Its been awhile since I've posted in this blog. I spent most of February studying for the bar exam, so I didnt get a chance to really do much. Despite that I did get a fair amount of hands in. Played about 6k hands, think I was an overall loser for the month, but due to Cake not allowing PT I dont know for sure.

Anyway, recently transferred some of my roll to Stars so I can get PT, PAHud and whatever else and actually start keeping track of my play and fixing some leaks. Thus far my biggest leak seems to be running horridly. In the 800 or so hands since I've been using PT, I've lost with AA 3/5 times, KK 3/4 times and QQ 4/4 times. Where the hell is my two week welcome back heater? I thought this was standard on stars. So, here I am, playing 2NL on stars and sucking ass. I can beat 20NL on cake, but not 2NL on stars, which is retarded. I'm quickly getting annoyed, as I seem to do every time I try to go back to Stars for any amount of time. I think I will stick it out this time though as I want to grind my way up on Stars just to prove to myself that I can. Eventually the running bad has to stop right?

On another note, I cashed out most of my roll from cake to pay some bills and what not as this has been a very, very expensive month for me. In addition to bar exam costs (almost 2 grand altogether), I've also had both parents, one sister and my girlfriend's birthdays this month and valentines day. And a couple of friend's birthdays too where we've gone out and spent money. I have pretty expensive habits and sometimes they catch up to me and put me in the hole for the month. This month with all the added expenses, I just felt like I needed a little financial boost so I cashed out almost everything I had on cake leaving me with a roll for 10NL but nothing more. So I guess that means time to really grind and build my roll back up so I can get to 25NL by the end of the month again.

My goals for March are to rebuild my roll and be at least close to 25NL. I have a lot of days where I wont be able to play this month, so not sure how many hands I will get in. However, I am learning that Stars is MUCH faster than Cake, so I should be able to get in a decent amount. I'll set my goal at 7k hands. We'll see what happens.

i didn't really play much this month. I had a 4k day yesterday for the double vpp thing but other than that, not really.

This month was fun life-wise tho

February sucked really bad. Worst month of my career so far (but its cool, I expect to have worse months, hopefully not soon, but because I'm starting out and don't have that much time playing, so far, it is my worst month).

Lost like $6500 overall, not going to get into details but the month really sucked. Didn't learn anything till the end where I sat down and watched CR vids and it helped me to fix a few leaks.

I regret of what I said in my last blog about February 29th. Turned out to be the best day of the month lol ;P The PokerStars promo was nice. I made $550 at NL100 FR in 4000hands, along with 2200VPPs and 5500FPPs. I wish I could have played more but didn't have much time during the day.

So thanks for clicking at my city and GL in this new month
My 20th birthday is on March 22nd gogo :D

The brother of a friend of a friend of mine took down the Party Poker Bad Beat Jackpot last night for 187k

He plays 0.10/0.25 obv. (5/10 now imo)

On a sidenote: Took good advantage of 29th on Stars, played about 7k hands for 5800 VPP (platinum for the first time) and ~12k FPP. 40" inch screen will be shipped soon I hope <3

Can someone suggest me some good movies preferably comedies family stuff since u can relax while watching them and etc.I think i've watched every good comedy there is so i cant really seem to find a good movie to watch.Also has anyone of you watched Jumper?Is it worth watching?Also any kind of movie is welcome as long as its not horror since horrors are soooo boring and no movies from Tarantino since they are just SICK! ( if u watched his last 2-3 movies u ll know what im talking about no plot only blood )

Turned out to be a good month. I dropped some money at the end of the month but thats just to be expected after my sick heater. I still havent played one player I dont have a significant edge on HU imo.

I think my biggest leak in HU is starting out spewy. I dont really know how much of a leak it is but I usually start out a HU match losing money. I play agressively make some bluffs and maybe herocall in some spots. This just helps me build a retard image and formulate good reads against the players. Once I have played like 100-200 hands with a player I usually have a good idea on how to take all his money. The problem is, alot of players leave way to soon. They double up, bleed like 20bbs and realise I own them so they leave while they are still up. I dont think I have ended down in one HU match that has lasted longer than an hour but I lose a buyin here and there to ppl who double up and leave.

Also, there is not one regular who will play me HU anymore. I have a really hard time to find good action and I usually end up playing some retard shortstack with 15bbs playing push/fold. BLEH!

Im going to have to start playing some 6-max again because its just really hard to get a good HU grind going. I dont mind it all to much though, the 6-max games are really soft and alot less stressful to grind. I will try to get in alot of hands in March, both HU and 6-max.

So I'm still doing pretty well in the $1/18mans, but there are some things I still need to really work on which I think will help my play immensely.

Firstly, ranges, there are times in a SNG where I have trouble deciding if some hands are +EV to call/shove or not, even if they turn out to be a very profitable/unprofitable play. I need to learn the math to this as at the moment I only understand it very basically.

Secondly, I need to discipline to watch my tables a bit more, I know they're only $1 SNGs but I find I play my best when I'm not talking on MSN, watching a movie in the corner of my screen or reading LP/P5s, I need to concentrate more on the players around me. I think my strength in poker is my observation/memory abilities, I need to hone these.

Thirdly, ICM, obviously I know what it is and the basics of it but I really want to get into the nitty gritty stuff, I've downloaded Pokerstove and SNG Power tools but I'm still very much learning how to use them.

If anyone has any good links to the basics of ranges/ICM as well as guides to pokerstove and SNGPT please reply here!

When my BR allows I'll be moving up to the $4/180s so the importance of these things will increase dramatically. Also, if anyone wants to stake me for a few $4/180s I'll share a 50% profit, I've only broken even over my first 4.

Brag - Up 12k @ 2/4 + 3/6 in Feb over 40k hands
Beat - Lost my poker database with almost 900000 hands. (still have hands in txt files.. but PT won't let me import them )
Variance - +8 buyins on 5/10 today.

Whatsup everyone!? Thank goodness February is out of the window! I don't know how you guys did but it was really really a depressing/suicidal month for me. I will post my graph below but disclaimer:those with weak stomachs don't look!

For March I plan on playing 30k hands 4-6 tabling and really focus on getting better and making my max potential of money. I hope to move up to 2/4NL full time by the end of this month and possibly 3/6. I am going to try out a little program for fun where I move up every 10 buyins I make and move back down every 5 buyins I lose. I will start at 200NL and will go as high as it takes me. If I start losing and have to go back down to 200NL 3x then I will scrap the program and re evaluate. Anyhow here is the graph I promised.

Ok, so ive already made a few blogs about my progress this month, but i figure since its over and im not playing any more tonight, id put this up. Most of it was pretty much 50nl fr, though i did play 25nl fr, 50nl 6max, and at the end about 600 hands of 100nl fr.

Back in december i placed well enough in some sngs (some of which were out of my br lol) and by the end of the month i was rolled to play 25nl. ABout a week after i was rolled for 25nl i went to a casino with some friends and i didnt lose much, but i was doing wierd things, like raising A9o utg, and so i started to play fr online rather than 6max in order to improve my game (and im told its less swingy).

Late Jan i started playing 50nl cus i was sorta rolled for it and my buddy syntax was calling me a br nit for not taking shots at it. It didnt go too well and i had to drop down until a week into feb when i got fed up and started playing 50nl again and thats pretty much what ive been playing for the month.

As can be seen on the graph i had two large downswings. Obv its mostly bad play, but for the last two days ive been running very well and i also made my bonus so my br is up, but now im being told to jump up again to 100nl and start taking shots, but im still a pretty horrible player. I dunno though. Am i just running well, or have i improved? Ive started reading some poker books, which is something i didnt do before and im trying to analyze my hands more and i do get some advice from other players, but i still do some pretty dumb things. I do appreciate some of the comments by other players and would def appreciate some more.

I dunno. I think ive improved, but i fear my progress has pretty much just been me on a heater. Im going to start taking shots at 100nl, but i think this might be a bad idea.
