June 15th, afternoon, was powering my way to supernova, dropped $650 or so. Thanks to a good morning session, I was only down $100 or so.

June 16th, played the supernova freeroll, busted out about 100 places before cash. Was playing a couple rebuy donkaments ($20+2, 1 rebuy 1 addon + $3R) lost about 80. Heres the hands the ended my 20+2 & lost my stack on 3R (within 2mins of each other)

Last night, decided since I bought that $1500 bonus for 100k FPPs, I'll try and 9 table some to get sick VPPs. I ended up down about 450 in a hr. A few retardo setups + a couple retardo spews

Today, I sat down and played semi solid for the first bit, just my usual 5 tables. Then shit hits the fan. I dont even know how to describe some of these... fuck heres the graph.



So in the last 3 sessions, I'm down maybe $1750. I need another break. This is just way too much stress for me at the moment.

Oh yah, for the month, I'm up maybe 1900 left. I peaked at hmmm...3850? gg me

What a sad sad session
I hit supernova last night so I bought that $1500 bonus for 100k FPPs. Decided I'll 9 table today to get some sick VPPs to clear that bad boy.

Results? -$450 in 1.1k hands. Reasons?
Set over set (1)
Top pair + FD in 3 bet pot vs bottom set (1)
Top pair in 3 bet pot vs middle set (1)
Turned trips ran up against turned boat (1)
Sprinkle in some gut shots against shortstacks, and no action with AA/KK, all this amounts to...

How many of you watch or have watched the TV show Becker? It's a sitcom that ran from 1998-2004 I believe about a doctor (Becker) who is an asshole

The show itself is pretty entertaining. On one particular episode, Becker explains to the other characters about the so called "rubberband theory" (or elastic, w/e) Basically, when something good happens, the rubberband is stretched a little bit longer. In the episode, he was running mad hot hitting the river every time. No lineup at the post office, big tax return, found his gold pen that he lost, someone returned his wallet (with the tax return), and so on and so on. And then, he gets robbed of everything by a petty thief who didnt even show him a gun.

Right now, my rubberband is stretching. I'm waiting for it to hit me in the face. Therefore, I live in constant fear.

I guess this should carry on from my previous blog post. After my -11BI swing in 3 days last weekend, I called off poker for the rest of the month for myself. It was only 4 days of abstinence, but since I'm so damn weak and addicted, I only made it through two days.
On Wednesday (no class), I had a +4BI afternoon session and felt great. But the night session, I managed to lose all of it back + some more. I was playing like my same spewy self, which I'm not too happy about. Heres the graph for Wednesday


On Thursday, after getting home from class at like, 6:30pm (gay) and had some food, I was flipflopping between playing 25 or 50NL, and 5 or 9 tabling. I ended up going for 9 tabling 50NL on my desktop as some sort of stress free fun. The session started off well with some moron donk donating to me. And then I got coolered I think, went mad spewy and dropped a couple BIs or more, on stuff that was absolutely preventable. After that, I buckled down and just tried to grind it out (hand 1300-2100, break even) After that, I started running mad hot and people started making plays at the most horrible time (for them). I ended up winning about 9 buyins over 4k hand session.


This wrapped up my month at about +$1100, which is cool. Finally a winning month

Fast forward back to end of May. After the big session, I tried to get some sleep. I have another midterm on Tuesday so I was hoping to get some studying in on Friday. My plan was to study 90mins and pull a 90min session. That did not happen for several reasons. First off, I managed to get absolutely zero sleep. I flopped around in my bed for a couple hours, the whole time not being at all tired. I got up after that, played on my DS for a bit, and hopped on my laptop in the name of "studying."

I started off by going over some notes while having 2 tabs cued to youtube on different songs (that I have to manually look up and let it load while on pause since my internet is slooww) This obviously didnt last very long. At about 3:30, 4ish, I was moderately tired so I tried to sleep. But, to no avail (thanks to the 710ml bottle of coke I chugged during "studying"?) I gave up at about 5, came back on my laptop and went on music.download.com and cued up some songs on the player there and started a short session at 100NL. The session itself went well. I started off by being coolered set of 6s vs set of Js, and made a couple good laydowns prior to that in pots where my hand got royally fucked. I think something like top 2 turn completes 4 to straight + flush. I played for a couple hours and won about $160?

After that, I grabbed some food, took a shower, and went out to school to "study". Theres a 7/11 very close to the campus close to where I live (my school has like 3 different campus locations) and bought one of these bad boys.

I had the silver one as usual. The thing is something like 130mg of caffeine, which kept me going for awhile. At school, I ended up downloading music for about a hr. Did another lil bit of notes, before getting bored and quitting. That was all the studying I did all day, maybe 30mins worth.
I kept having to piss all day because I drank way too much liquids to keep me awake. But lets move on.

After this, I packed up my shit and went wandering through the mall. The Surrey campus (the one near my house) is located in/by a small shitty mall. The mall itself sucks, what I like is that theres a food court. So lunch was a tossup between dimsum bun type things, or poutine. I opted to go with the poutine from New York Fries. Great choice. The girl that made it for me looked very disinterested in her job and didnt smile at all. Stupid whore. Anyways, she packed the fries like shes supposed to, added the mystery cheese on top, then came the gravy. mhmmm So I took that and started working away at it. Only then did I realize... some of the fries were cold, some of the fries were hot, the cheese was barely melting, and all in all, the thing was just grossssss. (dumb fucking brain way to go) Never getting poutine from NYF again.

My afternoon consisted of more poker of course. Long story short, my major heater continued, netting me about $400 putting me up about $560 for the day I think. After the session, it was time for home. Nothing left to do at school and I was about to crash. The bus ride home was crap, I was lucky enough to get a seat but there was tons of people standing and stuff. Crowded shit. I crashed on the bus and fell asleep for the whole 20min ride or so. I woked up just before having to get off, sick timing.

First thing after getting home? More poker (in the basement where its cool). That session I went up another buyin and stuff I think. After that, dinner, and another session lol. All in all, I was up just over 8 buyins yesterday. Bringing my running total in the two days to about +$1350 roughly. Ship it! Heres the graph for yesterday


I went to sleep at 12 and just got up a couple hrs ago. 11hr sleep!

The last three days were shitty. It just seems like I can never keep my cool at 100NL for whatever reason. On 50, I'm fine. A lot of the times I just shrug it off. Not sure why at 100, I just go piss spew after a couple suck outs. Anyways, the last three days is best described by this graph



Combine this with my earlier entry, you can see that May could've potentially been a very good month. Buttttt its not. I think I'll end the month up about $650 or so.

I'm really starting to wonder if I've reached my plateau as far as capabilities go though. Its starting to seem less and less likely that I'm being fucked over by anything besides my inability to beat 100NL.

As far as superstitions go, the last Saturday of the last two months (April and May) have both been atrocious. I'm down combined 18 buyins for the two days. Maybe I wont play next time they have the monthly $100k.

Lastly, this month has been my biggest VPP/FPP month by far. Racked up 21047 VPPs, which is a lot to me considering I mainly 4 or 5 tabled during the last half of the month. Currently standing at close to 86k VPPs for the year, so I'll be at supernova maybe end of June, early July, thereabouts. After that, all FPPs go towards this.

This is my stats for the early part of May while I still played mostly on my desktop. Seems like the first 11k hands or so I was playing pretty shitty and putting myself in positions where I wasnt expected to win much (spew?)The latter part of this sample, I started playing better/flopping good draws and shit. But, my net run was like -1k some or something, so that sucks. Guess I could be up more this month

Btw, my desktop seems to not be fast enough to run the whole 100+k hands I have in the current database, and pokerev software doesnt let you do date ranges like good ol' PT. Any suggestions as to how I can solve this problem?

Todays graph! Basically I lost a ton of small pots since I keep missing the flop completely (99 flops A K Q and vice versa) made a horrible bluff, and got sucked out for a few buyins.

The QQ vs A8 hand was the last straw. I can be right, get it in with the best of it, and still lose.
