $$, let me know. It is a good way to get rid of some of the short term risk of a big bankroll.
P.S. I know I wasn't going to post on LP anymore, for those who read the chaotic thread. But I like LP aside from a few ass holes. And Nazgul was kind enough to apologize for some of the mods actions. So I will continue posting.

| | Weekend summary by Ezekiell, February 17
I played 3 sessions this weekend. After the first one, i sweared to God i won't play a hand next weekend. I ran so bad, that it's unbelievable. If i had a hand, everyone folded, my cbets didn't work, and after a couple of coolers/bad beats, i quited. Oh, i forgot to mention: this was a shot to 25NL, 4 tabling, i had 20 buyins. I ended up -2 BI on Saturday. I set a 3 BI stop loss for myself, so today morning, a loaded up PS, to play a bit. I guess i'm on a heater Evereything worked well, bluffs were good, calldowns too, u know what it's like, don't you?
I'm in a bit hurry, cuz my gf comes to me in a half an hour, so i just paste some stats+graph, and a few hands.

just had a 1hr, 4table session and was running pretty badly, flopping top two against bottom set and whatnot, but made some fantastic calls against the right people, and just overall playing very well. Staying loosish aggresive through my whole session and keeping the pressure on. I decided to stop and thought i was down on my session but happened to be up a buy-in!
