Im still doing good at heads up. I quite enjoy playing it and its so much more fun than 6-max, atleast right now. 6-max is a good grind to kill the huge bonus I have pending and generate good rakeback but its kinda boring imo. I guess I also prefer hu right now because Im doing well at it and Im breaking even at 6-max.

My computer is still broken down and I havent bothered trying to fix it, Ill stick to my laptop for now until I start to miss my stationary comp too much. I love my laptop, there is only one problem. I cant download stuff with torrents on it. Its so frustrating and I dont really know whats wrong. Normal downloads work fine but with torrents it instantly kills my internet connection. Anyone have any ideas whats causing this?

Also for those who didnt know, Pinball, being the beast that he is, steamrolled the ftops main event taking 6th for 78~k. Pretty sweet, especially since I swapped 10% with him


Oh, and I bought an espresso machine for my appartment. Its pretty damn sick! Im a huge coffee freak and being able to make my own double espresso whenever I want to is awesomesauce!

Very linear growth of my bankroll according to this graph. Actually there are about 100$ in winnings missing cuz I didn't use PokerOffice right off the start. That graph is the combination of NL25 + NL50 + NL100. Running at 8 BB /100 over the last 11000 hands while playing 4 tables. Too bad that I had to cash out some money, otherwise I would be giving NL100 a shot.
Overall I think that I am running below my expected winnings, just a feeling.

Due to a resent downswing where I've played like shit and ran worse I'm no up 24 € over the last 40k hands I've played at 1/2€. This sucks pretty hard and even though I'll be up a fair bit thanks to rakeback and such it still very much sucks. Today I kinda got things a little bit better and most played decent enough. I think I've found a few leaks and I pretty much know pretty much what I'm doing wrong.

On a more positive note I found out that the girl from the "triss"-ads, some Swedish lottery, (you guys have seen it if you're in Sweden, she sings "så ska vi skrapa, skrapa, skrapa loss osv") is in my criminal law class. She looks pretty solid irl.

These are the stats for the last 2 days. My winrate isn't close to where I would like it to be. Running like shit, got 1 outed twice, gutshotted several times and so forth - you know the drill. I am Lucky enough to have recorded any winnings at all. Considering that I 4 table at a pace of 95 hands/h per table its quite a volume I have put in.

Apart from that life is pretty much awesome right now. Spent the last couple of days playing poker, getting my apartment nice and tidy and finalized my business plan. The latter has some real, around 30 pages long and filled with calculations and statistics, very sound work that I have put together.
Will fly to America in June and present my ideas to a couple of investors. My saved money from Poker will never ever be enough to start a business. Maybe when I am at NL400...

Celebrating the end of my first semester at university I will have a huge party tomorrow. My tiny 40m² apartment will be crowded with people drinking the alcohol I have bought(Worth about 100€ ~ 150$). 3 Bottles of Absolut and a bathtub full of beer. Lots of bitches coming too. *thumbs up*

so last week i was life tilted plus ran worse than usual, lasted for 5 days and dropped 7bi or more. stopped and reeval'ed the situation, took a mini break from poker and played extremely short sessions (stopping when up just a little)now im happy to say im ok and within striking distance again. ive got around 300 to go from where i was last saturday and i think though i may not hit 12k or more this month, 10k is still a possibility . anyway imnot waiting for 10k before i move up and ill follow capa's advice and just take a stab at 200nl and play like 12 tables instead of 24 lol. thanks too to sniderstyle for some strategies and insights to some aspects of the game i still do not understand clearly. peace and goodluck to all you guys. bye.

So iop staked me for 5 4/180s on Stars, I broke exactly even coming 9th in one and 11th in another, the first two I bombed out at 30th-40th, both times I had top two, got my chips in on the flop and both times got called by bottom pair only to see them hit runner-runner flush, twice. GG.

In the one I came 9th on I was sitting about 6th in chips on the final table, folded to me on the button, I shove 77, BB (huge stack) calls with AK and flops a full house, gg there.
When I came 12th I was pretty much average stack, I had AQ in cutoff, raised 3.5xBB and BB called, flop came 7Q2rainbow, BB checked, I bet the pot, he calls, turn is a blank, he checks, I shove, he calls and shows QQ
Oh well

Anyways for pretty much my first MTTs I think I did ok, thanks iop for staking me, hopefully I can see out grinding these $1 18mans and start playing these on a regular basis.

Anyways was really good playing for some bigger money than the usual $1 18mans. If anyone else would be interested in staking me for 2 or 3 of these bad boys let me know and I'll try to take one down for you

lolll my "got tilt?" tshirt from full tilt came today ship it bitches im now completely thru with FTP and its bullshit rigged shuffle. so fuck yeah.

and do any among you, my fellow n00b microstakes grinders, play the PStars 70FPP satellite to the Sunday Hundred Grand? this tourney is GOLD. first place is worth 11 tourney dollars and it's basically the closest thing you'll EVER come to a lp.net flippament, except you get to fold, which gives you a HUGE edge. i think i'm 4/10 ish over the history of me playing that tourney, and i won another one tonight =D the last time i was broke i built myself up from 70FPP points. I eventually went broke again with no FPPs but still... those things are lifesavers =D

i plan to donk it away on 1.75 18-man turbo SnGs which is also a huge donkathon

So, this is my first live poker experience. I turned 21 three months ago and me and my cousin decided to hit up this tournament at a local casino. $50 buy-in, and $3 gets you another 500 chips added to your 1500 stack. There was 20 or so people and the prize pool was $1080 and top two get paid.

I played standard TAG and there was a lot of newbs on the scene who didn't know what blinds were / what the minimum raise was and etc. A few hands go by and I pick up 55 in MP. There is two limpers and I raise to 250. First limper calls, and second folds. Flop is KJ3, it goes check check. J turn, with now two spades on the board. He checks again, I fire 3/4 pot. Q river and he checks, I put him all in and he calls... and mucks, WTF? Anyways, I get a good pot out of that.

Few hands later, UTG limps, UTG + 1 raises 3x + limper, I raise 3x with KK. Everyone else folds and I put on my Phil Ivey impersonation and the guy does a Hollywood before announcing "All-in" I neck-snap call and he grunts like a bitch. He has QQ and he misses the board.

So now I'm chip leader at the table and still playing TAG and my cousin goes out with K4s and I'm like wtf mate? Newb.

Final table and I'm 2nd in chips starting and there are like 3 extremely short guys, like 6-7 BBs and they literally wait till they have 1-2 BB before going all-in. Fucking newbs.

This donk at my table who would go all-in / call shove with any Ace was battling it out with this old dude (who was my biggest threat, he knew how to play). Old dude raises 3x in the SB, donk calls. Old dude insta-shoves flop on 238 and donk says some retarded shit like, "Well, I'm hungry so I call." Old dude flips over J9o and donk calls with A5o, turn is a J and river is a 4. Old dude shakes his head saying somethin' like "and this is why people can't win tournaments."

I lol to myself softly as now it's down to final three. Me, donk, and semi-donk (plays any suited ace). I'm 2nd in chips still with blinds at 600/1200 with 300 antes (strong ante) and donk limps in on the button and semi-donk folds. I look at my shit, BOOM AQo and I have a stack of like 13k or so and I shove. Donk says "O rlly?" I put on Ivey impersonation and he asks for how much I have. I count it out but donk ends up folding his garbage.

Blinds are up to 1k/2k with mofuckin' 400 ante or somethin' and I am 2nd in chips at this point and I fold on the button. Donk is SB and shoves all-in and semi-donk calls with A4o, donk has 69o. Semi-donk's hand holds up and boom, we are final two. First gets like 780 and second gets 280 or somethin'.

I steal some blinds and we are about even in cheaps and like 10 hands into the heads-up he asks if I want to chop, I was like wtf? I wasn't even aware of chopping until now and I didn't mind getting $540 for my first night of poker so we chopped. I tipped the dealer $20 and he was like O_O thx!

Anyways, shit was fun as hell and easy at the same time. I'm going out again tomorrow to play in another $40 tourney so that should be fun.

Hey there, I've just finalized my flight plans for my European adventure and have conclusive dates of when I'll be in what city.

I still haven't booked hotels because I'm hoping my friendly LP'ers could suggest some good hotels near popular nightlife areas for me! So here are the dates:

March 13th-17th - London, England
March 17th-20th - Prague, Czech Rep.
March 20th-24th - Amsterdam, Netherlands

I've never been to any of these cities, so any suggestions would be welcome. And if you're looking to meet up at any of these places let me know and we can work out plans. I'm also going to try to get to a football match or two so if anyone knows any good matches to check out or wants to come along let me know.

hi lo. so i've been playing this lately... .01/.02 pl hilo... real ez game. two nights ago i ran $5 up to like 25, lost $20 of that at texas hold em in $2 HU SNGs and a stupid .02 table where people were pushing all in preflop...i lost two hands where i put $3 pre (QQ, rivered gutshot, 88, rivered pair) which brought me back down to $5, and i'm back up to $25 again after playing some hilo today and yesterday...but i don't really know what's good etc. people just like gettin taken to value town when you have the nuts.

so basically what should i be calling with preflop? how should i play draws...etc etc. you know, basic noobie questions. and i see like 4 people limping pre every hand, if i have a "mediocre" hand should i be limped also, or is it just raise/fold preflop
