| | My first night alone by Trey, May 10
Trip report:
Went to the mall in Toledo to hang out with my best friend/basically sister Brooke, we shopped around and didn't find anything and then we stopped at Subway where I had my first food in 30 hours (I ate half of a 6" sub, yeah I know.. not healthy) and then went to see Iron Man. Holy **** that movie is epicccc! Go see it if you haven't.
Afterwards we went to Wal-Mart and Meijer to waste time and I was taking her home and she referenced something from Superbad and I was like "lol wut" and so she made me rent that as well as Juno and she and I and her roommate watched those. I passed out on the floor and just got home.
Also, bonus side note: I got followed by a state trooper for 2 miles because my right turn signal is out and I was in the left lane on I-75 when he sped up behind me. I freaked out because I didn't wanna get over to the right lane due to not having a signal and so I finally did and he followed me like real close until I hit my exit. Pretty gay.
Another bonus side note: I cried the whole drive up from Findlay to Toledo (40 minutes or so) and almost got in an accident because of it. This sucks, don't ever stop trying in a relationship, it's so much easier to try in the relationship than it is to suffer after the break-up.
---
Now I'm on my way to get my turn signal fixed and then heading to my mom's for a Mother's Day cookout. So I'll be home late tonight.

| | My top 6 Albums by Day[9], May 10
So I listen to alot of electronica. I do enjoy trance/bigbeat/breakbeat stuff. However, I generally tend to swing in the downtempo/chillout/idm direction, especially when it comes to purchasing albums. Therefore, if you enjoy slower electronica of any kind, BUY THESE ALBUMS:
NUMBER 6
Symbion Project - Immortal Game
http://www.symbionproject.com/pix/symbion_IG_72dpi_cover1.jpg
Symbion Project has some insanely awesome downtempo beats on Immortal Game. Moreover, the sound is extremely diverse across the entire album. Very sexy if you're looking for a great album w/o redundancy of texture.
NUMBER 5
Apparat - Walls
http://www.residentadvisor.net/images/reviews/2007/apparat-walls.jpeg
Apparat is SOOO GOOD. This album contains everything from trip-hop beats, to experimental indie, to straight up rhythmic IDM. A great buy for someone who's looking to tap into more electronica.
NUMBER 4
Loess - Wind and Water
http://www.n5md.com/releases/138/138.jpg
Wind and Water is a sick ambient album that I could listen to for days. It's perfect for studying, working, or idly focusing on some task. The subtle noise effects and evocative instrumentals make Wind and Water a must have!
NUMBER 3
Chris Clark - Empty the Bones of You
http://www.plong.com/MusicCatalog/C/C...%20Empty%20The%20Bones%20Of%20You.jpg
Hooray IDM. Chris Clark has been one of my favorite artists for as long as I can remember. I especially enjoy this album (it was my first!) due its heavy bass, extensive use of dissonance, and a really dark, hard gritty sound.
NUMBER 2
Secret Frequency Crew - The Forest of Echo Downs
http://www.takeoutmusic.com/sfc-cover.jpg
The Forest of Echo Downs is my #1 recommendation for someone who doesn't listen to much electronica. It has a nice range of smooth beats, with a surprisingly large use of brass instruments in their songs (atypical of most electronica). Some pieces are more slow and contemplative, while others are fast-paced energy beatdown music.
MY NUMBER 1 FAVORITE ALBUM
Trentemoller - The Last Resort
http://cimg2.163.com/ent/2007/4/20/200704201433278ea4b.jpg
Trentemoller is the most genius musician of all time. He spends an extraordinary amount of time sculpting each individual sound in his pieces, resulting in the deepest, most unique sound i've ever heard. Every single one of his songs is littered with subtle noise effects, a healthy deep bass, sexy high end pitches, all tied together with interesting melodic structures. I love EVERY song on this 13 song album, a true rarity in music nowadays. Absolutely anyone who has EARS needs to purchase this album immediately. Trentemoller Fightiiiinng~~!!!

| | competitiveness by voodoouser, May 10
I started playing poker 1 year ago and always been a "winning player", on UB i was winning and now on PS i'm still winning at a good BB/100. But i'm not a competitive person, i would like to be real more combative, having an iron will, dont give up that fast when i'm not confortable, simply my parents made me like that or that's how i made myself years after years... and i think that is why i will never be good at this game.
I start a session, if i win 1.5~2 buyin i say to myself "it's enough, dont risk losing what you already won" and most of the time i quit.
It's just so pathetic to think this way and i'm aware of it. I want to fix this but how? i have no clue, otherwise i would waste my time playing poker, that's so sure...
Maybe it's silly to fight against his own personality, i should just let it go but it's kind of weak to think this way.
I'm not whining at all, i thought about it during last days and just wanted to write it somewhere.
If you want to give me your opinion go ahead it might help me.
Bye.

| | I hate poker right know... by northsails, May 10
I haven't made any blogs in a while cause there is nothing to say. I haven't been playing alot poker and there is nothing to report unless today. I got mega drunk yesterday and wake up today with a good idea to play in the weak weekend games. As the game goes on i spotted MEGA GIGA fish sitting on one of the tables with 300 bb stack - sweet i say - He was stacking off with any pair, any draw even with Ace high. He cracked some overpairs to other players when he hit he's kicker on the bottom pair and was building his stack quickly. Ofcourse he took 4 buyins for me which is pretty standart for me against fish i play like a freaking idiot. He're is the only hand i took from him showing the fashion of the game: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/441951
The other ones are as follows:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/441949 - This was the first one. I was like yees. TPTK double up and then fucked up :@
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/441950 - Again top pair and he checks to me and i put him on Middlepair or even K high - anyway pwned
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/441948 - The most retard one. Pushing all in having zero Fold Equity. I am spewtard sgsgSLDAS
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/441947 - Yo after this one i got absolutely LOCOO and broke my new mouse in the wall. Then go to my sister room to took her mouse and when i came back he was gone ofcourse. fuck my life...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/441955 - I leave after this one . fuck today
Ended up 4x1/2 buyins down. Take care guys and GL

| | NL25 Update by jase, May 10
So I started out 4-tabling NL25 when I got to a $950 roll (Bankroll nit, I know, can't help it). Anyways it wasn't to be, I played solid but felt I hit a downswing and dropped back to like $860, I dropped back to NL10 for a few days to rebuild confidence and convince myself I'm actually not a completely useless player, anyway now I'm almost back up to $920 ready to take my NL25 shot with near 40 buys (LOL?).
Here's my graph for NL10 last few days:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/6b0b0ffcc76afdb2be3662afadafb388.jpg
Todays session was pretty hot at NL10, I made about 4 buyins in about 40min 6tabling, but the HH didnt save because I just re-installed Pokerstars (lost my notes ).
Also, a big fuck you to Lee because now my Pokertracker doesn't import HH's, PT3 won't work on my computer because the postgresql stuff won't install and I can't afford to buy PT3. Birthday present maybe? lol, I'm surprised how comfortably I played today without PAHUD.
I think when I hit $1k I'll buy PT3 because it comes with a PAHUD+PT2 key anyway! Or if anyone is buying PT3 any time soon and doesn't need the PT2 key I could ship you some $$$ for it maybe? Whatever!
Thought I'd do something a bit different and let everyone know what songs I've been listening to a lot lately, here they are;
Mobin Master - Show me Love
Jupiter Rising - Electropop
David Gray - Babylon
Shawn McDonald - Take my Hand
Pendulum - Blood Sugar
Cypress Hill - Rock Superstar
Jay-Z - 99 Problems
Celine Dion - A new day has come (lol, fucking awesome song though)
Angels & Airwaves - True Love
Rise Against - Prayer of the Refugee
Anyways, peace peace everyone <3 GL

| | a good day? by rockman255, May 09
so as i blogged earlier, i am still way down. having peaked just under $1k around maybe april 20, since then i have dropped about 1.5 buyins a day at nl25 and nl10 respectively depending on my br.
today i finally had a winning day, going up about 3.5 buyins (some hands were lost with that new pstars software glitch)
this was good. and i ran beautifully on hitting hands when other people had somewhat of a hand. (although i think once a guy calls my fh with a low underpair for 200bb pot..)
except, i ran really really bad in the sense that once the money got in, it didnt stick. i guess i should be happy that i can beat the cards, but having been loser for so long i am just depressed in general when it comes to poker, and life too i guess.
i was hoping this would be *the* day to really catch some cards. i'll have to wait for another, i think.

| | Making a poker video by Ftrunkz, May 09
Anyone know a program i can use to make a video of me playing as well as record my mic?
Reason is im interested in making a 30 minute or so vid of me 4-tabling and posting it here as a way to get feedback from anyone nice enough to watch it =). I'm sure my game still has many many leaks to plug, and i don't really get much insight on them just by posting hands of big pots where i was a little lost. I figure making a small vid is the perfect way to see these leaks.
Reply back if u have knowledge in this area thx!
