I really want to sustain a higher winrate than this. 6bb/100(not ptbb) doesnt seem to good. I feel like I'm capable of 10bb/100. Its really hard to say so maybe some of you can help me out. I think that most of my stuff looks pretty standard so I'm really not sure where I'm going wrong. I really like i've hit some serious coolers this month. At the beginning of the month though I did become a cardrunners member and have learned a lot from that. I've been making some pretty accurate reads in a lot of spots and experimenting with firing 2nd barrells more often only to find out that ya my read was correct but num-nuts still liked his hand enough to call me down light.
I've also started going through hands of the regulars and taking notes on everything, how they play their draws their sets, what kinds of flops they're floating or raising cbets etc. It's a long process but I think it'll pay off huge since I'm often on 4-5 tables with these same guys day in and day out.
Well wtf, just moved to play on unibet, which is also a prima site but it has its own tables in EU currency. So i started 100nl quite good - 3 days of playing and i was up like 2k EU. Than something WRONG happened and i dropped those 2k in 4 days. I just played my game all the time but my good hands were always vs monsters and my flips all lost. So wtf now im break even(or maybe worse im 1 bi behind) for like 11k hands. I think i should take a break after such big swing or something? Hands i can give for example are like this:
Well im not saying i lose money only on setups or outdraws - im sure i make mistakes too. The bad thing is that when i get 2 hands like the above in a row im getting really tilty, but i do not stop playing and put myself in bad situations(which is relally bad for me cuz i play 10 tables).
Anyways im really happy these days cuz its like 90% sure that i took my last exam for my first master degree and the only thing left is my diploma work.
Poker
So for the good part of this month I've been running like fucking trash, which was demoralizing but it also made me take some better looks at my game and resulted in fixing some minor leaks, and loosening up.
These past few days were especially hard to grind out because of the huge swongs, two days ago from -8 buyins to ending the session up two, then yesterday -7 buyins to ending down only one,and ofcourse today when I didn't get bad beated / coolerd as much, made some good plays and overall didnt run like a total turd,so I managed to finish up 8 buyins weee ship.
Unforuntately I don't have Pokertracker anymore due to the fact I reinstalled windows (actually put Vista, epic fail) due to the fact my computer randomly restarts/reboots ever since I bought new graphics card (GForce 8800GT) ,tho it doesn't shutdown in windows but when playing games such as...
Bioshock,Crysis,Counterstrike 1.6 after a certain amount of time which is somewhat random gives me Bluescreen with a error Driver IRQL less or equal and that theres something wrong with ndis.sys.
So fuck me,since I don't have a clue bout computers and no clue how to fix it...If anyone knows what could be causing this (my prime suspicion is obv graphics) let me know,I'd be very grateful.
Overall this month in poker I earned about 2k$ so far but im seriously dissapointed and demoralized with how bad I ran.
Life
My dad is in the hospital again and had a hard surgery,so tommorow im off to visit him with my bro,I feel really bad for him hes old and all that stuff, but being terminally sick is totally fucked up,for him and the rest of the family.
Besides that nothing particulary interesting happend in the last week so I guess this wrapps it up...
P.S. Was kinda suprised me,strato and that fr0sty guy are all born on March 22nd kek!Altho im one year older then they are...
So just if any good tournament player has any comments on them I would greatly appreciate.
1. Blinds 50/100
Everyone kinda same stacks (10k)
Ive been somewhat active
weak UTG+1 limps , ive raised his limp 1 time before and he folded PF.
I have 98s so I raise to 450 or so, he calls
flop : T42 2 hearts (i have hearts)
He checks, I bet 700 or so, he raises to something retarded like 1900, I reraise all in, he mumbles something and folds.
2. Blinds 50/100
Strong guy (12k chips) raises on cutoff to 400, I have Aces and reraised to 2000 on sb, he just folded.
3. blinds 200/400 antes 50
I raise on cutoff (22k chips) to 1100 with 55, strong tight guy calls from BB.
flop : JQx 2 hearts
I bet 1800, he raises to 4400, he folds
I think here would be best to check flop?
4. blinds 200/400 antes 50
I raise to 1100 with TT 1 away from cutoff with 20k stack, BB calls (no reads on him)
flop : T8x rainbow
he checks, I check
turn : A
I bet 1800, he calls
river : total x
I bet 4000, he calls, I win, he mucks. Think I shouldve overbet or pot bet river? not sure.
5. Blinds 300/600 antes 75
Guy with 11k chips or so raises on cutoff to 2100 (Reads only that he is getting frustated that he dont get hands, and his somewhat big raise indicated me he had either a small pair or a not so strong hand, but he was also kinda tilted i guess...), I have KJo on sb, and I make it 10k to go. He thinks a lot and finally calls with AT, and wins.
This was the deciding hand, I lost too many chips and started day 2 with 12k chips or so, all in mode where I lost AQ vs KK, but nothing wrong there.
I think I couldve folded sb, but I was decided to play v aggresively since start, was this too bad?, I really thought he had something weaker here, and table was really aggresive as well (this was my first 3 bet at the table, on like 3 orbits tho, I did opened A LOT).
Is this kinda variance normal for 50cent?by 27s, February 22
This is kinda bothering me. I've hit some huge coolers this month which unfortunately has caused me to tilt a bit when it happens, but I always take a break if I lose $150 which is pretty good imo, and get over it. Maybe I have some big leaks though? Not sure if I should be having swings this big. I'm still pretty happy making all this extra money but I feel I'm good enough to maintain a much higher winrate than this. FWIW, absolute plays with 200bb stacks, though most players buy in short some donks still end up deepstacked and the regs mostly buy in for 200bb.
after moving up a level playing the 3+.40 10 man and the 3+.25 6 man sng's not to bad first night playing up 30 overall not to bad ROI is 27.5% much better as to compare the 1+.20 9 man sng that i grinded my br from 8 dollars to current 150 and some change so all is going well hopefully soon i will be on the 5+.50 9 man sng but i wont move up to that till i get 275 i feel much more comfortable with a 50 bi start i just couldnt take the donks on the 1+.20 9 man and all the suck outs on the dumb shit...oh well time to go watch high stakes poker and then go to bed

New, Looking for help/coachby ygperry, February 21
Hi all,
I'm fairly new to LP.net. First, I suppose I should give a little poker background about myself. I first deposited $10 on pokerstars back in September '07, and grinded to my current bankroll of $630. I have ran into a bit of a downswing over the last month (down ~$100), and believe that part of the reason is due to my bad plays & inexperience.
I have checked the lessons offered on LP.net but have not gotten any responses from the coaches I messaged. I aim to be a serious poker student and am looking for a mentor to coach my way through FR NL.10/NL.25, as well as $4 180man tournaments (as well as other microstakes MTT).
I am currently 23 and have a fulltime job, but am ambitious about poker and hope to make a second income from it eventually.
If anyone out there is willing to become my coach, please leave me a comment or PM to let me know. (Please keep in mind my current bankroll is only $630 and cannot afford very expensive coaching).
Finally got sick of the Stars doomswitching after I ran 8BIs below expectation one day, so shipped my bankroll to Betfair and began grinding 50NL there. Four days in, I'm up 30 buy-ins. Running fairly hot (about time), but I definitely think I could beat this game for at least 10ptbb/100 over the long-term given how retarded the players here are. It's like playing 10NL on Stars: full of passive fish who can't lay down top pair or even AK unimproved, and the few regulars that play there are complete idiots. PokerAce doesn't work there, and GameTime+ is stupid and unusable, so I have no stats when I play (which almost seems like a blessing as I'm forced to concentrate on reading people instead of complete dependence on numbers). Winning this easily has restored the confidence in my game, and as a result, I don't tilt as much. I still spew a lot, but I'm working on it. Now with a $2,500 bankroll, I'm going to take a few shots at 100NL here and see how things go.
I realize I just blogged but I just got some sick cool news.
I'm moving to Milwaukee to work with one of my best friends from highschool remodeling hotel rooms and shit.
gonna be sick awesome, i'm gonna get free rooming and shit and we're gonna have a good time.
Anyone from LP live near milwaukee? I'm sure im not gonna know shit to do there and it will be cool if maybe we could meet up for some drinks or something.

i dont have much in the way of PT stats anymore becuase my laptop's hdd recently went out but you can check my sharkscope + opr (but my opr is pretty fucking shitty)
wanted to ship some money back from stars to Unibet to restart grind ...
recieved an e-mail from stars that it takes up to 72h till the money is in my neteller account >-<
so i only had 70€ left on Unibet till i revieve the starts money ..
played osme sngs ....
- 12€
I quickly rememberd why i hate them so much ...
all hands seem to be 50-50
only edge is to be agressive at the right points and steal pots
bringing money in with a far better hand is pointless in low stakes sngs
why does fucking stars take up to 72h to cash to my neteller account ?
