Worst Dream EVER!
  SugoGosu, Sep 10 2008

So, last night I was playing poker right? I got on tilt, and decided to spew my money on 2 buyins of NL200. I made 2 quick buyins in like 150 hands, and I reached Silverstar. Then I woke up, and realized I'm still at $450 and I still need 1100 VPIP until I hit Silver

Nl25 Soon!
  SugoGosu, Sep 08 2008

A buyin a day, keeps the tilting away!

$50 until I hit $500 which means a shot at NL25. How do the games compare to NL10 at NL25? I have heard they are softer and easier, but I want to make sure. I'm hoping by this weekend I'll be taking a shot and possibly be a regular at that limit.

Kinda a brag post, but it's all good!

GL at the tables yo!

my first LOL at McCain
  SugoGosu, Sep 05 2008

  My Friends,

Tonight, I was deeply honored to accept the Republican nomination for President of
the United States. I am proud of my record of service to our country and would be
humbled to continue my service as your next president.

I have often said that I owe my country more than she has ever owed me. I am deeply
indebted to our country. I never let a single day go by without giving thanks for
the freedoms we are so fortunate to have as citizens of the greatest nation on
earth. This is just one of the reasons I have always put the needs of our country
before my own self-interest.

I'm very fortunate to have found a true partner in this election, Governor Sarah
Palin. Governor Palin and I have a lot in common. One thing in particular is the
nickname "maverick." I've been a maverick in Washington and I can't wait to have
another maverick join me on the ticket and in the White House as we stand up to the
status quo that has stifled reform for so long.

My friends, our nation is in deep need of reform. Our government is broken and
Governor Palin and I, along with other Reform Republicans, are ready to lead; ready
to shake up Washington and bring this needed reform. Our ticket, from top to bottom,
is ready to break our country's dependence on foreign oil, ready to reform the tax
code and reduce your taxes, and ready to support our men and women in uniform.

Unfortunately, Democratic operatives have chosen to spend this week attacking us.
They have stooped lower than anyone could have imagined.
And with just 60 days left
in this election, we must respond to these attacks with the truth. McCain-Palin
Victory 2008 is a fund set up to do just this; to set the record straight and get
the truth out to all Americans who support our cause.

Will you help our cause by following this link to make a generous contribution of
$50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more? Any amount you can give today will go a long
way in responding to these shameful attacks.

The McCain-Palin Campaign and the rest of our ticket for reform are ready to serve
our country. With your help and support, we can make this happen on November 4th.
Stand with us now and join our team.

Sincerely,

John McCain

P.S. I have spent my life in service to my country and with your help, I will be
able to serve her a little while longer as the President of the United States. I
have found a dynamic partner in this election, Governor Sarah Palin. We're ready to
lead our Party to victory this November and to govern effectively afterward. We ask
that you join our cause today by following this link. Thank you.

I love how all the ads I see on TV are bashing Obama, and none are bashing McCain, and McCain has the audacity to say that anything not amazing that is said about McCain is stooping lower than anyone could have imagined. o.O

Micro Stakes Bad Beats
  SugoGosu, Sep 02 2008

So I was averaging about 5 buyins a day for the past 2 days, made $110 in about 8k hands at 0.05/0.10 and i thought i was doing well. Then shit hit the fan

I'm running 11buy ins less than what i should be according to HEM.

Apparently, the past 5 of my sets have ran into rivered flushes or straights. Followed by flopped or turned straights into river flushes.

Today I had 6 80% favored to win hands run like shit and lose. Oh man, I'm down 8 Buy ins in the past 2 days. I hope this will end soon, so I can get into NL25 soon.

NL10 Update
  SugoGosu, Aug 27 2008

So I have been playing NL10 for a few days now, and I finally got PAHUD with my PT3 (still 2 month trial). I must say using a PAHUD feels like it's really an unfair advantage at the microstakes, it's almost like a complete map hack on starcraft. I watched SniderStyles $1/$2 NL video, and I learned so much, of course many things I can't use yet at microstake levels such as using your image to an advantage, because people at these stakes just play their cards, and I am now able to play them. Quite awesome to be honest.

Anyways, I have been running about 12.5bb/100 for the past few thousand hands now, so I guess I'm doing well. I did have one downswing, where i lost 2 buyins with things like AA to 44 PF etc... but it really is quite easy to play at this level now. I'm hoping that I can hit a BR suitable for NL25 by thanksgiving.

Here is my NL10 graph for the past week. I know I need to put in more hands

Of course cuz I'm still a noob, i have some troubles with some certain positions. Here are some hands that I dont know what to do

Shot at NL10
  SugoGosu, Aug 24 2008

So I played some NL10 for about 300 hands as I was waiting for a friend to come by and chill. I didn't do as bad as I had previously, instead I ended up break even (up $0.15). I'll post some hands for what I think I needed help with.

Daily Blog #3
  SugoGosu, Aug 12 2008

Well, today was an experience. Didn't do so well at NL10, I decided to quit after I dropped 3 buyins. I think I got coolered for 1 hand, as I got the money in at 70-30 and lost, but oh well. My bankroll now is at $220.

I think I played way too tight because I was scared of losing so much money compared to NL5. A standard c-bet is a little over $1 so that is a whole dollar gone to a c-bet. I guess I will have to get used to that in the future at my next attempt to NL10.

Some things that I think I need improvement on:

1) Don't play so scared, and play more aggressively.
2) Try to steal blinds more often especially when less people are limping in.
3) Play back against someone who attempts to steal blinds 100% of the time

Here are the hands that I think I need help on, any help is appreciated.

+ Show Spoiler +

This confused me, he previously always c-bet 100% of the time. Why would he check here? Would you check behind? Or would you take a stab?

+ Show Spoiler +

This was my biggest loss of the day, did I play this right? I am guessing I did, and it was just a standard cooler.

+ Show Spoiler +

I always have a tough spot playing 99, 1010, and JJ on all low boards against aggression. I don't know what to do T.T

Daily Blog #2
  SugoGosu, Aug 11 2008

Awesome, so I woke up at like 1:40 pm and went out to eat with my grandparents for lunch. Still hungry btw. I got back, at like 3:00 and decided to get my poker done, and reach my goal of my bankroll hitting $250 sufficent enough to start NL10. So after 1 hour of playing, I made my $15 and hit $250.

If you read my post before entitled, ACES SUCK or w/e, I have to say it still holds true, especially when you see my next hand. Aces really do suck against quad deuces.

I still havent gotten my email from Pokerstars with my entire lifetime hand history, so I guess I'll give them a bit more time. My stats aren't that great, I'm just nitting it up and it's working out wonderfully for the time being. I know I'll have to open up at the higher stakes, but for extreme micro stakes, I guess all i would have to say is don't get into marginal positions like 2nd pair or 2 overcards etc... and respect huge raises, and money will just flow right into your pocket.

I'm going to go off and play some fun SC and then head out to a free poker tournament maybe a 25 min drive away and who cares if I win, because tomorrow I will take a shot at NL10. I remember there used to be a lot of calling stations, so I am guessing I would have to continue to nit it up, and take them to value town. I'll see you tomorrow. WEEEEE.
