i only played 1500 hands this month already. that sucks.

is 4 tabling 6-max micro stakes bad? i mean the game is super easy but it seems like i'm barely playing any hands.

i watched don't mess with the zohan today. funny movie. plus that girl is fucking hot

June 7th, 2008 by lazymej, June 06

Well I've finally broken the $100 mark! I'm happy because that was a littl goal of mine. Now just to make another 100 so I can move up stakes again to NL10. I thought I was going to have to adapt moving up from NL2 to NL5 but it's pretty much the same thing, and it's beaten pretty much the same way.

I find myself constantly winning, but the biggest thing holding me back is my stubborness to lay down Kings or Queens when I know the other guy has me beat with Aces or something like that. That and bad beats. They always have the potential to lose you a buyin in a second. I really need to work on laying the good cards down when I know I'm beat.

So it's Formula 1 week in Montreal. Went downtown tonight and it was crazyyyyyyyy. Crazy crowds, crazy cars, crazy hot girls. Maseratis, Lambos, Ferraris, SLRs, Porsches....mmmmmmmmhhhh so nice. I'm actually going to see the race on Sunday, so that should be awesome. Taking my dad, who just flew in from Africa tonight.

So all in all, gotta keep the grind up so I can build the roll and move up limits Oh ya, and it's my birthday today. Happy birthday to me.

June Crucial! by PanoRaMa, June 06

Haven't been running like trash lately, and the 200nl FTP games are just amazingly soft and low variance compared to how high variance the 2/4 games can get. Been making a killing although I should play a ton more..

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a162/sirasoni/jun6.png

I'm really considering just dropping down to 200nl for the month, it's stress free, I can 8 table it, and I think I can sustain a huge winrate there (obv not 25 rofl but 8 is definitely within plausibility imo). The regs think like how I did maybe 8 months ago, it's easy to spot their flaws and their leaks because I went through the same thing before. At 2/4 you have everyone just aggro as hell which is saying a lot from a 29/24, not that it's hard to beat it, I think it just leads to greater variance, and I have a personal vendetta against so many 2/4 regs that I just get SO frustrated if I lose to specific regs that I hate (and who hate me). At 200nl I don't really hate anyone so it's very stress free play

Making this update because I'm not going to play this next week, got finals for class :o. After I'm done with school on the 11th I'm gonna grind like crazy I hope and destroy June. I'm coaching again which is fun and helpful for me even, being forced to have to articulate critical concepts in a straightforward and easy to understand manner. I just finished my 2nd session with a student (out of 3 so far), and I'm doing a coach/stake sort of thing with one of my RL friends after I'm done with school.

i love poker...since april ive been struggling but so far this month has been going great...2 outers/3 outers up the ass...apparently its a good move to c/shove QQ on a T high board when you were og aggressor, cus its obv that you will river a Q to beat AA and TT...floating 22 on 338 board is another +ev play and my favorite is c/ring AK on K39 type boards that have no draws...def going to make money doing shit like that as well as hero calling 44 with overs all over the board...jesus christ i hate this game

I hate bragging... by wakeboarrder, June 06

because i always end up goin on some kinda downswing and losin quite a bit...end of june i was sittin on a 10k bankroll with 2k cashed out...now im sittin on a 2k bankroll with 6k total cashed..im down close to 4k spread across 200nl 100nl and some tilted limit games. I hit a small downswing and been tilting and playing like neillyaa(shit). I do got like 1k worth of fpps which helps but not really. So im gonna try and grind 100nl till i have a 5-6k bankroll and try and regrind 200nl fulltime. I was hopin to make a good amount playin poker this summer but if i keep playin bad my hopes are fuckin over. Im gonna watch a shit load of 100nl cardrnners videos and hopefully take the weekend off. I feel like a failure.

Fuck you Stars/me

Close, but no Cigar by Bejamin1, June 06

Played well and did what I could to chip up through the middle stage of the tournament. Had lost a 45/55 vs. a short-stack that would have taken me to 16k chips but instead crippled me to 6k on the final two tables. Got my last hand all-in vs. 3 limps who all called and barely missed flipping up to 20k. Managed to cash so its not a total loss but I hate to get so close and not FT the juicy re-buy tourney.

Regards' Benjamin

DEEP STACK PLH- KKs vs. Unkown [TAG] by Jonvee, June 06

Is this too weak?
Player seemed pretty tight. Didn't have a lot of stats on the guy. Hmm Deep Stack poker I have no clue how to proceed.

Logic:
He raised in position..I re-raised telling him I had a huge had (i think he thought i was tight), he proceeds to re-raise me. Now i'm thinking, "Ok I have KKs...i don't think this guy would re-raise me with QQs cause he's solid..I think he'd call..I can't fold here obv..don't want to blow up the pot right now so let's see a flop"

Flop comes out an ace....I check.he bets I fold.

Not used to these kinds of situations.. especially Deep stack. What are your lines on how to play it better?

Re-raise again?

Like I said I only had about 30 hands on the guy, but he was playing pretty snug.

Anyway thanks guys,
