Villain is a bad regular. He just picks bad spots. He 3-bets too much, and is overaggressive. He is very bluffable. He c-bets almost every flop. He tends to overplay his hands in reraised pots. This is early in the match, he won those chips against someone else. I've seen him play, but our match started recently.
Hero ($246.25)
Button ($839.90)
Preflop: Hero is BB with Ad, Qh.
Button raises to $6, Hero raises to $20, Button calls $14.
Flop: ($40) Js, Qs, 7s (2 players)
Hero bets $34, Button calls $34.
Turn: ($108) Kd (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $76
Hero?
What do you think about my turn check? Would you guys c/f, c/c, or c/rai? What kind of range do you think he has here?

its very likely he got a hand like KsJx or AxKs or KsXx.....i would just lead turn and fold to more action although youve invested a lot... |

easy fold imo, even with what you mentioned ppl are far less likely to make moves in 3 bet pots and especially on boards like that. I'd be surprised if your ahead here and if you are its a rare occurrence, or hes a super donk and it won't be hard to get his money in a better spot.
if he is making a move here what is he doing it with? if he had a big spade wouldn't he have just pushed flop? does he always 4 bet big hands like AK QQ JJ? would he have slow played a set or flush on flop?
even really aggressive players slow down in 3 bet pots and especially flops like this, if he doesn't have something here hes a spewtard.
It's just a horrible spot, when your beat you have zero outs most of the time, and when your ahead they almost always have outs. Also if he c/r he folds a bluff and calls with only hands that beat you. If you check call he gets a free card with a draw and maybe try and bluff you on river(although he doesn't have much left, so if hes smart he would realize he has no fold equity and would probably just give up. which is the only reason id ever consider just calling)

Given what you said about the over aggressiveness of this person I'd be looking at just getting it in. What way to best do that is up to you. If you call here and shove river it's only like 120 into a 260 pot. I think your range beats his range? I wouldn't want him folding his JT, TT, QT, AJ, 78 type hands if he will bet river with them. |

I elected to c/rai against villain- not because I thought I had much FE, but my hand was a marginal favorite against his range (at least with the money in the middle). He ended up calling Q9 w/ no spades. I think this a spot that a lot of people fold where really you should be getting it in. However- it is completely opponent dependent. Against a TAG this is a snap fold. |
