This graph is a week old. My keyboard broke and my print screen button doesn't work... Ive played about 15k hands that are missing, 90% 400nl. Also, i cleared the 4k bonus, so that was pretty cool. Overall, poker is going according to schedule. I'm little by little being able to live a normal life just by playing poker. Almost that time to move out.. Probably in a couple months.

Lately i've been trying to build some credit. A couple years ago, i got a credit card with my bank but then screwed it up and didn't pay it back for 2 years. Like 6 months ago i payed it all back and now it's so hard to get a credit card. Any tips to building credit? If you have shitty credit?

Thought it would be a good idea to do this to motivate myself and keep track of my progress. I'm not going to bore you with an epic life story, but rather I'm going to bore you SHITLESS with my recent NL25 exploits~

Mini life story (poker only):
Sep 2007: Decided I wanted to learn poker at some point as I love games in general.
Nov 2007: Learned the rules of poker, played mass Ladbrokes MTT freerolls.
Dec 2007-June 2008: Fucked around with a lot of mtts on stars, played cash tables on and off (motioned to start playing properly but never did), no real effort made and not enough money to actually invest (always cashed out winnings). Played first live game in casino at 3am pissed, and went bust (£60 stack) on 2nd live hand ever with JJ on 2J3 rainbow board (donk with 56 called my all in check raise n/c).

July 2008: Moved to a new flat and got internet connection on the 23rd July. Haven't played poker for ages and decided the time had come to make a real effort and see if I can do anything in this game. So I deposited $600 (in order to gain the full 2X reload bonus that is running).

I decided I would play a few mtts before I started seriously playing cash tables and managed to take 5th in my first donkament back to instantly boost my roll by $230. I embarked on some NL10 before realising NL25 wasn't much different and I could afford to roll myself for it.

Over the last 8 days of July I have played 12k hands (3-4 tabling), which is fairly decent considering I have a full time job at the moment aswell. The first 7k hands did not go well, I think this was down to not having played for a long time and almost a relearning period.

I spent time analysing my hands in Hold'em Manager (which OWNS btw) and quickly corrected my playstyle realising that I had spewed $300+ with super loose calls and way over-aggressive play. The last 5k hands went a LOT better, I haven't spewed or even felt a hint of tilt.

On July 31st I needed just over 200FPPs to earn SilverStar so I put in a 5hr~ session (+6BIS +2nd Royal Flush :D) straight after work to get there just in time for the August deadline.

Future: Now I'm going to withdraw my roll back to $500 and freeroll NL25 hoping to learn and earn as much as possible as I progress (hopefully) to NL50. Planning to spend a lot of time playing as I LOVE poker.

I was getting really tired so decided to quit, I get AK on the button on one of the tables, starts talking to someone one msn, I get re-raised, I go over the top and he pushes I call.

Flop comes K high, all spades.

Sweet, oh wait... I have Q9 of hearts. Last hand I was playing, was sitting out on all the other tables, and the AK had been on another table. So went +4$ for that session, sucks some above average sized balls but still, it was retarded.

lala at last rebuilded broll and with a nice rakeback today i ll be able to try own 20nl tried it over like 7k hands start of last month but turned out pretty bad coz i played sooooooo soooooo bad and lost like 7buy ins lal i remember the good old days beating the crap of 20nl 11bb/100 over 60k hands :S

Just to keep track - graph for july

Without tournament winnings, this would have been my first losing month :S

I know I would have been around 10 buyins up without losing so many flips and getting bad beats so I'm not too worried - just find it hard to find motivation to play when it keeps happening

I have moved into a new flat that has two heat pumps. Didn't have internet for a while which sucked.

Can't say I've played much poker lately, too busy studying and doing assignments Think I did my project really well though. Also got my mid-year results back, with mixed results. Will definitely be studying lots this semester :/

Sigh, another sub-par month. I guess I really just suck? I dunno, but I'm on a 60k breakeven right now (if I were to expand my graph to previous months). I did have a nice rally towards the end so that I didn't end the month in the red or breakeven, so that's nice, and admittedly I did run pretty good in that stretch, so let's hope it continues. Graph is 18k hands at 2/4, 20k hands at 1/2.

I AM making significant adjustments though. I'm now playing a tighter style, as I'm usually 27/22 but now I've tightened up to roughly 23/19. I might even be adjusting this to 21/17. Overall I'm bluffing a lot less, and just being a bit more solid overall, while retaining my lag post-flop knowledge but with now I have better hands since I'm folding marginal hands a lot more .

So I'm basically a tag now, which is kinda unfun but I really need to focus on just making money right now because I'm about to be dicked by a shitton of expenses. Fall quarter is starting up so rent + tuition + buying shit for the new apartment is going to own me. Also I'm heading to Japan (and possibly Macau for APPT Macau) in 24 days so that's going to burn my wallet for sure. Going to try to grind as much as possible while I'm still in the states, but I'm ofc brining my laptop to grind a bit while overseas (staying in Japan for a whole month).

Hey there, boys and Yugless.

Haven't updated for some time, basically because nothing interesting has happened. I have had GREAT problems with motivation regarding poker since the end of May, which resulted in breaking even in June and losing $1.5k in July (mostly NL200 6-max).

Since yesterday it's been a bit different. Firstly, Python817 encouraged me to play a session at NL400, because "it's not that tough". Being completely bored and, to be honest, somewhat desperate, I decided to give it a try. I was up $1900 at one point while 6-tabling, but then everything went straight to hell and I cashed only $500. Just after finishing the session I recalled that in the end of April I had a similar problem. Back then I played some NL100 HU, won a nice amount in a span of two/three days and after that my confidence boosted and I began playing a lot again (and, most importantly, solidly). So that's what I did again (this time a level higher) and I'm proud to say it worked.
There is also a drawback to this story. I am a bit of a fish at 1-on-1 games, I know I didn't play very well and I made a lot of very terrible calls and stuff, but I happened to get lucky a couple of times. It could've easily gone the other way and I could've ended up losing a shitload of money.

Well, at least today I played almost 4k hands at NL200 6-max and I feel that I played my A-game most of the time .

I sincerely hope that August will finally be a good month.

Ok, time has come to start my redbull cashgame challenge.
Basically I will be playing 100nl almost non stop for the next week or so with many redbulls to keep me going.
I usually dont play more than 4tables at once, but I will try to play an average of 8tables. Looking to hit about 50,000hands as quickly as possible - If i do well I might try to play another 50,000 and beat my previous time and possibly keep doing that for the rest of the month if i can get enough hands in.

Starting tonight! - I will post my PT details every now and then as i take breaks to regenerate.

Edit1: played for 2hours in some strangely aggro/tricky games, not really sure if my stats indicate the correct adjustments i made against the players or not.
