For those that dont know, I'm a big fan of hip hop in all forms. From the music to the dancing, I just love all of it. So every year Red Bull teams up with the best B-Boys in the world and they hold the Red Bull BC One B-Boy Championships, which just is the sickest display of dancing period. For those that dont know what kind of dancing I'm talking about check some of these videos out from my favorite matches:
Moy vs Hong 10 - Hong 10 completely pwns this American
Lilou vs Ronnie - Lilou is like x100 better than Ronnie. Watch Lilou from 2:55 to 3:10 in this vid. OMG?
Omar vs Lilou - The defending 2004 champion vs the 2005 champion. The end squence of moves is amazing.
Lilou vs Hong 10 - This is the final round so I only put the short summary video here since the original battle is like 9 mins long.
If these dances look interesting to you, you should definitly get the DVD since it's packed with sick b-boy battles like this plus some extras including Razhel's beat boxing.
Yesterday i tilted hardcore during my session, decided to go up a limit even if i don't have the proper BR to do so "Just to get my money back", lost 3 more BIs in 1 hand: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/199178
I think i played it good tho, i represented AK and since i built a very tight image at the table, nobody except a calling station would have called a shove in this spot. His call is horrible, i put him exactly on what he is but i was very suprised by his call knowing i raised PF. It ended a very nice session, i was swearing like crazy for like 1H after that, my wife asked me why i was so upset about a game, Rofl.
Today i planned to play 8 tables and very tight to see how it works, im still experimenting and looking for how to beat my limit (NL10). Session was good, managed to make 4 BIs playing very solid and left when i entered cooler city (copyright daut). Won the biggest pot ever in 7k hands: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/199177
At the end, i get owned by deck and decide to leave since i start tilting hardcore (again), but this time i was smart enough to quit and cut the loss. Here are some nice hands:
Got home from Argentina. Many long and funny stories, blah blah blah.
Resumed poker 2 nights later. Lost $150 in about 4 hours.
May 17th or 18th continued with $150 BR. May 23rd up to $650.
Several sites, but statistics begin when I first sat, exclusively, at 10 & 25 NL/PL 10max Hollywood Poker.
21st May @ 10pm to 23rd @ 5pm (HWP):
8981 hands @ 7.75bb100 playing like a total mass-table nit.
Waiting for Everest account to be unlocked so I can deposit the rest and get a fucking bonus at last.
Mother says I have to get a "proper" job. Although she is totally broke and complaining about money due to divorce, claims she doesn´t care about me making money from poker. Says she "doesn´t want that kind of lifestyle" in her house.
May move in with grandmother next week -.-

PS: What the fuck are people rating my blog entry low for? It´s not supposed to be interesting or a work of art. If it´s quite obvious that a blogpost is not meant to be anything special, is just a few notes for personal use or whatever, leave the damn rating system alone and stop messing up my perfect score.
The night air was warm and still. Marissa lay back against the withered chimney, her long auburn hair bunched behind bare shoulders like a sinewy pillow. "Like a dead animal", she thought as she nested her head into a comfortable position and with a delicate grasp extracted the last grey stump from a packet of cigarettes.
"Oh, J, J, J", she whispered. Smoke curled from her lips, arching and tumbling toward the skyline of perpetual city smog. "Why did it have to be monkeys, J? Of all the furry four-limbed little beasts you could have chosen, why the most uncontrollable, the most savage of them all?"
She shook her head and sighed. The shadows appeared to stir for a moment, as if a face had rotated to meet her gaze. Then another voice spoke out, softer and sweeter like that of a child, but with the solemnity of a monk in sacred prayer.
"Monkeys are cool, Marissa."
And there was not much more to be said. The mobs would disperse, the fires would die out, and those survivors with their doorsteps intact would find them visited by all kinds of official-looking folk with inquiring minds. This didn't worry the Duo, who were packing their bags before even the first police wagon could crash violently out of control. And in any case, the only doorstep they had was the armful of bricks Marissa had decided to throw at it.
The docks were generally quiet this time of night, but with fire already licking the horizon there was not a captain awake without some eagerness to leave shore. Getting onboard wasn't entirely smooth-sailing but, "A lesson is learnt with every passing obstacle!", as Marissa liked to say.
"Make them smile, then make them grin", she addressed her little accomplice with perhaps too much of a smile herself, before lowering the choking victim to the ground. They watched together as the man became a corpse, and then slipped it into the waters like some unidentifiable floating wreckage, or an abandoned gift wrapped in lace and adorned by a crimson bow.
And so the two companions escaped St. Ulta City, leaving the rotting homes and crumbling peaks to rot and crumble and goodness knows else. The journey was a rough one - Marissa made sure of that. She even sent her student on a few tasks of her own.
"Errowid, eh? Pretty name...pretty unusual at any rate", the sailor leered. It takes fifteen muscles to smile and unfortunately this crooked soul was blessed with none of them. Instead he extended a mouthful of the foulest green slabs, so littered in spots of yellow and brown it put Errowid in mind of the time she shat on the pavings at a garden party. There were even bits of moss in there.
"You must be a stow-away, right? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. It can be our little secret." Errowid did not look worried. Her uncut, silver locks swayed in motion to the rocking waves. "Good girl, you're safe with me. Come give daddy a hug".
She took a step forward and frowned up at him, withdrawing a pair of tiny pink hands from the pockets of her robe. Her nails looked unusually long in the sparse candle-light of the cabin, and took on a metallic gleam that would put the knives of men to shame. The sailor didn't notice -
"But we simply must do something about your teeth," - until it was too late.
The screams were followed by a heavy thud as the man's severed jaw was deposited on the floorboards. Errowid peered back with the expression of someone with a job well done. The sailor stumbled backwards, clutching at his open throat, and collapsed onto a waiting Marissa. She shrieked in glee and bore down on his mangled remains, biting and gnawing with a bloodlust mirrored in ruby eyes. Moments later she dropped the twitching carcass with a cackle and grabbed Errowid by the arm. In an instant they were gone, leaving only ripples in blood for the sailors to fear.
How thou becomst, most unholy legions of sex? For it is in essence of the body that we embrace the adolescent craving of man, and not of the mind. And what thoust is it that separates the one from the other, but the wanting and reasoning of such that lends to a better self.
Lo! that love is without lust, lest there be no love at all, and that love of lust is indeed lust in itself. Verily know that love repeats not as the semen squirt'th, but as all eternal memories can allow.
My night-time dreams, an off-worldly spectator might consider, are always of some ineffective hope - a desperate journey or striving left unsatisfied by the unforgiving realisation of dawn.
I feel perhaps these are the dreams of all young men freshly removed from the turnstiles of education, and that the pink deep clouds of comforting solace belong to an era forever past.
O! to sleep idly within a cot of feathers, than to brave the staircase that may lead to a bedroom of thorns.
There was one table running, the occupants of which ranged from forty to fifty years of age, with a single bearded anomaly who resembled Dolye Brunson right down to the sad, wise, unwavering glow of his eyes. I scrutinised each person carefully, with the meditative efficiency of a bee as it roams an exotic flowerbed.
"We're fucked", I said to Erik. A lone, full table of regulars - possibly some of the richest men in the district - stared back at us as if we were the very girls they might later purchase with our money.
After an impassioned wait we both sat down and bought in for the minimum 1000 peso. With an ante of 25 (there were no blinds) and a standard bet being at least the size of the pot it made sense to play safe and forget about raising non-premium hands. But this didn't seem to matter to most players and chips flew from stack to stack like silver between neighbouring magpies. After just three hands I had never felt more comfortable in my life.
By my 3rd Jack Daniels I'd won 1500 in chips and by my 6th I was up another 1k. A flopped ace here.. an overpair there.. As long as I didn't continue bet too much things were going swimmingly.
Well, inevitably the tides change, this tide in particular being the alcohol flowing through my blood. My opponents' habit of overbetting makes any mistake costly, and calling a river with ace high is simply idiotic.
In my final hand (stacks I can't remember, but they were large enough) I rather impatiently raised QJo to get one caller and a flop of Q55. This was an instant push and my opponent gaily flips Q5o; amidst a barrage of cussing scoops the pot.
"What the fuck was that? What the fuck are you doing? Queen five off? What the fuck?" I gave him the middle finger and promised I would be back for my money another day.
It feels like I've made very little the few weeks since I last posted (I'm on about $2100 - will stop posting this amount now for security's sake). Four days ago I finally knuckled down to regular play, however a variety of (computer) performance issues have made me reconsider gametype and yesterday I switched from 9t on 2 clients to 5t 5max on Hollywood. This is awesome so far; very fast-paced and forces me to adopt a higher level of focus - if only to keep from timing out.
I'm thinking a little about the reasons I play this game, and the degree to which motivation affects focus and quality of play. I'm a bit of an apathist on the whole - have little to no ambition - I simply aspire to be content. And it's easy to make me content.
Obviously my game suffers from this, so it's nice that I often wake up with a lucid dream that reminds me of my inadequacies, and the things I care about, and inspires a renewed vigour. A strange way to find motivation, but I take what I can get.
In other news I discovered a program on PTrack forums called PRfetch. It lets you import hand histories from the pokerroom database without having to obs. That means I can open any table and instantly have all data on my opponents...magic!
By the way, Poker Tracker (coupled with Gametime) is one sexy beast. It opens your eyes to the significant differences between your opponents, and allows you to make plays you wouldn't have previously thought to be intelligent in full ring.
just got back from the cinema. didn't see anything. walked round the shops for 30 minutes then watched everyone buy their tickets, sat in the car for another 30, and drove home. great. stupid family dinner. overtook 5 cars on the way there and back, pretty impressive for a rover metro in moderate rain/light ice
hit $1000 the other day. waiting for partypoker to unlock an account (taken 2 weeks so far, sigh) and for hollywood poker to cashout the $300 i made last week. 10nl 7-12 tabling hollywood poker, i recommend it with all my heart. too bad they have no rakeback, and force two big blinds per round; i might have been tempted to stay there. mm americans...yum yum.
tomorrow i guess i'll be ordering tracker at last. tried to get an old cracked version working yesterday, but release notes describe a whole load of bugs with prima, so i gave up.
i can't wait to start obsing 50nl. i will totally destroy them.
So Lyric msgs me last night at 3:00am and informs me that some chick on 2+2 saw my picture from the Bahamas and thinks I'm cute. LOL... Don't believe me?
Ding! The verdict is: The asian one is cute! There is a ego-booster for you. And to add to this ego boost, I'm finally having a winning week at poker. I was down like $5500 at the lowest point this month but I've gotten myself back to only being down $2700. Not bad at all. I'm still running pretty bad, but I think I'm playing my best. It also helped that I cashed in both the Sunday Warm-Up and the Sunday Million this past weekend.
In other news, my good friend Corwin Cole has organized and put together the Liquidpoker Private Lesson section where players can hire coaches for lessons. I have put my name up for coaching at a rate of $80 an hour (I make roughly $100/hr so I want to make it as close as possible to that). The catch is that I am not going to coach anyone higher than NL100. The reason for this is that I dont want to be helping out my fellow competition. That would be retarded. I'm actually interested in long-term students willing to set-up profit sharing deals over a period of hands. Discussion about my lesson rates can be handled by contacting me directly (AIM or MSN), but I think I'd be willing to do some lessons for just payment from profit-sharing depending on how trustworthy you are and what stakes you play.
If you are interested in lessons from me, and working out some sort of deal, contact me or just sign up through the Liquidpoker Lessons thing:

To be quiet honest with you, I think [vital]Myth and Daut are pretty excellent coaches and worth every cent they are asking. Myth is especially smart about the game as I realized after talking to him tons at Vegas. Too bad the kid is so busy and doesn't get much time to log in some hands, otherwise he'd be total baller bankin yo~.
Btw, I'm going to be in Vegas from June 15th to July 3rd. Apparently I'm sharing a condo with actionDJ, pmilanov, SakiSaki, DF_Newb, and foxfox1. Should be some fun. Give me a holla if your in vegas during that time!

Just flew into vegas. Experienced one of the worse beats i've taken in a while.
until I can move into the house im staying this summer, I booked a room in the palace station hotel. It's this little shithole about a mile off the strip. Anyway, they run some shuttles to and from the airport and the strip. The shuttles leave from the airport every hour on the half hour.
So my flight lands at 2:55 vegas time and things are looking good that i will be able to make the 3:30 shuttle. I get off the plane, get a quick bite to eat, then go to the baggage claim. The following suckout transpires:
i didnt get my luggage until 335 and missed the shuttle. So instead of riding a free shuttle I had to go to my LEAST favorite place in the world. The vegas airport taxi line.
for those of you who have been to the vegas airport, you know how awful the taxi line is. It's a 1/4-1/2 mile long line full of retired degenerations, reeking of desperation, ready and eager to drop every dime from their last pension check down a slot machine.
Look at this shit:
an hour later, wanting to kill myself, i finally got in a taxi and came over to the shithole palace station.

Since i bought PT, im struggling to break even. This graph is hideous:
I know that sounds pretty standart, but i think im cards dead and the only time i'll get a good hand, no action or some donk suck me out on river. I just can't make profit so far, i even lost money (im still up thx to milestone + donkament). Im playing very tight and since i can't get any action i try to trap people and it blows up in my face like this one:
Dunno, i need to play more hands to see if this is a regular downsing or if something is really bad in my play. I'll keep playing what i think is solid poker and once i reach 60k hands i'll know if my game is shit or if it's just variance. But to tell the truth it's really really frustrating so far, im trying not to tilt like crazy but it's fucking tough, i quit playing after 2-3 bad beats, try to play 1H later after watching a movie, going out, playing a dota game, i come back open 5 tables then get 2-3 coolers/suck outs and im out doing something else, come back get kicked in the balls, call some friends/read a book, then come back to poker and get spit in the face.
Oh and i think i just identified a major leak in my game:
I usually limp in and fold it when i don't hit a set, except if it HU and i board is low of course... Looks like i'm either unlucky with them OR i need to adjust my play, maybe stop slowplay them when i hit ? just make regular bets each streets ? I know nobody gives a shit but it helps me think about it...
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/197490 - no more slowplay from now, i'll fire on every street and make them pay if they want to draw their hands. Lesson learnt.
Ok for the rest, it's just limpin and foldin when not hitting, when i hit i get 0 action. I can't fucking fold these hands PF, that would not make sense right ? so i think iam being unlucky with these for the moment, the only leak i see is me getting outdrawn because i slowplay those like a tard. Any suggestions welcome.
So I moved into my new condo yesterday. It's only a short ways from my old place so it's pretty cool. I'm like five minutes from the ocean and still really close to everything I'm used to up here at University. I plan on waking up early and swimming in the ocean on a regular basis. I also bought a sweet mountain bike and I'm gonna try and figure out how to get to my gym through the woods (I think its possible) and develop some kind of daily routine that involves biking to the gym and back daily as well. In fact, I'm going to try and avoid driving a car as much as possible.
In the past I've worked as a lobsterman every summer but this summer I've managed to save enough money and secure a decent job bouncing at a nightclub so this is the first time in five years I won't be doing that. It's also my first summer away from home, guess I'm a real grown up now.
Had my first session in the new place today and it went really well. I finished up saving enough FPP for my second monitor which is nice. I'm going to build a new computer in a few weeks to hopefully coincide with the monitors arrival. Things are just overall going very well. I think I run really good on Mondays, because I've only had I think one losing Monday in the last like 4 months! Pretty crazy. I found a real maniac at the tables today who would never call preflop, always 3bet or fold and he limped rather than open raising. Then, I realized that on the flop, he NEVER FOLDED if he had three bet. I mean never. I got him to call my overshove with ten high once, and also with pocket tens on a J73 board (I had AJ). It was really weird and you can see some of those swings in this graph, as almost every big pot was with him:
Also, here are some pics of the new condo for those who care. I only really show my room and the common area for my roommate's privacy sake. Nothing special but it is like a good mile into the woods which I really appreciate (I've lived in a loud area/environment pretty much my whole life so quiet time is very much so embraced).
Nice little place if you ask me. Any interior decorating advice welcome.
Finally made it ! I feel so happy due to a very nice session today. Got off work sooner cuz it was very quiet and slept for like 1H30, When i woke up i destroyed the low stakes. Hum, not destroying like you do guys but in my mind i was DA machine. Caught many fishes bluffing for almost a BI and bust them on river with like second pair and them having nothing.
So i break even from now, with the winning in that donkament and being dealt in a milestone hand im up 205 bucks in 3 days, wich means 20 BIs wich is really nice for me. I really enjoy playing poker and i don't even tilt anymore when my aces or kings get cracked by POKERACEDUDELOL All In PF him holding 72o. In fact i realized i don't give a shit, i realized if i would give a shit then my game will be affected and i'll make more mistakes, so LET IT BE.
Here is a graph of the last 3 days:
And i got my biggest pot to date with a rivered full house, wich is the first time it happens to me, im used to get rivered but not river people WTF.
go blow it and more chunks at strip clubs (inside joke that i should definitely write up as a blog entry because rodeo has literally the funniest strip club story ive ever heard)
I have 2 articles in bluff magazine. one is written by me, its basically about putting people on hand ranges and making logical actions, that was in the may issue, and the second is a WSOP preview article in june centered on me and a few other young players (eric froelich, johnny lodden and a couple other guys) who a lot of people dont know about.
ive yet to see either one yet, ill try to pick up a bluff magazine when i get to vegas.
