Engaged! (Pics at the bottom)
Got enganged to my woman last weekend on 4/3. Been dating the love of my life for 6 years since high school and finally pulled the trigger. Honestly I just finally had the money to buy her a ring she deserved. Was a pretty amazing weekend. It was our 6 year anniversary so we were staying in the city for the night(NYC). We stayed at the Marriot Marquis which is a really nice hotel in times square. Wandered around during the day and then had dinner at the view, a really nice restaurant that rotates 360 every hour. At 10PM we went up to the top of the rock (rockefeller center), 86 floors up. After about 10 minutes of enjoying the views, I asked some guy to take a picture of us, then popped the question. SHe freaked out and had no idea it was coming. Everything went smoothly. Only bump was when I had to go thru the medal detector and freaked out about her seeing the ring I had in my pocket.
POKER:
Still grinding 50PLO 6max and HU. Not too many hands put in lately for obvious reasons. Having good results so far and I am addicted to the action, I dont think I can ever enjoy holdem again. THe game is very fukin swingy tho. I have a stop loss of 4 buyins so Im sticking to that, only problem is some days I only get to play for 10 minutes haha.
GOLF:
SO fukin excited that the golf season is here. Masters this weekend was awesome. Played a ton in florida and played about 4 rounds since I got back. Plan on playing every weekend and gettin my game back.

Vacation

So im on vacation in Florida for a week, each day consists of golf then poker with drinking all the way thru.
So far in 3 days I played 20 minutes of live poker and got bored out of my mind and quit.
PLO has been going very well. 2nd day here i played 50PLO and won 8 buyins. TOday i played more and won about 6 buyins. Then i played some 50PLO HU on one table and ran my 50 buyin stack up to 450 thru 3 opponents. I was crushing noobs haha. SO im up about 18 buyins or 900 dollars since I got here and I've earned a shit ton of VPP/FPP's.
Tomorrow I got golf at 8am then im playin a 64 man $120 heads up tourny at the racetrack nearby. Hopefully i run decent.

Anyone wanna go half with me on a $100 pool? Its a pool on 2+2, will be 50 each you can just transfer to me. I'll pick everything. I have won my pool last 3 years and picked winner each year. After a while he quits. I get a new table. New guy has only 12k hands at PLO50 HU but hes winning at 13 ptbb according to PTR. I have no idea how, cuz he was pretty weak. Huge calling station always trying to trap, constantly checking and folding and more checking followed by more calling. Rarely ever 3b pf. If he donks out on the flop its the nizzles. Anytime he raises its the nizzles. Also, if he has AAxx and flop is AJ3 and he pots. If turn brings ANY possible str8, he gets scared and checks. Anyway, we get in one big pot which i win. He says NH. I say i got lucky (i got the money in ahead but was lucky to get there before that). He says no he played the turn bad. I say "true"
We get to talkin more, I ask him if he saw the games on FT yesterday. And convo goes like this (from memory)

Anyway he went on to explain they are friends and have many other mutual friends. Said he got him back into poker, specifically PLO. He also said its very hard playing 50PLO while watching zigg play 300/600 lol. he said he got to watch him play and even played a few hands. Also said zigg is not that crazy postflop but he plays very risky preflop. I dk, i actually believe the kid.

If you saw my monthly graph for feb, you will notice my shit is like a fkin roller coaster. Every session, i play great, get up a few buyins, and at some point i just get doomswitched. EVERY SESSION. So frustrating playin good poker and then losing ur hard earn winnings to bullshit. These are just a few gems from today, too lazy to find more. Well February wasnt great but I didnt end up in the red so whatever. I actually only played about 2 weeks of poker in what was already the shortest month of the year. I started my full time grind on Pokerstars on the 7th, and I didnt get to play the last week cuz of internet problems. I had some crazy variance and I do not play a high variance style. I actually think alot of it comes from the high amount of short stackers flooding 50NL, im constantly in these 40-60bb pots AIPF. I ran slightly below EV but these days thats a win in my book, nothing to complain about. Im excited about next month, I plan to make March my bitch. I got a vacation planned for a week in Florida where I will play golf in the morning and grind online/live during the day. In only 2 weeks i grinded 5k VPP's so Im def going for supernova and Im shooting for 10k VPPS in March.

I live in NY right outside the city and we have gotten roughly 2 feet of snow over the past 48 hours. Its been nuts. The good part is instead of working one day from home this week as I usually do, I have worked the last 3 days from home. The bad part is that my interet is fukin retarded. It works fine and its still very fast, with one exception, it goes out for about 30 seconds - every 20 minutes. Obviously this is the perfect scenario to drive a poker player nuts but no1 else really cares. I have refused to play the past few days since I kno that if I get disconnected in the middle of a big hand I will tilt like no other. And that is very likely to happen when I am 12 tabling. It sucks because I just started on Pokerstars mid month, and I was hoping to grind out platinum star in 2 weeks. I have like 2k VPP's left and unless this shit gets fixed soon Im not gonna make it. Not to mention I have been running decent recently and was hoping to keep that going. I called the internet company and they are not even taking calls since their call volume is so high from the snow. I guess it could be worse since theres hundreds of thousands around here without power all together. I cant even play COD on Xbox live cuz of this damn shit. ROAR.
So basically im stuck inside tonight and my gf who is an accountant in the middle of busy season (shes audit not tax) is working all night tonight then saturday and maybe even sunday. This after she has already worked 70 hours this week. SO no woman, no xbox and no poker, WHATEVER WILL I DO. guess I'll drink some beers and watch the olympics, not such a bad plan B huh?
