| | Unsuccessfull month by Kapol, April 01
March was just meh. I broke even in poker and didn't make it through group stage in a countrywide billiards tournament . Thank god the month is over.
My plans for April: play 60k hands (have never done it before - 55k is my personal best), play a lot of pool and start going to the gym finally (gotta drop some kilograms, 93 (205 pounds) doesn't sound or look nice :D).
Don't feel like writing a lot.
Bye

| | feb+march by SneakrFreakr, April 01
So I haven't posted almost anything in the last 2 months. These are my stats and a graph for the last two months. Havent played much at all cause I was pretty busy with uni and partying etc. In fact I only played like 10k hands in February. March was better and I managed to play 30k hands. Had like a 16 buyin downswing in February. Beginning of March was breakeven for quite a while but then I started running better and won decent moniez for the month.
February stats:

March stats:

February + March graph:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/8624b6e367b9aad48a2100c1ca8a3073.jpg
As you can see in the stats, I've been playing nl400 both in dollars and euros. nl400 in euros actually works out as nl600 in dollars. Because of that I'm not sure exactly how much I lost in February and how much I won in March. I also made like 1k or a bit less in rakeback in February. Should be like 2k this month. Maybe more cause I got some bonuses as well.
I was planning on putting a huge update as for IRL but I'm definitely too lazy for it. I'm still in Poland now, pretty sick and degen time. Going back to the UK on Sunday. I've got like 5 exams in April and May. So I'll try to study for them quite a bit and play a lot of poker at the same time. Then I've got like 4 month long holidays. Should be pretty awesome. Loads of plans but as you probably noticed, most of my plans never get past the "planning period". Let's hope this time it's going to be different. I soooo wanted to go to Vegas this summer but it's pointless when I'm not 21 yet I guess. Next year I guess, meh.
That's it I guess. Pretty boring entry. I'll just brag about a call I made yesterday when taking a shot at HU nl400: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/415479
Oh and definitely check out the new album by The Kooks - Konk. Sick good - just like their previous one.

Hmmm what to say. I started full time work as a Risk Analyst with Deloittes and have played less hands than usual and have just tried to cram hands with alot of tables which has increased my variance and stress. May try to cut down on hands and just play only when i am focused. Balancing poker and work life has been extremely difficult and thus March has been up and down a lot.
I aint a great player and have many leaks that and I ran horribly at 5/10 which contributed to a 13k downswing.
With out further a due

| | Heads up hand Quiz by rnbsalsa88, April 01
Villain is a bad regular. He just picks bad spots. He 3-bets too much, and is overaggressive. He is very bluffable. He c-bets almost every flop. He tends to overplay his hands in reraised pots. This is early in the match, he won those chips against someone else. I've seen him play, but our match started recently.
Hero ($246.25)
Button ($839.90)
Preflop: Hero is BB with Ad, Qh.
Button raises to $6, Hero raises to $20, Button calls $14.
Flop: ($40) Js, Qs, 7s (2 players)
Hero bets $34, Button calls $34.
Turn: ($108) Kd (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $76
Hero?
What do you think about my turn check? Would you guys c/f, c/c, or c/rai? What kind of range do you think he has here?

| | March results by BJLTNYK, March 31
Welp March was by far my best month ever. Put in alot of volume early in the month and tired at the end. I've barely played the past like 5 days. I started the month at 25NL FR and worked my way up to 100NL FR. The swongs at 100 were pretty heavy and it was a little difficult to get used to. I added some 50NL HU to break the monotony of the cash grind up in addition to playing some SNGs. I also played the Sunday Mill last week and cashed which was nice. Graphs are broken up into two parts because I started a new DB mid-month. I just cashed out 2.1k so that I'm comfy IRL so it's back to 50NL FR to regain some confidence. With that said off to the results!

| | March summary: solid cash results + WSOP package by Joe, March 31
March is over, so lets make a summary about what happened, especially poker-wise.
I started this month not very good being about breakeven after the first week. Then things slowly started to go better again, which was good because I was going to play in the Vienna's Spring Poker Festival 3,150€ tournament and confidence was definately needed.
So, I headed off to Vienna for about a week. I met there with Kon (CasinoCasino), who is a cool guy and who bought some action from me, because I didnt feel very comfortable paying the whole buyin myself. The tournament was very good and I also did pretty solid, but failed to reach the money - I busted in 30th place ouf of 172 players after 2 pretty gay setups (AQ vs Q9 on Q94 flop and 96 vs A6 on A96 flop). But it was a good experience as I also played with a few very good players at the tables, for example with DevilFish, who played really good and gave me some inspiration on how to play tournaments. Apart from the tournament, I also played some live cash games there and made back the buyin, so I ended up about even for the whole trip.
After Vienna, I went back home. Kon went with us to stay for a few days in our house. It was definately good as he sweated me a few times and definately helped me improve my game a bit. I think my game became more solid especially preflop during this month and I really like my style now (of course I also run good which helps to it too) :-) .
So, I continued to run good in online cash games and started to play NL 5/10 as my main game, only playing 2/4 and 3/6 when the 5/10 games werent good enough. One of the reasons that I started playing 5/10 more was that I put some money on FTP, where the games seem somewhat softer than at PS plus having money on more sites allows better table selection.
Apart from Hold'Em, I also started to play a bit of Pot Limit Omaha. I am a newb in that game, so I lost a small amount, but I think I am somewhat getting it recently and with the competition being really weak at PLO 1/2 I think I can soon become a winner there.
Ok, enough talking, here are the stats for the month:
http://www.pokergamers.cz/joe/march08stats
Amount-wise I made slightly less than in the 2 previous months, but I also put in less time, so I consider this very good. Obviously I continued running very good as you can see from the stats.
The last, but probably most important, thing happenned today - I won the WSOP MAIN EVENT PACKAGE! The package is worth $12,500. I am really excited about it and looking very much forward to going to Vegas and playing the Main Event. I won it via PS WSOP Steps - I started at step 5 for $700, 4 times I ended 4th to get my ticket back, then on the 5th try I won it and got the step 6 ticket. I wanted to play it right after, but saw mig.com and some other good players playing like every single one of those tourneys. So I waited till the line-up was somewhat softer, then registered and was lucky enough to win it on my first try .

| | x-posted from 2+2 by nutshot, March 31
All,
Looking for a long term MTT stake, preferably on Stars, but I will play on FTP also if necessary.
I've had good success and some big scores playing $22-$162 freezeouts in the past year... my OPR is basically shot due to my last stake allowing me to play 55r, 100r, 200r.. and I was pretty overmatched.
However, I do have good success in those medium freezeouts and I also feel like I am +EV in the Sunday Majors.
Essentially, I'm looking for a stake for those medium-high freezeouts, not to include any rebuy tournaments as of now.
I especially feel confident in my skill at shorthanded tournaments, so I would also consider a 6-max/4-max only stake.
I would also consider grinding SNGs, as my lifetime sharkscope is pretty decent and I am pretty sure that I can beat them over a long sample.
My name on stars is nutshot2 - OPR, PokerDB, and sharkscope stats available upon request via PM.
Any questions, concerns, suggestions, or ideas can also be directed to me via PM.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Mike
edit: I'm pretty flexible and I'm up for playing pretty much anything on any schedule... so PM me and let's talk it out
also posted here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=152993&page=2
edit 2: info on my first stake is in the 3rd post below

| | 6max to HU ? by Spitfiree, March 31
So after spending like 30$ on tournaments today getting sucked out like shit on 6k and 5k gntd.I didnt really want to play 6max since i was prolly gonna tilt from the stupidest hand ever.So i decided to play some HU ( and if u r asking urself werent u gonna tilt faster on HU than on 6max the answer is NO).Happened so that the level is really easy to beat playing vs donkish opponents.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/d22a912a14f4b3921e8996e94a06b158.jpg
Now im actually thinking about moving at HU for some time was gonna be +60$ if 78os didnt crack my Aces on the flop hitting 2 pair.So anyway at least im up for the day althought i spent lotsa $ on freezouts/speed rebuy tours.

ran 11bb/100 this month overall @ 50nl 6max, 50nl HU, and 100nl 6max, but only played like 12k hands ugh
I still suck so much at playing a respectable amount of hands. Spring break chopped 9 days out of this month for me as far as playing, but beyond that I have no excuses other than that I'm basically always out from thurs-sat drinking, curing hangovers, and repeating.
I feel very confident in my ability now @ 50 and 100nl, and my bankroll is deep enough for 100nl comfortably despite my incessant cashouts for spending money. None of the regs I've seen @ 100nl are giving me many problems, really standard. 50nl regs are the same. I really want to be able to play 1k hands/day =/
Right now I only 4-6 table and I want to start 8-10 tabling as well. This could either be a huge month for me, or another small amount of hands disappointment. Its all up to me, and how badly I want it.
