| | Rebuilding is more boring than my essays by Critterer, March 25
Keep getting into huge pots and losing them rofl, taking ridiculous amount of time to move up through.
Cant focus poker too much atm anyway, still 22bb/100 over 7.5k hands at nl2 ¬_¬,
Hopefully ill stop getting sucked out in 1000bb pots and my winrate can increase.

| | Easter Weekend Run by Silver)Z(, March 25
So goal was: “to play 8 hours of good solid poker every day of the Easter break”
Failed this Time
http://www.hmsbrilliant.com/diary/dimages/Antelope%20Snk1.jpg
Worked well for the first 2 days but then hit a standard downswing and had to stop playing as much. Probably didn’t stop soon enough and made some spewy plays.
Was up 9 buy-ins but lost 6 on the afternoon of the third day, and 3 more next morning. Finished up only 1 buy-in for the weekend.
I did achieve platinum star (in fact when I achieved that was when lee turned on the doomswitch)
I think I did tilt somewhat after not being able to win a hand for 4 hours:
-after playing loose for a few orbits I did not tighten up as usual
-playing back at regulars, getting 1/3 of my stack in the folding in pissing contests.
This was mostly in 3 bet pots.
-possibly 4betting frequency too high vs regulars who can see through it, and spots where I choose to take a stand vs reshoving on my 4bets.
-some river bet/folds where I only beat a bluff, but opponent may well have been bluffing.
When I’m running bad I just have to take a break from poker, then when I come back make sure to watch some poker vids and read some articles for an hour to get my head on straight before I play.
I’m really trying to figure out bluffing and re-bluffing vs aggressive players, trying to get the frequencies theoretically correct.
Also playing close attention to pots I give up on, I have definitely been getting a lot of money in then folding too often, definitely leaking here vs fearless players.
Not quite sure how to go about doing this, but I’ll start by reviewing hands, calculating some %s and making some adjustments to my overall game plan.
Gotta get to thinking clearly and consistently.
Ok, going to try the same thing next weekend, Till then~

| | 10 Hour Session by Bigbobm, March 25
Not much to say. Started running like crap the second I started my session. I think in all I lost like 7bi net with KK vs AA. At around 6k hands in I sent this to a friend,
[22:01] Bob: -9 bi 6400 hand sin
[22:01] Bob: pretty sure im not stopping till im even
Why? Because fuck having red in my PT, thats why. Ship the sick music that kept me motivated during the session, and of course, the rakeback. This is all 50nl btw.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/d380e1a7ca9521cda4e0fc18892b0afa.jpg
also did it with no bathroom/food breaks and pretty sure no tilt. i tried to tilt once, but i misclick folded and he showed the nuts.

| | back from break by Big_Rob_48, March 25
sup guys, I recently took about a month break. I feel pretty good, but I played tonight and I felt a little out of it. I think I am going to play 200 nl for a while until I feel comfortable again, and then jump up back into 400 nl. I made about $800 today anyway cuz i ran hot, so thats always nice.
I subscribed to leggopoker.com, and I think one thing that makes me feel pretty happy is that I rarely learn anything new or eye opening from them, so far at least. The one video of greg and aejones battling hu actually was great tho. I think the only thing I saw was HU a guy said that "this was a good spot to bet because he might think he is rebluffing me and I will call him with my Ace" after he c/r flop with AT on a AQx board and then checked x turn and then he said it when he bet a Q river. He called the shove and the guy turned over A3 for a made hand turned bluff. Weird but interesting hand.
In other news, I bought the Samsung 305t and it should be here tuesday or wednesday, but I feel more excited for it than for christmas. I really can't wait to put it by my 2 19's and maybe 3 monitor it up, or maybe it alone might be good enough. I am gettin a boner just thinkin about it ; ) heh, anyway questions or comments plz reply.

| | Sick good week gets better? by rANDY, March 24
So today i moved up to NL50, good session, up just over 2 buy ins. Play a few mtts but bust early, then decided i'll play the $20k guarenteed while watching some bw vods, get deep, and before i know it ive cashed and have double the average stack, so close the vods and start to concentrate. Ended up getting to the FT and busting in 3rd 3 bet shoving with A6s for 2.2k, xelin bought 25% of me tho when we were down to 500 players for $25 so he gets a nice payoff too.

Hey, what's up everyone? My name is Shawn, 22, from Chicago,IL. I been playing poker for about 4 years online. As of right now I am playing .25/.50 NLHE on pokerstars with a bankroll of 1200. My intention with the blog is to keep it as a motivation, for sharing strategy, talking poker over with other's at my level, which I think will be very helpful.I would appreciate it if anyone who would like to talk poker, who is currently at the same level I am pm me or comment on my blog. I plan on updating and putting up hands at least a few times a week. Thanks a lot everyone, GL at the tables.

| | PLO is awesome!! ^^ by Ftrunkz, March 24
so last night, im getting a bit bored and tired after i decided i wouldnt play any more cash for the night after spewing a bit, so i was looking around team liquid and found the post about stinger's graph... So i figured i'd open 4 tables PLO and see how i went...
http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/5944/lolplopf5.jpg
my god. Obviously a disgusting heater, and I'm not sure if I can even beat the game yet...
Anyway, enough brag, just wondering, are those stats there normal of a PLO 6-max player? too lose? too tight? I seem to limp a lot from the sb getting sucked in, which i know is bad in hold'm, but im not quite sure if it's as bad in PLO?
Also wondering if many other people on LP play much PLO. I'm pretty interested in learning it a lot more, it seems really fun (obviously anything would when you're running this sick tho) and a good change from NL.

| | Really down right now :( by CrownRoyal, March 24
I'm homesick, I miss my family, I miss my friends.
I can't beat poker since december, my tilt has found a new level and I'm sick frustrated with it all. I think I'm down 3-4k from poker since december which isn't even a big deal except i hate losing and even though i would like to say that it doesn't affect how I play/my mood it does.
I dunno wtf my problem is but I'm quitting online poker and just gonna save my money. I generally would like to consider putting money into poker as investing but I guess I can't beat the game anymore.
I bought a new epic rpg recently that I haven't played much "Lost Odyssey" for Xbox360. I think im gonna go enjoy it.

Hello! After a 7 month break i've decided to start playing again!
I stopped last time after getting nowhere on FT. withdrew the $600 i deposited having only cleared 1/4 of the bonus and withdrew myself from the poker scene.
The last few weeks though I've had the odd craving to play again - so a couple days ago i deposited $50 on pstars (first time deposit) and am having fun grinding NL2

Broke even yesterday and started today out pretty good and went into shit after a while. Ended the day down 1 buyin after before up 2 and have a 33% win $ at showdown. Hope this isn't the start of another downswing cause once a month is enough.
I really want hope to get to NL100 by the end of the month with 30 buyins which isn't too far off.
I think I have a little problem with tilt. The few minutes after I get sucked out on I make some bad decisions and even though its only a short while it costs me.

| | Brag Blog :) by dafcnz, March 24
Hey guys, I don't have PT so I can't brag with a graphic but here are my stats on Hold'em indicator (which I get for free, not as good as PT but does a bit of what PAHUD does and a bit of stats keeping).
Hands: 455
VPIP: 36
PFR: 14
AF: 4.6
WSD: 11%
WSDW: 65%
Balance: +154$
Basically turned the 50$ instant bankroll on UB with a bit of a degen strategy (played way over my limit, 25/50NL) into 204$. Played a bit looser than I usually do, blaming it on my transition from FR to 6max, really loving the fact that there are more 6 handed tables on UB than where I used to play (PP and IPN). In other news, went for the daily 32k MTT on FTP, beat most pros in ranking but still placed out of the money. Very poor ROI on mTTs but thats to be expected, I play for the experience and the challenge more. I think UB is where I'm settling. The software tilts the fuck out of me but hell, the games are incredibly soft for online poker and players "respect" your bets a bit more (less chasers hitting trips and flushes on rivers).

| | Ultimate Fight Night pics and a few other things by Fox, March 24
So training is going well. I was able to meet up with some ATT members. Thiago alves and Marcus Aurelio. Thiago is pretty beastly both seem cool I didn't get to train with them much. Mostly they were using our gyms facility to train before the UFN in colorado.
Here are the fights and i'll make some picks.
Kenny Florian Vs. Joe Lauzon-
Good fight. This is not easy to pick. Kenny has really good technique and he's very calm and paces himself. But this is not a 5 round fight, if it was i'd say he would have a large advantage. i think Joe's explosive ability gives him a good chance in the fight. This is a very even fight but i'm going to pick Joe as the upset by UD. I don't know if he can finish kenny but if he does it's going to probably be strikes from mount.
Thiago Alves Vs. Karo Parisyan-
Also good fight. Karo is one of my fav guys because i'm a judo fan this fight is pretty close. Thiago has great kicks and karo being a judo fighter might have issues because he's used to planting being a judoka. I don't think this will be an issue since karo has upgraded from a judo guy into a true mma fighter.
I think karo should win this, he will get in the clinch and take thiago down and either ground him for 3 rounds or pound him. I don't think he gets a sub against him. Karo's problem is if thiago gets top position which i think is unlikely but if he does get on the bottom to thiago he could be in for a world of hurt. But considering karo is rarely on his back i think this is karo's fight to lose.
Matt Hamill Vs. Tim Boetsch-
Tim is a big strong dude who likes to hit things. Unfortunately Matt has serious strength and i don't think tim can muscle him around. Matt also has a strong chin so i see this being tim hurting him early but matt controlling him 3 rounds for a decision.
Kurt Pellegrino Vs. Nathan Diaz -
man so many good fights. Both these guys are good on the ground. But Diaz's camp is so good and he'll be so prepared until he faces a really strong fighter i'm picking him to win by sub. I think he wins this by RNC/armbar/triangle/whatever he wants. But this is gonna be a good ground war.
James Irvin Vs. Houston Alexander-
Flip a coin. Houston is undersized and james is a large dude but man whoever connects can win this. I'm going to say Houston because i think he has quicker hands and against james i think he can ko him before he gets koed. James might take this to the ground (might) and maybe he could win there... but most like houston by manly right hook.
Gray Maynard Vs. Frank Edgar-
omfg this is gonna rock. Gray is a really good wrestler and a strong fighter. But edgar is just a beast and he looks so normal but he's just run through everyone in the ufc. I think this ends with frank winning standing and keeping gray off guard with shoots. I don't think gray can take frank down... this could be frank winning by strikes standing/finishing on the ground. or a UD. This is a bad fight for gray.
This could be a tuneup fight to give Frank a title shot against the penn/joe winner or a rematch between him and tyson.
Josh Neer Vs. Din Thomas-
this fight could be the main event if it was another day. Din vs Josh two great fighters. If Din comes back 100% from the injury he wins this by strikes/sub/decision. It hink more like decision cuz josh is really tough as nails but this is din's fight for sure he's more well rounded and more athletic. The only thing Josh may have is a bigger heart.
Ryan Roberts Vs. Marcus Aurelio-
Marcus by sub the end.
Jeff Cox Vs. Manvel Gamburyan-
If manny's shoudler holds together he wins 1st round. Jeff is a can.
Samy Schiavo Vs. Clay Guida-
Guida could be champ in ANY OTHER ORG but in this org he faces so many tough fighters. He was crushing the shit out of huerta before he lost. his fight against tyson was super close and i think he wins that 50/50 of the time. Guida is a beast and he just outpaces everyone with his pace and cardio. If he ever became champ it would be so ahrd to beat him in 5 founds. Samy is gonna get his clocked cleaned by my hero.
Roman Mitichyan Vs. George Sotiropoulos-
Great fight for both guys. I see george by strikes on top in the 2nd round.
Anthony Johnson Vs. Tom Speer-
After tom got assraped by Mac it's hard to say how good he really is on the ground. never seen johnson fight before so i can't comment. I'm hoping Mac is just REALLY good on the ground and just made tom look bad and tom is actually good. gnp 3 rounds for a decision to Tom.

| | Project Rebuild - update + Pretty graphs. by Bigbobm, March 24
So it's been 2 weeks since I first started grinding 25nl on FTP. The short 100nl session and 50nl heads up session was when Subaru came over my house for a live sweat and I ran pretty decent for that. I probably wont be at 100nl for a little while longer as I want to be able to jump right into 16 tabling and you need quite a few buyins for that. I just recently broke the 2.2k br mark from the original 500 start 2 weeks ago, so I'm pretty happy. So anyway heres like the stats and graph and stuff.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/9b0f8cf8c7739091923875094dcc0fed.jpg
For those of you wondering, I've been 16 tabling nl50 and playing like a huge nit. I hope to keep up the progress for the rest of the month so I can buy that laptop with FTP points that I mentioned in my last update. I'll probably do another update next week as an end of the month update, but until then gl nits.
As for some other stuff going, I'll probably be at Foxwoods for the WPT events, and I hope to have 3 more interviews done (including a special interview) within the next few weeks, so keep checking back every now and again.

Well all I've managed to pull off is a break even and the cashout still didn't work. Kinna in a bad mood due to many bad beats and lot of annoying spot head up where I didn't fold and should have which leads me to tilt more again. Had a very shitty easter break and will be very tired for my next week of work.
